Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 49 Shen ye determination

"...I choose..."

"Master... are you sure I should enter this? It feels like a furnace in here," Ariya said, her face twisted with discomfort. Her master had just drained some blood from a Rank 4 being, and now it was pooled before her.

The room was unbearably hot—far hotter than anything she had ever experienced. She only managed to stay conscious because she was a high-level Rank 1 being. She had broken through rapidly due to the cultivation techniques she had learned from her master, allowing her to reach this level in record time.

"Yes," her master replied calmly, "if you want revenge, you must take risks to get stronger."

Ariya hesitated, looking at her master, who wore a long robe with nothing underneath, every detail visible to her. "Master... if I fail, will I die?" she asked, her voice barely audible.

"Yes, you will. Knowing this, will you still enter?" her master laughed, her eyes fixed on her disciple.

After a moment of silence, Ariya steeled herself. "Yes, I will," she said, stripping off her clothes. Her flawless body was fully exposed to her master, who clicked her tongue in admiration as Ariya slipped into the blood pool.

"She won't die... but I can't tell her that. I must see how strong her will and determination truly are," her master thought.

As Ariya entered the pool, she was immediately assaulted by the pungent smell of blood and overwhelming heat. Her skin began to peel as the blood seeped into her pores.

"Aaah!" she screamed, the pain unimaginable, but she continued, sinking deeper until her entire body was submerged. Only the bubbles rising to the surface hinted at her agony beneath.

The blood invaded every part of her body, burning her from the inside out, transforming her. She began to run the cultivation technique her master had taught her, and as her absorption of the blood increased, so did the pain. Her insides felt as if they were molten, and her face became disfigured beyond recognition.

"Let's see how strong you become," her master mused. This pool was merely a drop of blood from the Rank 4 being, a testament to its terrifying power.

Minutes passed. The bubbling stopped, and the blood level in the pool began to lower. Finally, after an hour, Ariya's body emerged—her skin now blood-red.

"You did it," her master said, smiling as she stepped forward. All the blood had been absorbed, turned into Ariya's energy. "Oh, and you've broken through to Rank 2. Interesting... this light element of yours will be a real problem for our enemies," her master remarked, lifting Ariya's limp body.

... *squish... squish* ...

"Softer now..." her master teased with a grin, touching Ariya's transformed body.

A massive figure, nearly 300 meters in length, was curled up in the void of space. Its body radiated both chaos and divine auras, exuding a strength so great that even beings of the same rank would struggle to harm it.

The shape was wolf-like, with spikes protruding from its elbows and joints. This was the body of the first-ranked human—a hybrid of gods and demons, a unique bloodline capable of rivaling even the Archangels or the progenitors of the original sins.

This was Mark, on the verge of a breakthrough. Stay updated through empire

*Vro... vro...*

A powerful force began to pull in all nearby energy. It started with a radius of thousands of meters but quickly expanded to encompass entire kilometers, light-years, and eventually thousands of light-years. Low and mid-level planets were drawn in, disintegrating into pure energy. Even black holes were absorbed, their intense gravitational force no match for the pull.

Suns, celestial bodies—everything was reduced to its purest form.

Time passed. Days turned into weeks and months as Mark's body continued to grow stronger and larger.

300 meters... 400 meters... 500 meters... 1 kilometer...

Finally, a massive energy vortex appeared, the precursor to a black hole.

Months later, the energy dissipated, leaving only the large, imposing body of Mark behind. He stretched out, and as his features emerged, the space around him tore, revealing the second layer of space for a brief moment.

"Finally, a quasi-rank 3 being," Mark muttered, his voice so powerful it caused space itself to tremble. He could now shake entire regions of space with just his words.

Mark's form had barely changed, aside from his size increase. His body was a deep purple with streaks of black. Spikes jutted out from his joints, long and razor-sharp. His face was wolf-like, with a tail that dwarfed even his enormous body. His claws were sharper than before.

Clenching his fist, he tore through space itself, catching a glimpse of the second layer once more.

"Last time I entered, I nearly died," Mark recalled. "But now, I can sense my elements better. I think I can push them to perfection. Let's see if I can survive longer this time." With that, he stepped into the second layer of space.

*Shrip*

The tear in space sealed itself behind him as Mark vanished.

**On a high-level planet...**

"I choose..." Linkir stuttered, her voice shaky as she looked between Shen Ye and Anya, who was kneeling beside her brother, sobbing. She couldn't bring herself to make this decision.

Her master stood silently at the back, arms folded, watching with a grin.

Closing her eyes, Linkir finally made the call. Shen Ye was on the verge of death. "I choose Shen Ye," she whispered, the smell of burning flesh thick in the air.

As the words left her lips, the energy drained from her body, and she collapsed, weeping uncontrollably. Her tears flowed freely as Void, watching from the shadows, grinned wider.

"Oh... they say demons are heartless. I didn't know Aerons were too," Void mocked, his laughter filling the air.

Shen Ye's expression was one of shock as the flames consuming him suddenly vanished. Anya, equally surprised, stopped crying.

