Chapter 373 - Meeting With An Unexpected Friend

The creatures in front of Khal had a rather unique appearance, completely different from the ones he has seen before.

In total contrast to the common humanoid figures that the Night Crawlers or the Berserkers had, the beings at the edge of the pond were completely bestial.

They had long metallic fur, long and scary faces akin to wolves, pointy ears, razor-sharp teeth, and claws that just by looking at made one think that it could rip trees and boulders into pieces with a single swing!

Their whole appearance was the definition of brutal and feral, no matter from what angle one tried to look at them!

'To think I will be brought back into the domain of the Silver Furs...' Khal closed his eyes as he sighed gently in his heart.

"Haha, to think we would be hitting the jackpot today! Haha! This is our fifth catch today!" one of the Silver Fur that stood at the edge of the pond let out a wild laugh that sounded somewhat akin to a hyena's laugh and glanced at his comrades, "Quick, report to the boss. I am sure he will be more than gl-"

The creature began to speak with delight but was abruptly quietened as suddenly watched the scenery around him spin like crazy before everything he once saw turned black.

"?!"

The Silver Furs that were ready to run to bring their boss back halted dead in their tracks and watched with stupefied expressions as their comrade who just talked now lay on the cold ground, his head rolling away into the distance akin to a bowling ball!

"W-What happened? Why is Second Leader dead all of a sudden?" the creature that was closest to the corpse began to look left and right, his body slightly trembling from the unknown fear that slowly crept itself into his body.

The others behind it were doing the same, trying to find the culprit, but no matter where they looked or what tracking skill they used, they found no trace of the assassin at all!

It was almost like the killer appeared and disappeared from thin air like death, reaping their leader's soul under a single second!

"Bring me to your boss. I wish to speak with him." as the creatures were almost going insane because of the incapability of not finding the assassin, suddenly Khal's voice that was akin to a pissed Karen appeared from the side which immediately attracted their attention.

"Brat, know your place. You are not so-"

Swish!

Another head fell heavily to the ground, shocking the remaining two Silver Furs on the side right down to their bone!

Khal giving no look at the corpses glanced at the two remaining creatures and said indifferently, "I will give you two choices. You will bring me to your boss or I will kill you right here and now and find him myself. Not like choosing either one will change a thing though."

The two Silver Furs were not idiots. When they saw how two of their strongest warriors fell in a blink while the human boy didn't even flinch upon seeing death, they knew something was amiss.

Also, because they were Silver Furs possessing a Blessing that allowed them to detect danger a few seconds beforehand which was something akin to a sixth sense, they didn't hesitate to nod firmly and lead the human to their boss.

"B-Boss... There is someone that wishes to talk with you." the two creatures kneeled down and watched as Silver Fur with a size twice as large as theirs walked out of a small cave.

"Huh? A human boy?" The boss looked confused, but seeing that only two of his men were currently present he frowned and asked, "Where the fuck are Kish and Manel?"

"You are the boss of this gang?" seeing that he was ignored, Khal took a step forward silently and asked, his face as calm as an ancient pond.

"I was not talking to you trash so shut the hell up or I will gut you alive!" the boss of the Silver Furs bared its sharp fangs at Khal, showing a rather intimidating look.

Upon hearing those words Khal just smiled and swung his sleeve.

Swish! Swish!

Thud!

Just under what seemed to be a breath, the two heads of the creatures next to Khal fell to the ground, filling the air with the smell of iron in an instant!

"Now I believe you can only talk to me," Khal said with a calm smile.

"Who are you and what do you want?" the creature narrowed his eyes at Khal while completely ignoring how his two men were killed before his very eyes.

"Who am I is meaningless for you to know. As for why I am here... Well..." Khal began to speak calmly and soon his face turned chilling while a heavy pressure began to ooze out of his body, making the creature's body tremble uncontrollably.

"L-Limit Breaker?! Impossible! You are just way too young!"

Ignoring the shocked face of the creature, Khal looked at the cave behind the creature and narrowed his eyes. Then, without saying anything else waved his hand, severing the creatures' head off from his shoulders with a clean cut.

"There is no longer a reason to talk with a criminal," Khal mumbled and walked inside the cave with slow steps, only to see several beings tied up to the walls with chains.

There were young and old, female and male, each having wounds all over their bodies that didn't seem to heal in any moment. Furthermore, they looked terrifyingly thin, indicating they were not fed properly and some were on the verge of starving!

When Khal saw this sight his expression chilled and his fingers tightened into fists. Just the mere thought alone that similar things were happening all around the Second and even the Higher Realm made him feel boiling anger.

"Huh?" as he examined everyone on the walls that seemed to lose all hope to ever see daylight again, suddenly his eyes spotted a petite figure in the distance, seemingly looking rather familiar to him.

And to his great shock, it was indeed someone who he knew!

"Raven?" Khal asked with widened eyes as he quickly used his weapon to cut the chains off from Raven's body before catching her seemingly weak figure gently that would have been fallen to the ground like a ragdoll.
