Chapter 4
C4 – You Have No Right
To assess the fruits of his training, Chu Yangxiang gazed at the large water tank before him. The tank, filled halfway with water, weighed a hundred kilograms.
He was eager to gauge his newfound strength. Having exhausted all fifty Profound Qi Pills, he had spent the equivalent of over twenty years of his family’s earnings, which weighed on him. It was only now that he fully grasped the substantial financial demands of martial arts training.
Having invested so much, he was curious to see the extent of his progress. He strode confidently toward the tank, grasped it firmly, gritted his teeth, and summoned all his might.
Gradually, Chu Yangxiang hoisted the hefty tank.
The door to the thatched hut swung open, and Chu Tianwen, who had just risen, was taken aback by the sight of his slender son lifting the massive container. His eyes went wide as he exclaimed, “Xiangxiang, what on earth are you doing?”
Startled, Chu Yangxiang hastily set the tank down, causing water to splash in all directions, drenching him.
Chu Tianwen couldn’t conceal his astonishment. “Are you completely healed?”
Chu Yangxiang nodded, his heart swelling with excitement.
The Martial God Heavenly Technique, a true Heaven Rank Cultivation Method, proved to have miraculous and unexpected benefits.
He realized that his strength now matched that of a Profound Warrior Two-star.
He had heard that the power difference between a Profound Warrior One-star and a Two-star was about fifty kilograms.

But strength wasn’t the only measure of difference; the gap between stars was significant in many ways.
Chu Yangxiang was puzzled. While other Profound Warriors had Profound Qi coursing through their meridians, he wondered why he lacked it despite his considerable strength.
In a single night, he had absorbed all the Profound Qi Pills, boosting his strength to an impressive 100 kilograms.
This was a positive turn of events for him.
Upon reaching the Training Hall, he observed over a thousand individuals honing their martial skills.
The practitioners, with their bare torsos and muscular physiques, were a testament to their dedication.
The South Bear Fist, a Fist Skill originating from the first Zhenhai Marquis, was renowned for its bold and aggressive style.
Chu Yangxiang stood there, observing an elder practicing his fist technique in the center of the field.
The South Bear Fist comprised twelve moves, and the elder had gone through the sequence several times.
Chu Yangxiang committed each move to memory, confident that he wouldn’t make a single mistake. He was astonished at how formidable his memory had become.
He cross-referenced his recollection with the elder’s movements and found them to be flawless.
Alongside the entire Chu Family, he practiced the South Bear Fist.
After several repetitions, Chu Yangxiang remained composed, not panting or drenched in sweat like the others.
Once their training was complete, they headed to the large dining hall for a meal.
Chu Yangxiang joined the group for a meal in the cafeteria, where they were served Demonic Beast meat, a food well-suited for Profound Warriors. Aware of its nutritional value, Chu Yangxiang understood that even ordinary people would grow stronger if they consumed it regularly.
Meal finished, he made his way back to the Training Hall.
The elder who had conducted the talent assessment the previous day was the Fifth Elder of the Chu Family, now standing proudly in the Training Hall.
All the children who had passed the test, along with some disciples from the Chu Family’s inner court, gathered in the Training Hall. Chu Yangxiang’s gaze fell upon the group; four of the eight who had attacked him the day before were present.
He vividly recalled the tuft of fur from the one who had kicked him fiercely.
Fists clenched, Chu Yangxiang vowed silently, “Tuft of fur, your day of reckoning will come.”
The Fifth Elder addressed the crowd, “Descendants of the Chu Family, today we have among the newcomers some who have not yet reached Profound Warrior Two-star. I will impart to you our Chu Family’s cultivation method: the South Bear Skill. This is a high-level technique within the Low-grade Yellow Rank and a closely guarded secret of our family. None of you may disclose the South Bear Skill to outsiders, for if you do, I will have no choice but to eradicate your entire family.”
He sternly cautioned the students learning the technique, emphasizing that the South Bear Skill was the cornerstone of the Chu Family. He urged them to grasp the gravity of this knowledge and to never transgress its boundaries.
The South Bear Skill consisted of six distinct forms. The Fifth Elder gave a thorough explanation of the South Bear Skill before instructing everyone to practice the technique on the spot.
Following the Fifth Elder’s guidance, Chu Yangxiang began to draw Profound Qi into his body at a measured pace. He absorbed the Profound Qi from the environment through his palms, soles, head, and senses, channeling it into the meridians of his arms. He then stored the Profound Qi within these meridians.
The six forms of the South Bear Skill constituted a cultivation method designed to absorb Profound Qi, circulate it throughout the body, and transform it into Profound Power within the veins. The final form, which involved releasing Qi, had the potential to enhance a warrior’s strength.
Chu Yangxiang found the whole practice session to flow naturally, like water finding its course. The Profound Qi seamlessly entered his meridians and converted into his own Profound Power, stored within. This experience was far from the challenging ordeal others had described.
If the newcomers were to hear his thoughts, they might be infuriated to the point of outrage, as they had spent the entire morning without detecting even the slightest ripple of Profound Power.
In the afternoon, the Fifth Elder tasked the more experienced Profound Warriors from the inner courtyard with mentoring the new arrivals before departing.
Chu Huixiang burst into laughter, “Chu Yangxiang, have you figured out the method yet? If not, allow me to guide your cultivation.”
It was clear to all that Chu Huixiang intended to reprimand Chu Yangxiang. The onlookers, aware of Chu Huixiang’s allegiance to Chu Xiaoxiang, understood the implications. Should Chu Xiaoxiang face punishment, Chu Huixiang would remain a key figure in the Chu Family once Chu Xiaoxiang’s father returned in a month. Chu Huixiang’s actions were driven by a desire to seek revenge for Chu Xiaoxiang by tormenting Chu Yangxiang.
Most of those present were descendants of ordinary Profound Warriors, ranked at the One-star and Two-star levels, and they were adept at assessing the gravity of the situation. With Chu Huixiang backed by considerable influence, no one was inclined to offer assistance to Chu Yangxiang.
“Just admit you’ve figured it out, Chu Yangxiang,” someone suggested with good intentions.
“Conceding is the only way to ensure a favorable outcome,” they added.
“Even if Chu Yangxiang claims he’s had a change of heart, Chu Huixiang is likely to still give him a piece of his mind. Chu Huixiang wants to get even for Chu Xiaoxiang.”
“Exactly. Chu Xiaoxiang may be imprisoned, but his feud with Chu Yangxiang has only intensified.”
Whispers filled the air as the onlookers exchanged thoughts, yet not a single person stepped forward to assist Chu Yangxiang.
Chu Yangxiang gazed at Chu Huixiang and let out a cold laugh, “You’re in no position to lecture me.”
