Chapter 258 – Evolution and Bark for me!
Chapter 258 – Evolution and Bark for me!
A storm brewed Around Umbra as her body rapidly changed. Yet no clouds formed above her, unlike what Aiko experienced.
The Blood Barrier covered both of them as Umbra Evolved.
Aiko was left slightly speechless as she didn't expect this.
They waited out the Evolution as more curious Cultivators got closer.
There was a new Fox in the town which smelled incredibly nice. They wanted to convince that Fox to join their teams.
'If you are smart, Master, you will befriend her.' Ai Long said gently with reverence in his eyes.
'Why can't I just contract her?' The Young Master frowned.
'That is also not a bad idea.' Ai Long nodded. 'The faster your father kills you, the better for me.'
'Why would Father kill me for contracting a simple Fox?' The Young Master didn't understand.
'Ask your father about Immortal Dew and you will know.' Ai Long stopped talking, but still stared towards the Foxes. One finished their evolution, whilst another started theirs.
He did not know how that happened, as that Fox was on her deathbed mere moments ago and the only thing he was able to notice was that burst of extremely potent vitality inside the Blood Barrier.
'Things will get... interesting...' Ai Long narrowed his eyes. 'Especially now that the Heavenly Dao is temporarily not working.' He laughed in his mind. He would be able to Evolve safely without fearing the threat of a Heavenly Disaster striking him, but he didn't have the Energy to do so...
'Let's hope my kin uses this opportunity well.' Ai Long could smell that the new Fox was bathed by the Heavenly Disaster, and that thick smell made him want to puke.
It was not because it was a disgusting smell, but the sheer power behind that smell made his skin crawl with fear.
'Dragons definitely won't mess with her.' He narrowed his eyes.
...
The other Cultivators approached until the Young Master stopped them. He knew that Ai Long was somewhat stupid, but he cherished his freedom above all else, which meant that his words held some truth.
"Why can't we approach?" The Strategist asked.
"You will get in the way once she finishes." Ai Long spoke lightly, but he was able to hear the conversation between the Foxes. 'It's soon time for me to step in...' He narrowed his large eyes slightly.
...
Their surroundings darkened suddenly. An unnatural change with Umbra at the heart of it.
Her body swirled with darkness, but this Evolution was rather quick.
Soon the black shadow dispersed, revealing the new Umbra.

Her body could not be seen as it was being coiled by the darkness. Instead of a face, there was a strange sinister mask. Her bushy tail was also nowhere to be seen, being replaced by what looked like a sinister snake.
Aiko's mind spun as she stared at Umbra, for some reason she quite liked that cute tail. She would definitely get this Evolution for herself!
Umbra was shocked and confused by this transformation. She looked at her hands that were supposed to be Human, both of them were shrouded in the darkest darkness she had ever seen, shaping itself into large sharp claws for her fingers.
She looked incredibly sinister, except for Aiko's eyes which found her as cute as other found her sinister.
"Wohooo!" Aiko cheered Umbra, startling her slightly.
Umbra took a few steps, appearing in front of Aiko, which shocked Aiko. 'Even faster than me?!' Aiko smiled from ear to ear and for some unknown reason, Umbra looked away.
"Mistress." Umbra's voice was incredibly soft.
Aiko nodded gently.
[Would you like to name your Soul Servant?]
Aiko was startled. 'What is that?'
[Soul Servant is a being that is subservient to you.]
'No, I mean-' Before Aiko could ask properly, the system continued.
[Soul Servant: A being that will never separate from you once they die. Their cycle of life and death is decided by you. Their subservience is unquestionable.]
Aiko had a slightly better understanding of this, not that much better, but good enough to know what she wanted.
'Was it because I used the Bloodline thingy on her?' When the explosion happened, Aiko accidentally tapped the [Bloodline Gift(Servant)]. It was by a complete accident, but it seemed that this accident paid off greatly!
'Maybe I should try the [Cultivation Gift(Servant)] too?' Aiko narrowed her eyes, but chose not to do so, just in case something was wrong with the [Bloodline Gift(Servant)]. She can test it out later now that she knows that Umbra will never leave her.
'But a name, huh?' Aiko sighed. She was not good with names...
'Maybe...' Aiko tilted her head.
"Your name..." Aiko spoke gently, her tender and sweet voice caressing everyone.
Umbra especially shook, since only some Foxes were given true names.
'How about Yuxi.' Aiko thought that it was a good fit, since the new Umbra was like the night tide. She would be able to crush anyone during the night like an unstoppable tide.
'I live to serve my Mistress.' Umbra, now Yuxi, kneeled in front of Aiko and waited.
"What are you waiting for~?" Aiko hummed happily as the new 'tail' was very interested in her.
Yuxi tilted her head, not understanding what Aiko meant.
"Where is Wanshu?" Aiko looked around with a smile.
Yuxi's eyes shook and she bowed.
