Chapter 196: Palkus’ Journey! 13
"So... you trynna join us or what?" After Azeroth gave Laff his body back, silence drowned the atmosphere. Adena, who couldn't take it anymore, seized the dungeon boss up and down and asked.
"Hmm? I wouldn't mind doing so. Now that I actually came out, I want to explore this world a bit before I return to heaven." Azeroth thought a bit and replied.
The group didn't know what heaven Azeroth was talking about but instead of asking, they just looked at each other. Laff, who was slightly terrified of the boss who took control over his body and traumatized him for life, was staring daggers at Azeroth.
"Don't worry, he won't harm us. It will also be a nice addition." Palkus suggested.
"Well, I don't mind." Allan, who had been sharing glances with Lorea, looked at Azeroth and agreed.
"I was scared for a second there." After the tension calmed down, Tuskina, who had been nervous ever since Laff started acting strange, sighed in relief.
"Yea... let's move already." The grumpy loli dwarf tapped her hammer on the ground and said.
"Ah, haha, I forgot about that. Let's go." Allan, hearing Adena's words, finally remembered that they were on a mission and took the lead once again.
Lorea and the little dwarf got closer to the party leader and the trio started murmuring amongst themselves.
Palkus was approached by Azeroth and then Laff, who wanted answers, came closer to them.
The Tusk siblings looked at each other and then silently walked behind the group.
"It's confirmed, y'all. Palkus has something to do with the celestial of chaos; if I heard right, then he's probably his first blessed one. Damn me if I expected that." Lorea was the first to talk.
"Right~ Why does that matter to us? If he didn't say anything, then he has his reasons; we should just mind our business." Adena rolled her eyes.

"Adena is right. We shouldn't bother so much; at least, until he actually says it." Allan agreed.
"Are you guys serious? You do realize that we've got the world's strongest, smartest, most talented genius's disciple in our party and this is your reaction? My belly is itching to just kidnap him and do... unspeakable things." Lorea's side glanced at Palkus while pursuing her lips.
"I know you were down bad, but you're seriously fucking sick." Adena looked at Lorea in disgust.
"Don't blame me; you're the strange one here, not thinking of making such a fine man the father of your children." Lorea, not caring about Adena's words, just looked behind her.
"Haah... sometimes I wonder if I did a good job choosing teammates. I'm really in need of a cute girl to ease my worries." Allan smacked his head. He was seriously tired.
"One day, leader. One day." Adena patted his back nonchalantly while looking forward.
Behind the trio, Palkus, Azeroth, and Laff were having their own little conversation.
"How are you going to rank up when you missed your chance?" Palkus asked Azeroth. The goman's analysis spell allowed him to learn close to everything there was about Azeroth, except his memories, so one single look was enough for him to know what the demon needed most.
"That is my biggest problem, young man." Azeroth himself didn't know what he had to do to bypass this restriction. It was far too late for him at the moment, as the conditions were bound to one's very existence; changing bodies, modifying the soul, or even becoming an entirely different person didn't help one bit. A failure remains a failure in Portalia.
"Excuse me... sir." Laff joined the conversation once he got the chance, addressing Azeroth.
"Oh, what is it you want, Laff?" Azeroth, who was much familiar with the man whose body he has been residing in for years, was intrigued.
"I have but one question... What happened to my comrades?" Laff asked.
"I would be lying if I said I knew; the second I entered your body, I entered deep slumber. But, they shouldn't be dead even with the army attacking, I made sure to instruct them not to kill anyone." Azeroth replied with a smile.
"... Alright." And Laff took his distance.
It didn't take long for the group to reach the area where the night watcher was supposedly stopped. Allan stopped the group, and Lorea was the only one to move forward.
"Hmm? I feel a creature from hell over here." Azeroth opened his eyes wide. Who would expect he would meet one of his greatest enemies over here.
"Hmm? you can sense it?" Allan heard Azeroth's words and turned to look.
Lorea's job was to scout forward and gain more information they could use at night to pinpoint the location of the nightwatcher more accurately.
"Sure, I do. How can I not be able to locate those of my... own race?" Azeroth's face displayed a mix of sadness and regret.
He was a fallen angel, a being that went from being of the holiest race who could live in heaven to an entity that was on the same level as the biggest of sinners.
"How accurate?" Adena looked at Azeroth and asked.
"As accurate as possible." Azeroth let go of his feelings and focused back.
"Yeah, it's hiding within a cave... One big of a cave." Palkus, who used his spell to locate the nightwatcher, said, surprising the group.
The nightwatchers were creatures of the night, so aside from that duration of time, they hid beneath the ground or in large caves.
"That's amazing, Palkus! I didn't know you also had amazing scouting skills." Tuskina, who was behind the group with her brother, was surprised.
"It's nothing." Palkus just smiled while looking at her.
"It seems like we'll finish this mission much faster than previously expected." Allan went into deep thought as he said.
"Hey, witch, come back." Adena called.
"Why did you call me back?" Lorea asked when she returned.
"We already have all the information we need regarding the nightwatcher's location."
