Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 44Ascendance in Chaos.

"..., hmm, a demon... with that bloodline too," Asmodeous murmured, his voice resounding.

"Hah. Hmm, a similar but different blood. You are an interesting breed," the small demon commented, his face adorned with a huge grin.

"Watch your words," Asmodeous threatened, his aura released, though he was not here physically.

"Well... I just decided to come here. The fact that you want to invade us... a primordial demon is fascinating," the small demon said, his hands clasped behind his back.

Asmodeous narrowed his eyes. This demon was strong—at Rank 4. "Are you the strongest?" Asmodeous asked.

"Probing... Hehe... No. But I have a message for you. Our coordinates are 556.765.676.566... outside of the be...

Besides... g... At the Omniverse tagging," the small demon revealed, smiling.

Asmodeous remained silent, quite shocked, but then returned to normal. After all, they were demons—brave, cruel, and warlike. Never afraid of a fight.

"We will come soon," Asmodeous said, his expression chilling.

"And we will be waiting," the Rank 4 demon replied, and then—

**...boom...**

A large explosion occurred, and just as it threatened to expand beyond a one-meter radius, something stopped it, causing it to shrink until it was as tiny as a pinhole.

The Rank 4 demon stretched out his palm, and a tiny marble appeared. He threw it slightly upward and flicked it with his fingers.

**....shrooom....**

It disappeared, reappearing in the sky of the abyss, and then... it exploded.

The distance covered by the explosion reached millions of miles, but luckily, it occurred in the sky. The unfortunate demons flying nearby were eradicated, but the Rank 4 demon didn't care.

"And you... what's your name?" the Rank 4 demon asked, looking at the explosion with satisfaction.

"Um... Junnie," she replied stiffly, her mind blank. She didn't understand what had just happened. Why did the plate self-destruct? What was this? She was confused—what power was this?

"Good... welcome to the abyss," the Rank 4 demon said, laughing, before disappearing immediately.

"What should I do now?" Junnie said as she collapsed to the ground. The plate was destroyed, her memories changed; she couldn't contact her master, and now she was stuck here.

**"So, what killed you?"** Sun Wukong had shrunk his body to a normal height of 1.7 meters and sat on top of a mountain edge, swinging his legs and cleaning his ears. He was still in the universe where he found the titan's body, but now he was on a new planet—one that was significantly weaker.

The difference between a world and a universe is that in a world, higher-level beings can't enter, whereas in a universe, any being can enter, excluding beings as powerful as the universe itself, as their very existence is like that of a universe.

"Well, I was born some aeons ago... then I was—" Just as the titan was about to explain, Sun Wukong cut him off.

"I'm not interested in hearing your life story. Just tell me what killed you," Sun Wukong said with disgust.

"This monkey..." the titan thought with a smile. After living for aeons, this was the first time he had heard someone say this to him.

"Alright, I met a sealed being at the sixth layer of space while traveling," the titan said.

"Hehe... reminds me of Buddha. I guess I can kill him now," Sun Wukong replied, his smile widening.

"So, what's the sixth layer? What Rank is that being?" Sun Wukong asked, his curiosity piqued. He had learned all about the ranks of beings across different planes, realms, and Omniverses.

"Well, there are different layers of space, each like a dimension of sorts. I will explain this later. Each layer of space contains a higher level of power that beings must understand. The composition of a universe or world is derived from these layers of space, from which the so-called universe is formed.

How is a universe formed? Once a law source is tapped, it is isolated from the rest; a small branch from the gigantic orbs of laws will be separated.

That branch will grow on its own, and when it reaches a required size, it will release an attractive force that causes other small branches from the orbs of laws to separate. Then comes the most important part: a layout from the consciousness of the Omniverse will be inputted into it, and then... a universe is formed.

The sixth layer contains what is called rules. To break through to Rank 5, you need to understand a rule. Rank 4 beings come here for faster travel and to learn these rules," the titan explained.

"I didn't ask how a universe was formed, but... okay. So what do you want to teach me?" Sun Wukong replied, his lack of interest in the formation of universes evident.

"Monkey, you should know this; it's valuable, especially when you break through to Rank 3," the titan insisted.

"Okay, okay... noted. Just teach me," Sun Wukong said, now standing up.

"Alright. At Rank 2, you can gain access to the second layer of space, but you can't stay for long. Only quasi-Rank 3 beings can remain there for extended periods," the titan said, his voice now serious.

"To get there, you need to use your newly improved element," the titan added.

"Alright... hmm," Sun Wukong grinned as his body changed, hardening with a golden glow.

He reached into his ear and pulled out something: his staff. The staff grew larger as Sun Wukong's size increased, finally settling at over 120 meters.

"Hmp..."

A loud sound echoed as Sun Wukong smashed his staff into the sky.

**....srip....**

The sky tore open, revealing a dark space. Every being on the planet felt the breath of death. Chaos erupted as everyone fled from the black void now visible in the sky.

The mountain below was destroyed, reduced to smaller debris. The area dozens of miles around was replaced by a massive hole, a testament to the shockwave hitting the ground from Sun Wukong's strike.

Sun Wukong reached into the void and quickly withdrew his hand, examining it.

He discovered that all his hair was gone. His hand was bare, and he frowned. If his hand had remained there longer, perhaps he would have bled.

The titan hadn't been joking.

"Well... I see now," Sun Wukong said, observing the planet. The torn sky was slowly devouring it. He had destroyed an entire planet with a single move.

