Chapter 38 - The Guild-2, Guidance...and A Shocking Fact.
After testing with the red crystal, Donnie picked up the black crystal and infused it inside the big white crystal.
Aren knew what to do as he put his hand on the white crystal, and he felt a cold sensation this time.
His mind also blanked out for a half-second as he was surprised.
"Don't worry. That's just a brief shock to your soul and mind as the crystal tested your divine path and power level," Donnie said with a grin before he looked at the now black crystal, which revealed white words.

"Nobody will know about your Divine Path's details unless you tell them. This crystal just reveals the type of Divine path and its grade," Donnie said as he pointed at the black stone.
"Now for the grades. There are just four grades of mystic paths, and they are just initial assessments. After all, as you walk on your path, it will bend according to your hard work and effort. So nobody can tell if a path is strong or weak based on its grade. After all, who knows how powerful one becomes in the future? The potential of your path is in your hands."
After saying that, Donnie smiled mysteriously and said, "In the future, you will reach a point where you will reach a dead-end in your path and will have to carve the future road of that path with your effort, thinking, and hard work."
He then pointed at the grade and said, " The paths are divided into four grades according to this crystal, and there is no such thing as weak to strong in the grading of Divine paths. "
After saying that, Donnie pointed his finger and started writing in thin air as the actual golden words floated in the air.
He wrote the four grades before saying, " As I have written, four grades are Mystic, Optimum, Extreme, and Discursive. "
"First, Discursive-grade. Each divine path of this grade has many growth possibilities and is not set on a single type. So those who possess Discursive-grade Paths are strong initially because of varieties, but if they can't carve their path in the future due to many possibilities, then it would slow down their progress by a large margin."
"Second, Extreme-grade. Each divine path of this grade focuses on one aspect of power and is very powerful. It is said that If the people on such paths can stay mentally strong and develop their future path comprehensively while surviving the odds, they can open a new door that would let them reach a brand new height."
"Third, Optimum-grade. People who have this grade of Divine paths have the easiest time and can also quickly become stronger because the divine paths of this grade are very well constructed and perfected. Even when people walking on these divine paths reach the dead-end, they can usually carve out their path more easily than people who walk on paths of other three grades."
Donnie grinned and said, "People whose Divine path are of Optimum-grade are more favored everywhere, but that doesn't mean that paths of this grade are more powerful. In the end, everything depends on individual capabilities and how they can use and further carve their paths with their hard work and intelligence."
He then pointed at the last path and said with a faint smile, "I decided to reveal mystic-grade last since it's the grade of your divine path."
Aren wryly smiled and said, "From the name, I feel like it should be similar to Discursive-grade."
Donnie nodded and then shook his head, "You are correct but wrong at the same time. Mystic grade divine paths are, as their name suggests, mystical. The divine paths of this grade are rarest, and they are actually the toughest paths to walk on. Naturally, even tougher than Discursive paths. All I can say is good luck to you and hope you can go far in whatever Divine path you have."
Aren nodded with a smile, "Well, I am not backing down, and since you said that, I am even more fired up about it, hehe."
Donnie also nodded as he said with a grin, "All in all, the grades are not meant to check if your path is strong or not since all paths are strong as long as you know what to do. In the end, everything depends on the person and his will."
"Enough talking. Now it's my turn," Luna said as she walked over to the white crystal.
Donnie wryly smiled as he took out a red crystal from the box and infused it inside the big white crystal.
Luna put her hand on it, and after a few seconds, the result appeared.
-Lifeform stage: [Grade-2 Mortal]
-Spirit core: Mortal Spirit core, Rating: [4.5/10]
-Meridians: Medium-grade.
-Affinity: Death, Darkness.
"Ohh...Death and Darkness affinities? Quite rare," Donnie commented with a surprised expression.
"As for your spirit core rating, It's 4.5, which means you must have barely unlocked a few of your meridians. Actually, I was surprised to see this little brother having a 7.5 rating in spirit core because he shouldn't have unlocked all of his meridians this early according to his power level." Donnie said as he raised his eyebrows before looking at Aren.
Aren said with a faint smile, "It's due to my path."
" I see...," Donnie nodded before he took out a scroll from his inventory and said with a grin, "This scroll is known as Meridians unlocking scroll. It cost five hundred silver coins or five gold coins, and if you practice daily according to the scroll, you can unlock all of your meridians in one month."
Luna's eyes shined as she readily bought the scroll by paying five gold coins. As it should be, Luna and Aren divided gold coins they got in reward evenly.
"1 month, huh? Well, more than I expected," Aren muttered.
Donnie waved his hand and nonchalantly said, "Anyway, your body structure will change once you elevate to a higher Lifeform stage. For instance, once your lifeform stage reaches Supreme, your body will transform and there will be major changes to meridians as well as some new features."
He then took out the black crystal and said, "Those things are a bit far from your current level so let's focus on the present right now."
Afterward, Luna tested her Divine path's grade and power level.

"Optimum!...," Donnie was surprised before he looked at Luna and Aren and said with a smile, "Unless you are planning to make your own company, this little sister will receive many invitations from other companies once she reaches Supreme stage Lifeform."
"Company?" Luna and Aren's attention went to the new term they heard.
Donnie realized that they were new and explained, "A company is a sort of organization, party, or whatever you want to call it. But its official term is company. If you want to establish your company and get access to various benefits, channels, and other information, you will have to register it at the Guild in any town."
Donnie remembered something and said, "Before you ask, let me tell you that the Guild is one massive entity...like an organization that manages many things. The Guild, short and simple."
Pausing, Donnie sighed and said, "Some people from otherworld I met several years ago were confused and asked me which Guild is this and what is this Guild's name, but there's no such thing. Guild is Guild, that's all. In every single town of this duchy's level or higher, there is a Guild branch."
Shaking his head, Donnie continued, "What those people from otherworld were saying felt similar to companies, so...If you want to be with your friends and party together by accepting some quests to go on an adventure, then form and register your company to the Guild or join one."
Aren and Luna looked at each other with shock and thought the same thing, 'So there were indeed people from another world here before, and we are not the first ones.'
After learning of such fact, many questions popped up in their minds, but one question was the most important, and both Aren and Luna wanted to know the answer to that question.
Aren looked at Donnie as his face turned slightly solemn and asked that question.
