Chapter 91 - Shattering the Pride.

Chapter 91 - Shattering the Pride.

The next moment, Jing Lihua's lips curled up into a cold smile. Jing Lihua had remembered it all. She also remembered that bastard Wu Junjie. It must have been him who had tried to abduct her when she arrived in Hong Kong. Jing Lihua had already concluded that. Until now, he would have tried to make a move on her. But he couldn't...

Because she was under President Li protection. He had always been with her during her stay in Hong Kong.

Only now that she was away from Li Zhiqiang, he made a move.

"That bastard is surely hard working. He had diligently waited to find the best chance until now." Jing Lihua laughed and turned slightly.

"Don't move." The man who had the gun behind her ear warned again. He became tense when he saw a smile blooming on the lips of the woman at the gunpoint. She should have been trembling in fear. Or at the very least... should be shocked? Wouldn't it be the normal reaction?

The little lowering of guard by the man gave Jing Lihua enough opening to turn swiftly and with the sharp movement of her wrist hit his pressure point at his torso right on the spot. The man didn't have time to register what was happening before he was knocked down.

"Idiot. I have taken down bigger scoundrels than you." Jing Lihua reflexes were very fast. It was unexpected that a woman with such a docile appearance would possess that sort of talent. Even for a woman who had learned some self-defensive tactics, it was a rarity to survive an ambush from an armed man let alone take him down with such an impressive precision.

"President!"

Jing Lihua heard a scream followed by a couple of shots. At a side, she saw another man being bumped into her car due to the impact of being shot by a bullet fired by Wang Yi. His hand that was holding a gun, loosened making the weapon fall on the ground. Blood surged out from his arm and he collapsed on the ground groaning.

"Wang Yi?" Jing Lihua frowned when she saw him rushing towards the car. A gun was secured in his hands. Wang Yi paused when he saw cold expressions on hs President face, Ehm... Shouldn't she, perhaps, scream after watching a man being shot in front of her?

"You missed the aim. The bullet didn't hit his heart."

Wang Yi. "..."

What was up with this woman? He missed the heart on purpose! He didn't want to traumatize his boss woman by killing a man in front of her, alright! But it seemed it only disappointed her. He should have known. Someone like his Boss would not have chosen a normal woman.

"But it was good enough. Considering the fact that you were running when you fired. So it is only natural that you missed it. In fact, the shot was still commendable considering the distance from where you shot." Jing Lihua praised him to lift his spirits when she saw his unhappy expressions. Poor lad. Must have felt downhearted when she criticized him. How insensible she was? His shot was indeed impressive.

Wang Yi. "..." Why was he feeling like he was the woman here being consoled?

"In fact, you are making me want to train you. With your speed, if you could perfect the technique, you would be invincible!"

Wang Yi. "..."

Trained by her? Trained by a woman his Boss assigned him to protect? She must be kidding him! Wang Yi felt a dissatisfaction building inside him.

Who did she think she was? He was one of the best marksmen in the whole of mainland China! He had served ten years in military! He had earned countless medals and rose in prominence! Many people had begged him to earn his service and if it was not for the fact that he had to pay back a debt of gratitude to president Li, he would have not wasted his time to be this woman's driver!

And this woman so casually said that she would train him? So what if she was President Li woman? It didn't mean she could be delusional like this. "President Jing, I don't think I would require your training." He grumpily said. Even if heavily dissatisfied, he addressed her respectfully.

She was the Boss woman. And only for that reason, he would respect her. Otherwise, she didn't deserve it.

"Are you sure you don't want to? Your speed really amazed me."

Wang Yi's shoulders popped out. Of course, it did. He was the best.

"But if you could adjust your stance a little bit, it would be even better."

Wang Yi didn't need to hear that from her. "President Jing, I'm confident in my stance." His tune was prideful. "Now I think we should leave this place. We are not safe here. Earlier I caught the sight of a pair of men. I saw them headed for the apartments where you went. So I gave the chase. But I lost them. Then I realized to distract me away must have been their purpose so I rushed back. I suspect there are more men hiding here. Its an ambush. We must get somewhere safe as soon as possible."

"You must have already notified President Li?" Jing Lihua had a calm smile.

For a moment Wang Yi was bewitched at how calm she was. It was alright for a trained man like him. But for a person in target... not to mention a woman... "I couldn't. someone has jammed the signals. This strengthens my suspicion. They came fully prepared. I insist we must leave."

"Don't be such cowardly. We'll leave once I do a certain job."

Did he call him cowardly? Cowardly? She wouldn't be able to fight?—

"Lie down!" Jing Lihua's voice rang after which a myriad of shots could be heard. Swiftly, Jing Lihua picked up two guns from the knocked out man and the man who was shot.

Wang Yi reflexes were fast so he was able to get behind the shield of the car in time. "Stay behind the car I'll—" He was stunned once again when he saw her getting up fearlessly. Damn it! What was that woman doing? Was she crazy? If she was shot, his life would be over! That President Li would personally torture him to death!

But what Jing Lihua did next tunned him to a stupor and shattered his pride into pieces. He couldn't have expected it from a woman he had looked down upon a moment ago.
