Chapter 20

C20 – A Storm Is Coming!

“Of course I know that no one wants to miss out on a genius like him.”

“But I’m not sure if Mr. Pei will agree to my request. No, I need to go back and get ready to recruit him into the Super Martial Club!”

Qian Wenwei was no fool. As the Head Master of the Super Martial Club, he had a knack for spotting talent, and that was his strong suit.

Pei Yu’s performance had won him over, and Qian Wenwei was determined to bring him on board.

Even if it came at a cost, it would be worthwhile.

After all, Grandmaster warriors were exceedingly rare, and a young, gifted Grandmaster like Pei Yu was even scarcer.

If they could nurture his talent, his future would be limitless. He might even rise to become a Battle God, wielding power over the lives of millions!

At that point, the Super Martial Club would ascend too, finally breaking free from their awkward standing in N City!

If such an extraordinary talent were poached by another martial club, Qian Wenwei would regret it for life!

Meanwhile, in the office of the Head Master at the Super Martial Club.

“It’s incredibly audacious for a young man to commit murder and flee our Super Martial Club!”

A bald man with a steely gaze commanded, “Everyone, search for him! Once I catch him, I’ll hang him at the entrance of the club and flog him publicly!”

This bald man, Ji Tong, was no ordinary figure. Anyone who dared such brazen acts in the Super Martial Club was clearly of significant stature.

He was Master Qiu of the Super Martial Club, presiding over its third branch.

His men shivered; the Third Master was enraged. Pei Yu was in for a world of trouble.

That afternoon, with time on his hands, Pei Yu brought some treats to the hospital to visit his sister, Pei Yuner.

“This is your sister’s final surgery. We’ll do everything we can,” the lead surgeon assured Pei Yu.

Previously, when Pei Yu couldn’t afford the medical bills, this doctor hadn’t once visited Pei Yuner’s bedside. But now that Pei Yu had settled the hefty fees in full, the doctor looked at him with newfound respect.

His treatment of Pei Yuner had noticeably improved.

Though still not overly warm, he made a point to answer each of Pei Yu’s questions.

“Thank you so much.”

Having heard the doctor’s briefing, Pei Yu nodded and prepared to leave, intent on devising ways to earn money and bolster his abilities.

But just then, several new energy vehicles pulled up at the hospital’s entrance, and a group of imposing men stepped out.

The hospital’s security guards attempted to intervene, but the sight of the bald man leading the pack sent them into a panic, dropping their batons and shaking uncontrollably.

“Captain Zhou, it’s clear these guys are here for trouble. Are we just going to stand by and let them walk in?”

A rookie guard appealed to the security captain with a sense of justice.

“Do you even know who that is? Would you dare to confront him?”

“Captain Zhou, who are they? They look somewhat familiar.”

“Are you kidding? We see him on TV every day. Of course, we recognize him—that’s Ji Tong from the Super Martial Club!”

The veteran captain’s voice quivered, raspy with astonishment. The new guard froze, his hands shaking so much that his pack of cigarettes dropped to the floor. His eyes bulged, and his mouth hung open wide enough to fit an entire fist.

“If you dare mess with someone from the Super Martial Club, you’re going to face the consequences!”

Ji Tong strode down the hospital corridor, on a mission for Pei Yu.

Those in his path quickly stepped aside, not daring to block his way. Even the more faint-hearted nurses were so frightened they hid away in the wards, too scared to emerge.