This realization highlighted how strong he was and how weak this planet was. The golden glow vanished as he flew upward.

Sun Wukong was a mixed-blood, so he had no wings or horns, but his body was now stronger.

Shortly after he left, the entire planet was devoured, and the massive hole began to close.

Void landed near a massive portal, towering and immense, with countless demons swarming in. This was a large-scale war, but where the portal led, no one knew. Void wasn't afraid. Even if it led back to the DC world, fear wouldn't cross his mind—not after all he'd become.

"System, break through to Rank 2," Void commanded with a smile. Beside his colossal form stood Linkir, her face bowed in shame. Her master had seen her in this vulnerable state.

*(Host, the breakthrough will cause some changes. Don't you want to go somewhere else? Being at the front of a portal isn't the best choice.)*

"Oh, I know, System," Void replied, a wide grin spreading across his face. "But do you know what makes an iconic entrance?"

*(Yes, host... you mean...)*

"Exactly." Void's grin widened as he strode toward the portal.

---

Void emerged on a new planet, in a universe embroiled in chaos. Before him, the long-standing war between angels and demons raged, their forces locked in a ferocious clash.

Void's body began to grow—32 meters... 50 meters... until he reached a towering 120 meters. Just when it seemed his transformation had stopped, the blessing surged through him, pushing his height to 140 meters.

He surveyed the battlefield with a smile, his Rank 2 aura radiating out, immense and imposing. A thrill of excitement coursed through him. This strength was intoxicating, unimaginable. How much stronger had he become? Tenfold? A hundred?

Perhaps even a thousand times more powerful than before.

His former self was nothing but an ant in comparison.

---

The battlefield was a chaotic dance of light and darkness. Angels and demons clashed with brutal intensity, death looming at every corner, souls swirling all around. Each side fought fiercely, not just for victory but for the very essence of the fallen—demons devoured angelic souls to strengthen themselves, while angels converted demonic souls to create new allies.

Weapons of divine and chaotic origin filled the air, their auras clashing violently.

Void chuckled as he floated closer to the battle, his eyes locked on the angelic forces. His first battle post-breakthrough would be against them.

---

Back at the portal, Linkir looked up as Void left, a sigh of pain escaping her lips. She stepped into the portal, knowing she would face new enemies on the other side. Whatever awaited her, fear did not take hold. She would get stronger—she had to, to escape.

On the other side, Linkir gasped at the sight before her. The divine plane stretched out for millions of miles, its once-majestic cities now lying in ruins. Winged, white creatures—angels—fought ferociously against demons in the midst of this shattered paradise. Only one city stood unscathed, a beacon of beauty, with its gates constantly unleashing new waves of angelic soldiers.

From the portal, demons poured out, screaming and roaring, with monstrous aerons flying in formation above them.

"Is this a real war?" Linkir whispered, overwhelmed. This was the very definition of battle—every creature here was at least Rank 1. To be Rank 0 in this place was to be nothing.

Fear gripped her. She was only at the early stages of Rank 1—a cannon fodder.

Her thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a blazing light hurtling toward her. A sword strike, broken from a larger attack, was racing towards her at deadly speed.

---

*Slash.*

Blood sprayed as a massive wound split Linkir's body in two, diagonal from shoulder to waist. Pain and regret washed over her.

"Am I going to die?" she whispered, her vision fading as her body collapsed onto the ground.

"It's all over," was her last thought as she closed her eyes.

---

"What should we do with her? We can't just leave her—after all, we did help," a voice echoed faintly, followed by the sensation of searing pain in her head.

"You're only saying that because of her body," a female voice retorted, clearly frustrated.

"A gesture of kindness," the male voice replied with a nervous chuckle.

"Hmph... pervert."

Linkir stirred, slowly waking. Opening her eyes, she found herself in a dilapidated hut, the walls cracked and holes littering the roof. The pain in her stomach surged as she tried to sit up.

"Aaaargh…" Linkir groaned, catching the attention of the two voices.

Two young faces appeared before her—one a small girl with an oval, milky face, and the other a teenage boy, his handsome features already apparent.

"Hello! My name is Shin Ye, I'm the one who rescued you," the boy introduced himself, rushing to Linkir's side and lifting her hand to kiss it.

Shocked by the gesture, Linkir struggled to react, her body still wracked with pain.

"Hey!" The little girl slapped her brother's hand away, glaring at him. "Don't mind him."

"My name is Anya," the girl added with a smile, her cuteness only enhanced by her expression.

Linkir gripped her head as dizziness and pain surged through her. The two children waited in silence as she recovered, and after a few moments, Linkir finally spoke.

"How did I get here?"

"Oh, my lady, you fell from the sky like an angel!" Shin Ye exclaimed excitedly, walking closer. His almond eyes twinkled as he gazed at her face. "You're as beautiful as one too."

"Stop it," Anya muttered, frowning. Her brother had always been like this—despicable and a pervert, with a strange fondness for older women. When she'd once asked him why, he said it was because they were 'more mature and sweet.'

"Fell from the sky... How am I alive?" Linkir wondered aloud as she slowly stood.

Her body, still weak, trembled. She was naked, and as she tried to steady herself, Shin Ye hurried to her side to help.

"Thank you," Linkir managed, though the pain and headache still lingered. It was better than when she had first woken up.

A muffled sound and tingling sensation caught Linkir's attention, and she glanced down.

To her shock, Shin Ye had buried his face in her chest
