Chapter 62: What’s Going on with You
Chapter 62
Li Zhen's face was pale. She lifted her left foot to run, but the door was pulled open and her hair was grabbed and dragged into the room, thrown on the floor.
Li Zhen was dazzled by the throw.
Xiao Tai walked out from behind more than a dozen men, his head still wrapped in thick gauze. "Damn it, you slutty bitch! Weren't you still so cocky yesterday? You f**king b**ch, talking nonsense again!"
It took Li Zhen several good seconds to regain her senses.
Her head was still dizzy.
Xiao Tai held Li Zhen's chin, forcing her to look up. "Where's the man who beat me yesterday? Where is he?"
"I don't know."
"You don't know? He punched me for you yesterday. How could you not know where he is?"
Xiao Tai got up and gritted his teeth. "The entire seafood market in Jin City's south, my big brother and I run it. I've been selling fish for more than ten years, my heart is as cold as a fish knife. How dare he hit me! I'll chop him up today!"
Li Zhen: ...Big brother is so overdramatic!
"Call him and tell him to come over!" Xiao Tai threw a cell phone next to Li Zhen. "If he doesn't come over... Do you see the dozen or so guys behind me? They'll do to you what I did to Zhang Yucui yesterday if he doesn't come!"
Li Zhen was instantly jolted sober.
Even if she didn't say where Lu Yanming was, wasn't he already on his way home?
No matter how good a fighter he was, could he really beat more than a dozen men by himself?
She had to contact Lu Yanming!
"Okay, I'll call." Li Zhen picked up the phone, leaned on the sofa and struggled to stand up, looking unusually obedient.

Just as Li Zhen dialed, Xiao Tai grabbed the phone back and threatened in a cold voice, "Wait, I advise you to be smart. You can't say anything extra on the phone, just say seven words: I'm home, come quickly."
Li Zhen frowned.
It seemed this Xiao Tai wasn't so stupid after all.
Li Zhen said, "That's too abrupt, he'll definitely know something is wrong. Adding the nickname I normally call him would make it more natural."
Seeing Li Zhen seriously discussing with him how to trick that man over, Xiao Tai felt cold inside. After all, a woman only cares about herself.
They looked so proper, yet were even more twisted than him?
Xiao Tai waved at a man next to him. "Go to her closet and find stockings to tie her hands up. Gag her mouth with one too."
"No!" Li Zhen pleaded, "Can we not use stockings?"
Even if they were her stockings, Li Zhen still found it very difficult to accept!
"Are you the kidnapper or am I the kidnapper? Don't negotiate with me!"
"Brother Xiao Tai," Li Zhen called him sincerely. "The stocking gags on TV are fake. They don't actually stay in at all. The tongue can push them out easily. Try tape instead."
Xiao Tai looked at her suspiciously.
But thinking about it, it did seem like something stuffed in the mouth could easily be pushed out. So Xiao Tai waved his hand again. "Find some tape."
A man in black brought tape. Xiao Tai ripped off a piece and was about to stick it on Li Zhen's mouth.
Li Zhen dodged back a little. "Brother Xiao Tai, actually tape doesn't stick well either, because..."
Xiao Tai stuck it on with a "slap" and wrapped several circles around Li Zhen's head.
"Shut up! You talk too much!"
Now Li Zhen really couldn't speak.
She also didn't know if Lu Yanming understood her hints.
He wouldn't really just rush over blindly, would he?
After ten minutes, Xiao Tai grew impatient waiting. "Why isn't your man here yet?"
Xiao Tai asked but no one answered. He glared fiercely at Li Zhen.
Oh right, she was gagged.
Xiao Tai signaled with his eyes.
A man in black unwrapped the circles of tape again.
Regaining her freedom, Li Zhen took two deep breaths and quickly answered, "I took the bus so I got the bus lane. Of course that was fast. He's driving. You know how congested Tianfu Second Street gets. Didn't you take Tianfu Second Street yesterday too?"
As soon as she finished, her mouth was taped up again.
Li Zhen glanced at the only intact piece of furniture in the house, the clock on the wall.
It was only 6:30. With traffic, it made sense he'd be a little late.
Just as Li Zhen was thinking,
Suddenly there was the sound of keys unlocking the door.
The door opened.
Lu Yanming's tall figure stood in the doorway. His gaze behind gold-rimmed glasses was gentle. He exuded an aura of leisurely elegance.
He glanced over the dozen or so men in black, and Xiao Tai with his head wrapped in bandages. His expression was calm.
Li Zhen closed her eyes.
It was over. Lu Yanming hadn't picked up on it. Now there was no saving the two of them.
"Finally here. I've been waiting a long time for you!" Xiao Tai yelled harshly.
The yell made the bruised cheekbone where he'd been hit yesterday throb painfully.
Xiao Tai held his head. Seeing the other was still indifferent, his anger grew deeper. "You don't seem surprised at all seeing us. Aren't you afraid?"
But Lu Yanming was as if he hadn't heard. His gaze was fixed only on Li Zhen in the corner. "Did they hurt you?"
Li Zhen shook her head vigorously, whimpering through the gag.
"I'm talking to you! Don't be arrogant. There's more than ten of my brothers here! Even if you were the world martial arts champion, you'd still have to crawl out of here." Xiao Tai said coldly.
"Crawl out? I'm afraid that won't happen." Lu Yanming walked up to Li Zhen step by step and helped her up, letting her lean against him.
Seeing Lu Yanming completely unafraid of him, Xiao Tai asked in a deep voice, "What do you mean?"
"None of you can leave." Lu Yanming's tone was still gentle as he carefully peeled off the layers of tape from Li Zhen's mouth.
When Lu Yanming said this, the dozen or so men all burst out laughing.
"With just you alone?" Xiao Tai couldn't help guffawing loudly.
But the next second their laughter was drowned out by a sudden loud rumbling noise.
Xiao Tai's laughter instantly stopped. "What's that sound?"
There was the huge sound of wind coming in through the window, the force of the wind was fierce, like a tidal wave, blowing the curtains wildly, forcing everyone to retreat back a step.
Everyone except Lu Yanming looked out the window.
The sight made their pupils shrink back, mouths open wide in shock.
Outside the window were several military helicopters, machine guns aimed at the people inside.
The helicopters' propellers spun rapidly, steadily hovering in midair.
One man in black stared blankly, then clumsily took out his phone and snapped a picture, posting it to Moments.
[Random Notes: Saw real military helicopters today, happy!]
He had just posted it for one second when his friends immediately commented below.
