Chapter 35
C35 – The Four Leaders
In just twenty minutes, all the clansmen had assembled.
Jiang Que wasted no time and got straight to the point, “Starting today, we will officially begin expanding our territory!”
“Expanding our territory?” The clansmen of the Flame Mountain Tribe were taken aback.
They had assumed Jiang Que had summoned them to discuss this year’s hunting plan.
The audience watching the live stream was equally perplexed.
“Expanding our territory? Is he planning to conquer other tribes?”
“Jiang Que is going to be disappointed. There are no other Human Race settlements within a thousand kilometers of the Flame Mountain Tribe.”
Someone blurted out, “Oh no! Jiang Que intends to take over other tribes.”
“Why are you overreacting?”
The crowd was puzzled.
“You all don’t get it!” the person exclaimed. “At the start of spring, Jiang Que gathered all the clansmen of the Flame Mountain Tribe to announce plans for territorial expansion. This means he’s shared the enhanced Chaos Spell with the clansmen to boost their strength, pushing them to wage war and take over other tribes!”
“But there are no tribes within a thousand kilometers for the Flame Mountain Tribe to conquer! His ambitions are unattainable.”
“Then what’s the point of amassing so many powerful clansmen?”
“How could he possibly reveal the complete Cloud Stepping Spell?”
“You have a point.”

“If that’s true, our hopes are dashed.”
The live stream audience tensed up.
If Jiang Que’s ambitions were unfulfilled, the Flame Mountain Tribe’s people would have no purpose. Jiang Que likely wouldn’t spend any more time teaching cultivation methods to the clansmen to enhance their abilities.
In the valley, Jiang Que glanced at the bewildered clansmen and declared, “Pann Qiu, Roger, Shito, Tan Ming, from this day forward, you four are the great leaders of the Flame Mountain Tribe.”
“Each of you is to select one hundred and fifty of the tribe’s strongest clansmen as your subordinates.”
“Starting today, you will lead your forces in all directions. We will march from the Flame Mountain Tribe and conquer every ferocious beast and Human Race tribe!”
The clansmen snapped out of their daze, finally grasping Jiang Que’s intentions.
Excitement lit up their faces one by one.
Flame Mountain has long been the domain of ferocious beasts. To evade the sudden emergence of powerful creatures, the Flame Mountain Tribe has been forced to relocate over ten times. Survival was only possible in areas where the beasts were weaker.
Jiang Que’s words sparked a realization within the tribe: they were no longer the same. Their newfound strength meant they could now conquer or even dominate these formidable beasts. Pann Qiu and the other three, the most gifted within the tribe, all at Spirit Release Stage Level 3, were thrilled at the prospect of challenging these once-unassailable adversaries.
“Ensure your own safety,” Jiang Que instructed. “If you encounter a beast beyond your strength, send word to me immediately. Should any of your subordinates be harmed, you’ll face severe punishment, and your leadership will be at risk of being claimed by others.” He laid down the law, prioritizing the safety of the tribe’s limited numbers during their expansion.
“We understand!” Pann Qiu and the others agreed without hesitation.
“Those beasts that choose to submit can join our ranks and aid in our expansion. Those who resist will be shown no mercy,” Jiang Que declared, his eyes flashing with deadly resolve.
”Understood!” The four bristled with a shared eagerness for battle.
“When you encounter other Human Race tribes, do not resort to killing. Use your martial prowess, provisions, and cultivation methods to persuade them to surrender and become part of the Flame Mountain Tribe.” As he spoke, Jiang Que’s lethal aura dissipated. He had no desire to spill the blood of his kin. To rule the Human Race was to command an army capable of conquering the world. He saw these humans as future lieutenants in his ever-growing sphere of influence, not as casualties.
With just over a thousand clansmen, the Flame Mountain Tribe could not afford needless losses. Jiang Que was resolute: he would not take lives without cause.
“We understand!” Pann Qiu and the other clansmen nodded in agreement.
“Ultimately, we must seek out and gather various types of Spirit Ore infused with Spiritual Energy, then transport them back here.”
Jiang Que’s initial plan involved collecting both Spirit Ore and Spirit Material containing Spiritual Energy, in preparation for future creation of the Artifact Refining Technique and Pill Refining Technique.
However, after some contemplation, he chose to abandon the Spirit Material.
Spirit Ore was collectible because it was easier to preserve.
Moreover, he had decided that the next cultivation method he would create would be a sword technique, necessitating the forging of numerous long swords.
Without the Artifact Refining Technique, Jiang Que couldn’t refine powerful Spirit Swords, but he could still forge the Spirit Ore into usable swords.
For the time being, Spirit Material had no use.
Firstly, Jiang Que had no need for Spirit Material until he developed the Pill Refining Technique.
More importantly, Spirit Material was difficult to preserve.
The Flame Mountain Tribe currently lacked the manpower to study the unique properties and cultivation methods of various plants, let alone transplant them or preserve the Spirit Material using special techniques.
Thus, the collection of Spirit Material would have to wait.
“High Priest!”
Jiang Que turned to the High Priest and commanded, “You will oversee logistics and manage all internal affairs, such as the transport of Spirit Ore, provision of supplies, message delivery, troop reinforcement, and distribution of resources within the clan. You have full authority over these matters.”
“Understood!” The High Priest was overjoyed.
The power Jiang Que had entrusted to him was clearly greater than that of the four chiefs.
He immediately prostrated himself on the ground in a gesture of devout loyalty.
“The five of you, start making arrangements now. The sooner we act, the better!”
Jiang Que gestured dismissively.
Pann Qiu and her companions began selecting their teams with renewed zeal.
The High Priest pondered how best to manage the tribe’s affairs.
“I was truly frightened earlier.”
“Thank heavens for protection. Jiang Que’s ambition far exceeds our wildest dreams. He aims to conquer not only the Human Race Tribes but also all the ferocious beasts!”
“Jiang Que truly deserves his reputation as the greatest genius in the history of the Human Race. His talent is beyond what one can fathom, and his ambition is equally boundless.”
“It appears that his ambitions extend beyond merely establishing a more populous Flame Mountain Tribe; he aims to conquer the entire Flame Mountain Range!”
In the live broadcast room, the audience’s anxiety significantly subsided.
Their greatest concern was that if Jiang Que discovered there were no Human Race tribes nearby, he might become deeply disillusioned and lose interest in enhancing the Flame Mountain Tribe’s capabilities.
Thankfully, Jiang Que’s aspirations far surpassed their expectations, even outstripping the ambitions typical of the Human Race during the Wilderness Era.
His objective seemed to be the domination of Flame Mountain and the subjugation of all its ferocious beasts.
The Flame Mountain Range spanned over a million square kilometers, teeming with innumerable ferocious beasts of all ranks.
Given the Flame Mountain Tribe’s current strength, conquering the entire range was clearly out of reach.
Moreover, as the Patriarch, Jiang Que appeared to prioritize the lives and safety of his clansmen.
Therefore, once more than half of his clansmen advanced to Spirit Release Stage Level 1, he would surely impart to them the full Cloud Stepping Spell.
