Chapter 190: Palkus’ Journey! 7
It was the dawn of the next day. After Palkus managed to successfully pass the test of the dwarves, he went back to the main guild building to get his guild card with his EX-rank alchemist and blacksmith badges.
His name became renowned throughout the city, and wherever he went, someone recognized his face.
Thankfully, everybody here minded their business and caused no problems for him in fear that he would smack the shit out of them in a fit of anger.
Powerhouses were no joke, and definitely not a young man capable of making an EX-rank surrender, the famous elven alchemists shocked, and the arrogant dwarves humbled.
When Palkus reached the guild, he went to look at the mission board. He was having that meeting with the 'Thunder Strike' party in 2 days, so he needed some cash to buy ingredients and materials to make his own potions and weapons that he was going to use.
Palkus had nothing with him aside from a small fortune left by his parents for him to reach the dwarfelven continent and have enough to rent a room in an inn for a month. Draco wanted him to achieve as many feats as he could with the lowest start possible, so he was given nothing physical; thus, Palkus had to fend for himself.
Now, he could buy an armor, a weapon, and some potions from the alchemy and blacksmith guilds' stores, but why would he settle for worse when he could make the best weapon this continent has seen with his own hands?
The sword he had made for the test was given to the guild, and he got nothing for it yet, so it didn't count.
Approaching the board, Palkus made a quick scan to see if there was anything worthy of note but after a few minutes, he raised an eyebrow.
"Excuse me." Not finding what he wanted, he walked all the way to the receptionist counter to have his questions answered.
"Um, welcome. How would you like me to help you?" the receptionist who was on the other end raised her head to gaze at Palkus before she greeted him. She was human, as far as Palkus could see and once again, the guild did a good job in making beautiful females work in their counters.

"I just wanted to ask why there's no mission above S-rank for blacksmiths and alchemists, I want to take one that's actually to my level but there doesn't seem to be one." He said.
"Ah, that's because we don't put them there." She smiled while explaining. She got up from her place, walked out of the counter, and pointed for Palkus to follow her.
"Come with me; I will lead you to where you can find those." she said.
Palkus followed her as his little eyes were dazed by something he had never seen before.
'Get yourself together, Palkus; that's inappropriate.' He smacked his face silently as he thought.
'But damn...' his eyes unconsciously returned to gaze in front of it. The brown haired receptionist's short figure hypnotized the young man.
"Ehhem, it's up there; follow me." The receptionist, who could feel Palkus' stares, stopped before she coughed and walked up the stairs, once again taking the lead.
The young man felt embarrassed but her actions made his inexperienced mind second guess his thoughts. Did she notice his gaze or not? Well... he would think about that later.
Seriously speaking, though: DAMN!
"We're here." Plakus didn't know when or how until he found himself on the second floor, in front of a large room with double doors.
*Knock* *Knock*
"Guild master, you have a guest." The receptionist announced.
"Enter." A familiar voice replied from inside as the young woman opened the doors for Palkus to meet the gaze of the very instructor who had trained him.
"Instructor? You were the guild master all along?" Palkus opened his eyes wide, as he didn't expect this twist.
"Me? Haha, no, that witch just threw her work at me and fled to laze around somewhere." The trainer pointed at himself and laughed.
"Ah..." Palkus scratched his head while the receptionist who was next to him chuckled, standing next to the opened doors.
"So? What are you here for? I heard you did something crazy after getting out of the arena, and here I thought I saw all you had." The trainer smiled as he gestured with his hands for the young lad to enter.
Palkus walked inside the room and gazed all around. To his sides, there were two bookshelves and behind the trainer, there were two more in the corners. A bright window right behind the desk of the instructor acted as the source of light for the room.
Palkus sat on one of the chairs beside the desk and turned to look at the trainer, who was checking some papers. His barbaric side was nowhere to be seen at this moment, as all Palkus could notice was the serious and wise air around him.
"So, what are you here for?" The instructor asked, his gaze still on the stack of papers on his desk.
"Let me guess, you're looking for an EX-rank mission, huh? I got just the one for you." Before Palkus could say anything, the instructor took out a paper and threw it to the young goman's side.
"Looking for an alchemist to make a poison law antidote? I can do that." Palkus read through the description of the mission that was handed to him and said.
"So the rumors didn't lie, you can really use law, huh?" The trainer raised his head to look at Palkus, his gaze seriously analysing the young man.
'So I could have died had I not stopped that attack then.' he thought in his mind.
"Well, that's a request straight from the World Tree, so I'm sure you will like the pay." The instructor suddenly smiled and stated.
"The world tree?" Palkus opened his eyes wide.
