Chapter 15
C15 – One Punch to Kill?
“You’re becoming insufferably arrogant!”
Jiaang Feng was seething with rage upon witnessing Jiaang Lin’s audacious provocation. In his eyes, Jiaang Lin had always been nothing more than a spineless weakling, a mere punching bag for the Jiaang family disciples, never daring to confront any family member publicly.
Yet here was that same ‘weakling,’ challenging Jiaang Feng openly for the second time.
How infuriating.
“Oh, you think I’m arrogant? Well then, I might as well live up to your words. What are you going to do, hit me?”
Jiaang Lin’s smile was unfazed by Jiaang Feng’s livid expression.
Crack!
Crack!
Jiaang Feng’s forehead veins throbbed as he clenched his fists so tightly they cracked, his knuckles turning white.
”Hmph! You’re only this bold because Jiaang Xue is here to back you up. If you’re so brave, have her step aside and not intervene. I bet I can knock you down with just one punch!”
Jiaang Feng’s cold snort was accompanied by a wary glance at Jiaang Xue standing beside Jiaang Lin, recalling the painful defeat he had suffered at Jiaang Lin’s hands the day before—a kick that left him in agony all night. He was convinced that Jiaang Xue had secretly assisted Jiaang Lin, and he was determined to avoid a repeat of that humiliation.
“Since you’re asking so earnestly, I’ll grant your request,” Jiaang Lin responded with a smile.
He turned to Jiaang Xue, speaking softly, “Xue, step aside, please. Don’t get involved.”
Jiaang Xue gave a slight nod and moved aside without hesitation.

Having seen Jiaang Lin effortlessly take down Jiaang Feng the previous day, she harbored no concerns about Jiaang Feng posing any real threat to Jiaang Lin.
“Well then, are you ready to face me on your own and prove yourself in front of everyone?”
“Well? Now you can confidently knock me out with one punch in public, right?” Jiaang Lin said with a playful smile after making Jiaang Xue step aside.
“Heh, you’ve got guts, kid. If I don’t knock you out with a punch right here, right now, I’ll eat sh*t!” Jiaang Feng sneered, a sinister glint in his eyes as he saw Jiaang Lin had indeed persuaded Jiaang Xue to step aside.
The surrounding Jiaang family disciples watched with eager anticipation, cold smiles playing on their lips. They were all curious to see how Jiaang Lin, whom they considered a worthless piece of trash, would be thoroughly thrashed by Jiaang Feng. Without Jiaang Xue’s protection, they believed Jiaang Lin was nothing more than a punching bag.
“Enough with the nonsense. Let’s get this over with; I’ve got a meal waiting for me!” Jiaang Lin said, clearly impatient.
”Eat a meal? More like eat sh*t!” Jiaang Feng bellowed in fury.
His Genuine Qi circulated, and his Battle Soul emerged. A wild aura burst forth from within him. Like a frenzied wolf, Jiaang Feng lunged at Jiaang Lin, his right fist aiming for Jiaang Lin’s chest.
But in the blink of an eye, Jiaang Lin raised his foot and delivered a kick straight to Jiaang Feng’s stomach, sending him flying. Jiaang Feng crashed into a table and chairs, reducing them to rubble.
Groaning in agony, Jiaang Feng clutched his abdomen, his face twisted in pain. His body curled up like a shrimp, twitching in sheer agony as sweat poured down his face.
“Heh! Was that supposed to be the punch that knocks me out?” Jiaang Lin taunted as he strolled over to the writhing Jiaang Feng. Effortlessly, he lifted him up as if he were no heavier than a chick, his lips curled in a mocking sneer.
Jiaang Feng’s face turned a deep shade of red with rage, but he was at a loss for words. Deep down, he was overwhelmed with frustration and fury.
After being relentlessly mocked and ridiculed by Jiaang Lin, Jiaang Feng’s face turned an ashen hue, his anger boiling to the point of eruption. Yet, he found himself unable to muster a retort, his frustration and fury reaching new heights, coupled with an extreme sense of astonishment.
He had been so certain that he could take down Jiaang Lin with a single punch, but to his shock, he was the one sent soaring through the air by Jiaang Lin’s kick, instantly stripped of his combat prowess. He had lost face in front of everyone, and this time, there were no excuses left to salvage his pride.
Just yesterday, Jiaang Feng had been on the receiving end of a beating from Jiaang Lin. He could have claimed that it was Jiaang Xue’s covert interference that led to his defeat. But now, having been bested by Jiaang Lin once more, could he still blame Jiaang Xue’s hidden hand? Especially when she stood at a distance, her presence passive and uninvolved, clearly not partaking in any clandestine actions.
It was only now that Jiaang Feng realized the Jiaang Lin he was facing had evolved far beyond the weakling of the past. For Jiaang Lin to deal with him now seemed effortlessly simple.
Jiaang Feng was utterly baffled. How had Jiaang Lin, once considered a hopeless case unable to cultivate martial arts, become so formidable?
