“It is true. It is really true…”

“An 80% bloodline purity holder. It is almost unbelievable…” they all murmured in shock as they stared at Zeras, who passed the candle back to Audrey.

“Hmm, it seems you’re right. That said, let us go over the deal that you said was made. It was supposed to be a negotiation and mutual deal, right?” Audrey said as Zeras gave a nod.

“That’s true…”

“Then if you understand well, your part of the deal was to allow us to give you one of our victims, something that we have done. And in return, you would help us win the prodigies event under our name,” Audrey said as Zeras gave a nod.

“So you’re essentially here to fulfill your oath of the negotiation…”

“That’s true,” Zeras said as Audrey smiled brilliantly.

“Then this meeting is over. I’m sure Novelia would know how to release the news to the public, wouldn’t she?” Audrey said, directing her attention to the last of the three people sitting on top of the dais.

She was a girans who also only had two eyes opened, but unlike the first lady, she was younger. Her green hair reached only up to her shoulders and behind her back, and she simply sat down silently watching the proceedings without making any sign of interfering at all.

“I understand, Audrey…” She replied for the first time, her melodious voice like a piece of music being played.

And suddenly a strange scene occurred as Zeras watched Fluffy jump down from his shoulder and surged its tiny but up the dais. It struggled a little on those steps, directing the attention of everyone present in the room who all looked at the cat, wondering just what it was doing.

And after much struggle, Fluffy managed to climb up the steps, sitting down on the god like a tired dog as it breathed in and out to catch its breath. After 10 seconds, it finally stood up before moving towards the two ladies who were seated on the throne, and then she looked at both of them with a cursory glance before suddenly jumping on the laps of Novelia.

*GASP*

There were gasps of shock from the elders present in the hall, as Zeras swallowed hard a little. It seemed he was about to get into another trouble due to Fluffy, but strangely, all Fluffy did was rile its back on her laps before immediately falling asleep, his four colors lighting up and down as if he was breathing.

“Hmmmmm, wait. Isn’t that a void cat!?” Audrey asked with a raised eyebrow, finally understanding the reason behind the cat’s strange four-colored fur.

“Yes, my lord. I forgot to mention, on our way back, a void cat chose to fuse with him…” D’arvey said, forgetting to mention the encounter between Fluffy and Zeras.

“Hmmm, that is very rare. And a four-colored striped void cat nonetheless, really less. No wonder it clung to Novelia so tightly…” Audrey said as Zeras raised an eyebrow.

“Any creature with a special bloodline stays close to Novelia; they would experience quick growth in all aspects. That is why your cat is clinging to her. It must have just been able to know instinctively that clinging to her would benefit it and it simply went for it…” Audrey said as Zeras’s eyebrows furrowed.

“Can I trust her with him?” Zeras asked, his eyes focused this time, all sorts of playfulness disappearing instantly. A change that greatly surprised Audrey.

“Hmm, I think it’s just a pet?” Audrey asked as Zeras turned to look at her.

“Fluffy is not a pet. It’s a companion…” Zeras answered, drawing a raised eyebrow from Audrey, but his eyebrows soon relaxed.

“You have nothing to worry about. Not a single bit of his fur would be hurt. You can rest assured…” Audrey said, calming Zeras as she took his shoulder and brought him deeper into the hall.

“Come, you have much to learn about us and also about the prodigies event…” Audrey said, their footsteps echoing through the hall as they disappeared from the scene.

“Huuuu….” D’arevy heaved a sigh of relief seeing that one of the higher-ups found no problem with Zeras. If they had hated him, then he would have been in very big trouble. He had tweaked the order and left the supposed target, acting on his own orders when ignoring the higher-ups’ orders. He might have found himself demoted if that occurred… Fortunately, everything went just as he planned.

“Summon the entire Giarns settlement to the Ancestral grounds; I wish to have a word with them…” Natoria, the long-haired female, ordered, causing the twelve elders to give a nod. Immediately, they all bowed once more before exiting the place.

Less than 30 seconds later, the hall was once again placed in silence, save for the sound of the purring cat present on Novelia’s lap, whose hand enveloped in a green color gently rubbed the cat’s chin, a small smile on her face as her green eyes flared with an even brighter light.

“What do you think about him, Novelia?” Natoria asked Novelia, finally directing their attention towards her.

“We both are disappointed that he is a male. What we were expecting was a female, while Audrey thinks a female is softhearted and unreliable. He is the most happy right now because the young man finally ended up being a male that he wanted so badly…” Novelia explained, chuckling as Natoria rolled her eyes at her.

“You sure are very good at weaving through questions. I don’t need to remind me of it, you dummy. I asked what you think about him…” Natoria asked as Novelia chuckled before her eyes suddenly regained focus, a sign that Natoria knew through the years to mean her finally getting serious.

“I think… his cat is cute…” Novelia said as Natoria’s eyes twitched repeatedly as she watched Novelia playing around with Fluffy.

“Tch, you both can’t be helped,” she said as she disappeared from where she stood, causing Natoria to also rise up from her seat and move out of the hall with Fluffy in her bosom.
