He’s usually calm, cool and collected at school apart from being the boy genius. His teachers would sometimes sneakingly pinch his cheeks from out of nowhere but he always kept his cool and humbly accepted their praises just like what his mommy told him.

And when he is with his mother, Lu Qiang would always act adorable and childish in front of her. Lu Qiang learned that his mother loves it when he acts spoiled with her during the first time she brought him back to her home when his father came to drag him back.

He would always be excited to tell her about his achievements, how many stars he received for his homework and quizzes, when he perfected the violin piece had been practicing for a week, and all his other activities.

He wasn’t quite used to being like that at first. Considering that he grew up quite strictly under his father’s education. He didn’t talk much to the butler or the other helpers. His father isn’t a chatty person either so his communication skills were truly terrible back then.

Every change in him was because of his mother’s dedication. So his adorable and spoiled side will always be shown in front of her mother, regardless of other people. He loves his mother the most in the world!

To his father?

Thinking about his father, Lu Qiang made a cold face. His relationship with him originally was quite indifferent. He doesn’t hate nor dislike him, but they weren’t that close befor either. He does respect and look up to Lu Chen because he is indeed a very capable ceo and president but as a father, Lu Qiang doesn’t feel that special at all. Maybe it’s because the both of them are very aware of their true relationship-- uncle and nephew.

The instant his mother entered the picture, the father and son’s relationship changed for the better.... or did it really?

His father’s change was quite big, and Lu Qiang almost thought that the person he met before was like a stranger unlike the soft father who would always stick to his mother all the time.

And because of that, they would always compete for Xiu Mei’s attention every chance they get. The two started communicating more often than usual, and now they can even blatantly argue and throw childish tricks with each other. It was a big leap from their indifference before.

Besides, Lu Chen wasn’t the only getting entertained in teasing Lu Qiang. The feeling goes both ways. Lu Qiang is also enjoying seeing his father unhappy after stealing away mommy from him. Their relationship evolved into something they both couldn’t comprehend but it was fine.

So the moment Lu Qiang learned that his mother was pregnant after eavesdropping in their conversation, his mind worked at a lightning speed and arrived at one conclusion.

His father is surely behind the reason why he doesn’t know about his mother’s pregnancy yet.

Lu Qiang firmly believed in his mother’s innocence. She loves him so much, she would definitely keep such a big news from her. But mother also listens to father sometimes, so he was sure that his father said not tell it to him!!!

The little Lu was angry.

Just a mere hacking of his laptop or stealing away his mom’s attention wouldn’t be enough to vent his frustration.

Hence the almost empty rice bowl for his father’s lunch.

The two childish people exchanged threats and fought with their mouths leaving no blood. Lu Qiang never backed down even when faced his father’s threat of increasing his training time and applying to be his etiquette teacher.

He scoffed. He’s definitely not going to let this slide ah!!!

HIS! MOM! IS! PREGNANT!

How dare he keep this from him?!

It was an unforgivable sin.

So from that day onwards, stormed visited early in their new home.

Xiu Mei helplessly watched the father and son bicker the whole day with cold faces. After that incident in their food table, their bickering never ceased.

Lu Qiang would stick to her like a chick following the mother chicken. When they sat on the sofa, their little son squeezed himself in between the couple making Lu Chen annoyed.

He grabbed him by his collar planning to throw him to somewhere but the little guy was swift and hugged his mother’s waist. Of course, he didn’t hug her tight so that he won’t hurt his sibling in his mother’s tummy.

Lu Chen immediately caught on the sneaky little guy’s tactic. Afraid that he’ll pull too much and hurt his wife, Lu Chen could only helplessly let go of this kid’s collar and glare fiercely at him.

Lu Qiang flashed a triumphant smile before kissing his mother on her cheek.

Xiu Mei sighed at their childish antics but didn’t stop them. She assumed that they will soon return to their senses later on.

An hour later, Lu Chen found the opportunity to drag Lu Qiang to a sparring area, a few walks away from their villa. The temperature outside wasn’t suitable for her for staying out so she didn’t stay too long in the training area and returned. Besides, Lu Chen and Lu Qiang’s sparring wasn’t that bad at all. It’s not as intense than what she saw back in her uncle’s place years ago.

Unbeknownst to Xiu Mei, the moment she left the sparring area, Lu Chen’s movements started to get more intense. Lu Qiang didn’t delay and quickly adapted to it perfectly. Albeit, it was indeed a very exhausting spar unlike the trainings he had with Si Tu Yi every weekend. Lu Qiang could clearly sense that father was using this sparring as an excuse to beat him up ah. Of course, he won’t let him.

And so, their training went on for the next three hours.

Imagine Xiu Mei’s shock when she saw their father ant son’s appearance when they got home.

"Oh my god, Chenchen are you crazy?!"

Xiu Mei couldn’t believe her eyes for a moment as soon as she saw the two people standing by the entrance. She accidentally dropped the book she was reading and quickly rushed off the sofa. She approached Lu Qiang’s unkempt appearance, his sparring attire had gotten dirty most likely with how many times Lu Chen threw him over. Ignoring his messy hair, she could see a bruise on the corner of his lips and a cut on the side of his cheek.

Xiu Mei was instantly angered.

Ignoring the poor appearance of his husband, she raised her head and glared fiercely at him.

"LU! CHEN!" She mouthed angrily. With her hands on her waist and straightened back, she faced him with an angry expression, "Are you begging to be sued for child abuse?!"

She stepped in between the two, separating Lu Chen and Lu Qiang from each other. The little kid, the good actor that he is, clung on her mother’s hem and hid behind her to complete his acting.

Lu Chen frowned but before he could point it out, Xiu Mei cut him off first.

"LU CHEN!" She repeated. Her hand stretched out to twist his ear, dragged him towards the living room and continued scolding him.

"Why did you beat up your own son ah?! Are you crazy? Dammit, are you really an a.d.u.l.t?! How could you bully a kid, much less your own son? Do you want me to report out to the authorithies for child abuse?!" Endless scolding came out of Xiu Mei’s mouth.

Meanwhile, Lu Chen could only bow his head and let himself be scolded by his wife. He didn’t refute her words and kept nodding.

At the side, Lu Qiang was inwardly laughing at his Dad. Aiyo, it was worth getting beaten up by his Dad. Look, he doesn’t even dare to lift his head and glare at him right now ah. Mommy is the best!

In the end, Xiu Mei made him kneel on the washboard for a night without mercy. She even banned him from stepping into the master’s bedroom for a week.

Xiu Mei walked over to her son and helped him in putting medicine on his wound.

Poor Lu Chen who was being punished by his wife at the moment could only discreetly throw a sharp glare at the smug little brat on the sofa hogging his wife for the rest of the night before they went to bed.