He wasn’t alone in his confusion; many of the Jiaang family disciples spectating were equally dumbfounded. Their faces were painted with sheer amazement. Initially, they too had believed Jiaang Lin would be swiftly defeated by Jiaang Feng’s might. Yet, against all expectations, it was Jiaang Feng who was knocked down by Jiaang Lin!
Had the events not unfolded before their very eyes, they might have suspected they were dreaming.
“How is this possible? That good-for-nothing Jiaang Lin actually took down Jiaang Feng with a single kick!” exclaimed a Jiaang family disciple, snapping out of his shock.
It became clear that Jiaang Lin’s victory over Jiaang Feng the day before wasn’t due to Jiaang Xue’s secret intervention, but rather Jiaang Lin’s own genuine strength.
”Is it true then, the rumors spreading through Clear Water Town today? That Jiaang Lin knocked out Tang Bei with a single punch at the Dao Artifact Hall?”
Out of the blue, a Jiaang family disciple blurted out, his eyes wide with shock.
Many had been discussing how Jiaang Lin had supposedly floored Tang Bei with one punch.
Yet, the majority dismissed these whispers as tall tales. Jiaang Lin, a known non-cultivator labeled as useless, defeating Tang Bei of Body Refining Level Four with just one punch seemed far-fetched.
But witnessing Jiaang Lin effortlessly overpower Jiaang Feng made the skeptics among the Jiaang family disciples waver in their disbelief.
A chilling realization began to dawn on them — perhaps the tale of Jiaang Lin’s triumph over Tang Bei, a Body Refining Level Four cultivator, with a single punch wasn’t a myth after all.
“You, Jiaang Feng, are a disgrace! You’re so pathetic you might as well eat sh*t!”
Jiaang Lin ignored Jiaang Feng’s thoughts and the astonished stares of the surrounding Jiaang family disciples. With a smirk, he flung Jiaang Feng out with a flick of his wrist.
Thud!
The sound of impact reverberated as Jiaang Feng was hurled out of the banquet hall. Coincidentally, a large wolfdog owned by the Jiaang family had just left a steaming pile of excrement at the doorstep.
Jiaang Feng’s face landed squarely in the fresh, foul mess, ironically fulfilling his earlier boast that he’d eat sh*t if he couldn’t defeat Jiaang Lin with one punch.
“Did he actually end up eating dog sh*t?!”
Jiaang Lin couldn’t suppress a chuckle as he watched Jiaang Feng’s misfortune, face-first in the stinking heap. Jiaang Feng’s bad luck was astonishingly pitiful.
At Jiaang Lin’s words, Jiaang Feng was so enraged that he spat out a mouthful of reverse blood and, overcome with fury, fainted right there and then.
Silence fell over the crowd as the Jiaang family disciples looked on, stunned by Jiaang Feng’s humiliating plunge into the rotten dog sh*t.
“That Jiaang Lin, even I can’t handle him. How dare that fool Jiaang Feng challenge him? He’s just asking for trouble!”
In a corner of the banquet hall, Jiaang Lang watched the unfolding scene with an air of tranquility.
Just yesterday, he had sought to provoke Jiaang Lin and ended up being kicked away with ease.
The injuries he sustained were still healing.
How could Jiaang Feng, a mere Body Refining Level One, stand a chance against Jiaang Lin?
Thus, among the Jiaang family disciples gathered, only Jiaang Lang and his brother Jiaang Ren could remain composed. They had come to understand Jiaang Lin’s capabilities and knew he was no longer the weakling he once was.
“Genuine Qi Man, is there really no one who can take down Jiaang Lin?”
Beside him, Jiaang Ren’s expression was dark as he fixed his gaze on Jiaang Lin in the distance, his eyes brimming with icy rage.
He had been bested by Jiaang Lin, who had also taken his savings accumulated over many years.
This grudge weighed heavily on Jiaang Ren, leaving him deeply disgruntled.
Thus, Jiaang Ren longed for someone from his family to give Jiaang Lin a taste of his own medicine.
“Don’t worry, Jiaang Gao will make a move. After seeing his lackey publicly humiliated by Jiaang Lin, Jiaang Gao’s modus operandi guarantees he won’t stand by and do nothing,” Jiaang Lang assured him with calm certainty.
”Right, there’s Jiaang Gao. Jiaang Lin dared to strike his people in public; Jiaang Gao won’t let that slide. Jiaang Lin is definitely in for it now!”
Upon hearing this, Jiaang Ren was overjoyed.
Jiaang Gao was among the top ten in strength within the younger generation of the Jiaang family, with a cultivation at Body Refining Level Seven.
Jiaang Ren was convinced that even though Jiaang Lin had easily defeated his older brother Jiaang Lang the day before, his cultivation couldn’t possibly surpass that of Jiaang Gao. Once Jiaang Gao intervened, Jiaang Lin was sure to face retribution.
