Chapter 87 - You can take advantage of me
Chapter 87 - You can take advantage of me
Realizing that she would be cornered eventually, Jing Lihua smiled at him and put forward the files before he could make a move. "Here President Li, I think we should sit down and discuss the preposition I brought." Her smile was calm and very professional. She wouldn't lose her cool in front of him.
Li Zhiqiang stopped, inches away from her. His smile never left as he grabbed the files,? carelessly flipped through the pages. He glanced at her. "Follow me."
Jing Lihua followed him to the seat in front of the desk. She pushed the events of the last night out of her mind. Instead, in her mind, he recited the careful words she had planned for the preposition. Even though they were at good terms, the business involved the welfare of the whole company. Jing Lihua understood that he couldn't accept her proposal just because of his personal relationships.
Keeping that in mind, Jing Lihua opened her mouth. "President Li, as we know your company has been--" She was halted midway when she saw him picking up a pen. While still standing, he threw the files on the table and guided the pen to the papers.
"What are you doing?"
"Signing." Li Zhiqiang looked at her as if she was the one who was not acting normally. "Isn't it where I must sign? Or somewhere else." He flipped through some pages. "Oh, there is another place here." He swiftly signed in his beautiful writing.
Jing Lihua: "..."
"Shouldn't you, um, perhaps first read the documents?" That was only proper. "And after then following the normal procedure we should negotiate the terms?" Jing Lihua felt weird. Looking at him signing away at all the places without even blinking. This was surreal. To expect something like that from the great 'Devil' was an impossibility.
"Waste of time." He replied overtly.

Jing Lihua: "..."
What if I'm taking advantage of you in the contract?
Li Zhiqiang flashed her a blinding smile. "You can take advantage of me however you want sweetheart. I'm all yours to be taken advantage of for an eternity."
Jing Lihua. "..."
"Don't make such a face. It makes me want to kiss you."
Jing Lihua: "...."
...
In a lavish car, a woman wearing an eye-catching red dress was sitting. She was middle-aged but the age had been harmless to her. She still looked pretty for her age. There was not a single wrinkle on her fair skin. There was a powerful charm about her that would mesmerize one. Huge eyeglasses covered half of her face. The door of the car was opened by a dressed chauffeur. But the woman didn't step out.
A man rushed hurriedly to the car.
"Madam Bao! Madam Bao!"
"What is it little Wei? Why did you call me in such urgency? Did you know I had three appointments today? I have to attend the golden jubilee, a high-end gala and an anniversary banquet of Mr. and Mrs. Yang's eldest son in the evening." Suddenly, Madam Bao looked sad as if reminded of something. Her eyes looked wistful. "I'm so envious of them. Their son got married last year. They are expecting a grandchild. It's not even them. All my friends have their eldest sons got married. They are already asking me to give them a date for my son's engagement." She sighed. "I'm always lying that he has already someone he is seeing. If I don't tell them that, they'll try all means to set their daughters with my Li Qiang."
"Madam Bao, what I am going to tell you will make you dance in joy and cancel all those appointments in an instant. You will have no longer to lie to those socialites."
"Little Wei, don't create suspense. Just tell me what is it. You don't want to burden this old woman's heart." Though she said that, with her beautiful and young-looking face, the statement sounded quite contradictory.
"It is Xiao Jing, She has returned! The other day Da Li and Xiao Li brought her to my restaurant." He paused considerately giving Madam Bao some time to absorb the shock. "Madam, Da Li was with her all the time. Only if he had slipped away a little, I would have brought her to you for sure."
Madam Bao took off her sunglasses. Her beautiful eyes revealed. She looked totally stunned. "Are you sure it was her?"
"Yes, Madam Li. I can never forget Xiao Jing's mesmerizing green eyes. You know, her eyes are very unique. Besides, there is always a unique charm in her presence. You used to say that yourself. She and Da Li, they look perfect together. Like they are made for each other. No other woman can complement our Da Li like our Xiao Jing. There is no way I would mistake someone else for her. "
Madam Bao leaned back into her chair and fell into silence as if the news had taken all of her energy. Then, the next second, her eyes flashed with a fire of anger and burning fury. Uncle Wei shuddered.
What was happening? Madam was supposed to bloom with happiness. Not turn into a devil!.
"Li Xun! How dare you not tell me! Is your brother more dear to you than your mother?"
It was always poor Li Xun who would be dragged into it. Uncle Wei felt pity in his heart for Xiao Li. But some sacrifices were inevitable for a bigger good. If Li Zhiqiang didn't get his wife, the world would continue to suffer in his tyranny. Thinking that Uncle Wei sighed in resignation.
You died for a good cause Xiao Li.
...
Jing Lihua sighed: "So you signed the papers so quickly just because I could eat breakfast with you?" Jing glanced at Li Zhiqiang who was very expertly putting different things on her plate. Their office kitchen had already cooked everything before Jing Lihua arrived. "You had it all already prepared."
"Silence JingJing. Talking during eating is a bad habit."
Jing Lihua: "..."
"I told you not to make that face. Or do you want me to..."
"I'm not hungry. I had breakfast before coming here." Jing Lihua quickly said before he could say his 'nonsense'. The nonsense that would have a ridiculous effect on her.
"I can't agree." Li Zhiqiang shook his head. "You are too skinny. It already took a troll on you last night. If you don't eat properly and grow a little, how are you going to take me after we got married?"
Jing Lihua almost spit out whatever was there in her mouth.
