Chapter 260: The Change of the X Space, Emilia's Punishment
Chapter 260: The Change of the X Space, Emilia's Punishment
With the sudden world notification, a drastic transformation had occurred within the X Space. Peering into the distance from the main continent, one would see the branches of a towering white tree that emanated a dense amount of golden light.
This tree was known to many of ancient old as the World Tree, the source of all power, source of all life within the world of Qeodreona.
When Primals roamed in ancient times, they would pass down an old saying from generation to generation. A phrase forgot and untold to the current world.
Nevertheless, though forgotten, as if all creatures knew instinctively of its words, monsters of the deep sea, humongous birds of the sky, each had pushed themselves to the very limits as they strived to seek out its answers. Each could sense that so long as they can arrive within its boundaries, they would evolve one step further.
Much like these creatures, a few parties were already making their way towards the source of all enlightenment. Even one peculiar party that traveled atop of an odd mechanical ship which soared over the sea.
The waters parted with a splash as this ship moved forward with alarming speeds, hurrying towards the continent in the far-off distance.
Looking on its deck, one would see a fat blond young adult who chatted along with a silent and the sharped blue-haired young man who held a spear in one arm, gazing towards the nearing continent with a tinge of unease.
"Rick, what do you think? Will we be able to match those three monsters this time?" Joe asked, having recalled the monstrous strength of Valoz in his incomplete form.
Rick had a serious look on his face as he shifted his eyes from the horizon onto Joe before answering.
"I don't know, but right now, we don't have a choice now, do we?"
Joe sighed at this, he wanted to cheer himself up, but it seems that Rick didn't know how to lie. With a thoughtful look, he shook his head and slapped the iron plate on his chest with his arc shield as he forced himself into a better mood by speaking out loud.
"Hmph! So what, we still have the reinforcements on the way, not to mention our strength, having achieved the leap due to advancing our stages and unlocking our attributes. I say that we might even be able to give them a run for their money..."

Rick turned back his sights to the sea as he spoke in a soft tone, "Maybe..."
Hearing his words, Joe snorted as he said nothing more; he turned around and walked towards a different side of the deck.
Emilia, who watched them, shook her head as she walked over to Rick's side and spoke, "Hey, why are you acting like this? Didn't we all increase the strength of our equipment, spending all those MTP's. Even if we fight another Valoz, we'd be able to crush him even without Evan's help, and rather easy too."
Rick kept his head straight as he replied in the same way he did with Joe, "Maybe..."
Emilia made a curious expression as she leaned closer to his face; seeing Rick keeping his head straight as if trying to avoid her look, she snickered before teasing slightly.
"Oh, I see now, you're scared too, aren't you? Hehe, you're only pretending to be tough in front of big brother, I'll go spread the news."
Rick's face turned dark at this; sweat ran down his face as he thought, 'Crap, how did she know?'
He hurriedly turned around to stop Emilia from ruining his silent and distant type image, but soon had a shocked look on his face when he saw that his face was directly before Emilia's, only a nose distance apart.
Seeing the beautiful face up close, Rick felt as if he was going to spew blood through his nose as his heart began to beat like congo drums. He wanted to quickly turn away to regain his state of mind, but Emilia had a sly smile on her face as she puckered her lips and locked them on his with fervent passion.
Instantly, a feeling like no other had stricken Rick, who didn't expect to be kissed in such a bold manner. He was dazed for a short while until his manhood kicked in as if urging him to drag the sly spirit to the deeps.
Sadly though, the blessing didn't last long as Emilia hurriedly leaned back, pulling away from her lips from his as she stared at his face and teased, "That's what you get for bullying my brother."
With that said, she hurried off to a separate room with a slight blush on her face, causing Rick to stare at her with fire in his eyes. Like most men, who had suffered this scenario. He had finally experienced a 'blue curse,' the curse of not being able to relieve a sudden surge of passionate emotions.
'God so helps me, Joe, but when I get my chance, this prince will show that sister of yours what it means to provoke my royal dignity!'
Rick yelled in his mind as he sat in a meditative posture while staring at the horizon once more; he aimed to quell his current mood before danger sprung its head from a corner.
Luckily for him, there were no core witnesses outside, as Joe had gone back to his own room to inspect his equipment. None, other than Breya, who pretended to have not seen anything. Her eyes were fixed onto a tablet screen with many different light sources on a map.
"It's even worse than expected, so many monsters, not to mention our core enemies, there are quite a few powerful ones at that, and each is headed towards the World Tree at the same time. It looks like this time; we'll need to push out all the stops. If possible, I hope that Evan can truly achieve the Second Ascenders Stage before we arrive..."
Following Breya's words, her eyes shifted from the tablet onto the ship's main cabin, patiently awaiting any signs of positive change.