Linkir remained kneeling, devastated.

"Transform into your true form," Void commanded, his tone cold and unfeeling. Anya, still hugging Shen Ye's injured body, looked on in fear.

"Brother," Anya whispered through her tears.

"Anya, stop crying. I'm fine," Shen Ye groaned, his burnt hand reaching up to wipe away her tears. The roughness of his palm against her cheek only made her cry harder, though the warmth of his touch brought some comfort.

Linkir began to shift into her true form. Now standing over two meters tall, her body had become more streamlined, with sharp claws nearly five inches long. Her hair, reaching her waist, could now transform into spikes at will, moving independently. Her face, beautiful beyond measure, was framed by long black and red scales. Her eyes, glowing crimson, added to her deadly appearance.

"Why don't we make this fun?" Void suggested, his gaze falling on the little girl before him. Linkir's eyes were cold, locked onto Shen Ye and Anya. With one command from her master, she would kill them both without hesitation.

Void raised his hand, and a massive sword materialized before him. Shen Ye's eyes widened in shock and awe. There was something primal about wielding such a weapon—a sensation that stirred something deep within him, like the excitement boys feel when handling powerful tools.

The sword was colossal, over 70 meters long and 12 meters wide. Its blade was white, adorned with a pattern of black flames. Nine glowing red holes were embedded along its length, each pulsing with a sinister energy.

Void gripped the hilt, feeling the weapon's faint but distinct pulse, as if it was alive. "When will you truly awaken?" he muttered, lifting the sword as it vibrated in response, chiming softly.

"Fine, fine... I can't wait to see you born," Void grinned, raising the sword to slice his finger. Two drops of blood, each five meters in diameter, fell from the wound before it healed instantly. The drops splattered over Shen Ye and Anya, covering them entirely. (A large chuck of blood is needed for the transformation. A single drop of his blood isn't that much )

Shen Ye collapsed immediately, overwhelmed by the power of the blood. Anya tried to resist, her face twisted in agony as the blood seeped into her body, paralyzing her lower half. Eventually, she, too, succumbed and fainted.

"Will you survive?" Void thought, staring at Anya. For Shen Ye, there was no doubt—he was the son of destiny. He wouldn't die so easily.

An hour passed before Shen Ye stirred, his aura significantly stronger. He had broken through to the peak of Rank 0.

"I... my body..." Shen Ye stood up, astonished by the changes.

"Why did you...?" Shen Ye asked, looking up at the towering primordial demon and Linkir, who stood silently beside Void.

"Just an experiment," Void replied nonchalantly, his eyes cold and unfeeling. "I'm honestly surprised you both survived."

"What...?" Shen Ye was confused for a moment before his thoughts rushed back to his sister. He turned abruptly, his heart sinking as he saw her lying unconscious, naked on the ground. Her clothes had been burned away, revealing something... different.

Anya's body had transformed. White scales now covered her skin, and two small horns jutted from her head. Four sharp fangs protruded from her mouth, her once gentle face now fierce and strikingly beautiful. She stood at 1.6 meters, and two bulging formations on her back hinted at wings, though not fully formed yet. She resembled a dragonborn.

"Sister!" Shen Ye shouted, but she didn't respond. Desperate, he tried to rush to her side, but Linkir appeared before him in an instant, effortlessly scooping up Anya and stepping back to Void's side.

"Bring her back!" Shen Ye cried, his voice filled with desperation. But Void merely chuckled.

"Weakling," Void sneered, turning away as a massive portal opened behind him. The temperature spiked, causing the ground to melt and the air to shimmer with heat. Despite the intense heat, Shen Ye remained unharmed, his newly enhanced strength protecting him.

"I swear, I will find you. I'll take back my sister, and then... I'll kill you!" Shen Ye shouted, his voice full of determination and fury.

Linkir moved before he could react, grabbing Shen Ye by the throat and lifting him effortlessly into the air.

"Leave him," Void said dismissively, waving a hand. "Empty threats." Linkir dropped Shen Ye, who fell to the ground gasping for air.

"I'll be waiting," Void yawned, stepping through the portal with Linkir, who carried Anya in her arms.

Shen Ye lunged forward, but the portal closed before he could reach it.

"Damn it!" Shen Ye roared, slamming his fist into the ground with all his strength. The earth cracked and split beneath him, sending molten rock surging from the depths. A massive ravine, over 5,000 meters long, formed in an instant, magma flowing into the crevices.

"Bastard!" Shen Ye cursed, tears streaming down his face. He remained there for a moment before finally turning away.

---

Shortly after Shen Ye left, a middle-aged man appeared on the scene. Standing 10 feet tall, he carried a spiked war club and radiated a wild, unrestrained aura. His legs were bare, and he wore only simple armor on his upper body.

"Who did this?" His thick voice rumbled as he crouched down, surveying the devastation. His hand reached out to touch the molten ground.

"He's pretty strong," the giant muttered, examining the aftermath.Thousands of miles were scorched , the landscape covered in rivers of molten rock.