"Now, shoo shoo." Aiko shooed Yuxi away as her first assignment was given.
"Yes, Mistress." Yuxi pursed her lips and disappeared from her place.
"... Isn't that a bit too quick...?" Aiko felt that she had lost the title of being the fastest on her team.
Seeing the confused and sad Aiko, the Blood Fox pursed her lips.
'She smells way too good, I should make some distance between us...' The Blood Fox was intoxicated by Aiko. She felt like she was in a bad spot since Aiko was too weak currently, but if she stayed with Aiko like this, the Blood Fox knew for a fact that she would become completely obsessed with this smell!
Aiko weakly leaned back, startling the Blood Fox. The grip around Aiko tightened.
"Now we can see face to face~!" Aiko smiled from ear to ear, making the Blood Fox blush a deep red.
Aiko had a slight... issue with being so small, since it felt like everyone was looking down on her from high up. Now that things changed, she was slightly upset that she was this big, since it would be harder to nail people's asses.
'I hope I can fix that later...' Aiko narrowed her eyes. She could never be satisfied...
...
After the strange bone-chilling Fox disappeared their greed resurfaced, but before they could move a huge Dragon appeared in front of them, almost crushing them.
"Long, congratulates the Holy Fox for a successful Evolution against all odds." Ai Long bowed in front of Aiko which made everyone speechless, including the Young Master since it felt like he was slapped on the cheeks.
Aiko tilted her head. "Do we know each other?" She couldn't understand this custom.
"No, I merely pay my respects to someone who survived such a disaster." Ai Long said gravely, putting emphasis on the 'disaster' part, so that everyone knows that it's this Fox that had that cruel Evolution.
[You have gained a new Title: [Respect from Dragons]!]
Aiko blinked a few times. This was not a bad title...
[You have gained a new Title: [Greed from Humans]!]
Never mind, she didn't like the next one, but that was fine. Aiko felt like she would be able to get rid of it sooner or later.
"In that case, thank you." Aiko nodded gently, her smell and voice caressed the Dragon making him flustered.
"W-well..." Ai Long was flustered since he couldn't believe how strong that smell was! That was not in the knowledge that he inherited!
"You wouldn't happen to have glue, would you?" Aiko smiled sinisterly, but her beauty was too high to affect anyone negatively.
The Dragon shook his head, but then he paused. His tail wrapped around his Master and he brought him closer to Aiko.
"My Master should have what you seek." Ai Long spoke highly of his Master for the first time since forever. 'Now don't be stupid and fulfil her wishes! We will only gain from befriending her!'
'Says someone who slapped me in the face with this event!' The Young Master snorted unhappily.
'Don't make me kill you just to retrieve some simple glue.' Ai Long threatened the Young Master through their usual telepathy.
The Young Master clicked his tongue. "I have some glue, but it's really strong." He narrowed his eyes trying to figure out this Fox, but in his eyes, she was barely alive...
Aiko nodded happily. "Now I will need sand." She smiled sinisterly.
Ai Long immediately picked up a rock and crushed it into fine, small particles that could act as sand. "Please use this." He smiled while wagging his tail.
Aiko was visibly confused, but accepted this gesture. She pulled out the special torture tool, which was just a chastity belt for males.
She opened the insides, poured some glue onto the metal inner walls and then used the fine gravel as the filling, creating an improvised sandpaper.
"Almost finished." Aiko smiled from ear to ear. Now she just needed to make it vibrate, which was easy since her hand recovered from that poison. She still felt some discomfort, but that should fade over time.
Aiko grabbed her special Inscription Carving Pen and started her engraving.
The ambient Qi visibly dropped and this time the Young Master was shocked.
"Inscription Emperor?!" His voice quivered and he now understood why the Dragon was like that.
His reason was completely off, but that was fine.
"Just Master." Aiko briefly replied and everyone choked.
'This is not how an Inscription Master works!' Everyone wanted to retort and scold her, but Aiko's insane beauty made them only go:
"Your Heavenly Calligraphy is unmatched!"
"Your beauty can rival the Heavens!"
"Your steady grip can put Inscription Emperors to shame!"
And so on...
Aiko was bothered by their words, but kept writing until she finished a very simple Vibration Inscription.
Aiko nodded gently. Now that she has prepared this for Yuxi, they just have to pursue her.
"Please wait." One Cultivator said. "I have fallen in love with you, can you please-"
"Drop-dead you pervert!" Aiko was disgusted and she said that on impulse.
And he... he really dropped dead. His heart stopped beating and he had a blissful expression on his face.
Aiko was even more repulsed as others kept saying the same thing.
"You all bark like dogs!" Aiko scoffed at them.
"Bark, Bark."
"Woof, Woof."
Aiko was shocked and hid behind the Blood Fox. Her soft bosom pressed on the Blood Fox's back making her own back straighten to get away from that tempting sensation. Unfortunately, Aiko was right behind her and the Blood Fox could only softly moan in her mind...
