Chapter 464: Chapter 469: Deliberate 7
After taking a shower, she was drying her hair and planning to lay down when she suddenly remembered the last time she had come home; Beiming Han had come on his own and he insisted on drying her hair for her.
…
She knocked on her mother’s door. Seeing her properly dressed daughter with a bag on her shoulders, Lin Yin asked, “What is it? Are you leaving already?”
“Yes.” Gu Qingxin lowered her head, feeling a bit guilty.
“Well then, go. I am fine, stop worrying about me so much. I saw on television that the Sheng Ming Corporation is hosting a fashion competition at your school. It seems like a large-scale event this time; it was even reported on the news,” Lin Yin said.
“Yes, I have registered for it.” Gu Qingxin immediately replied upon hearing her mother mention it.
“Then do your best! You must achieve a good result, do you understand?” Lin Yin patted her daughter’s arm.
“I understand. I will certainly try my best.” Gu Qingxin started to smile.
“Go ahead,” Lin Yin said.
“You should rest early, too. If the Gu Family comes, don’t open the door for them,” Gu Qingxin commanded, not feeling at ease.
“I understand,” Lin Yin waved goodbye.

Gu Qingxin ran all the way to the residential area entrance, then took a cab to the North Garden.
By the time she arrived at the North Garden, it was already pretty late.
Aunt Zhou, upon seeing her return, expressed surprise, “Miss, I thought you were not going to return tonight.”
“Aunt Zhou, where is the young master?” Gu Qingxin handed her school bag to Aunt Zhou.
“He’s upstairs. When he returned, he looked upset–it seems like he got angry about something again.” Aunt Zhou whispered.
Gu Qingxin, “…”
Gu Qingxin’s eyes wandered. Instead of going upstairs directly, she turned around and walked towards the villa exit.
“Ah, Miss, aren’t you going to see the young master first?” Aunt Zhou asked.
“I am going to see General and Xiao Bai first. I haven’t seen them for so long, I miss them,” Gu Qingxin said, skipping away from the villa.
Aunt Zhou, “…”
As she turned around, she saw Beiming Han standing at the entrance of the elevator with an impending storm on his face.
“Young Master… I was in the process of making soup in the kitchen…” Aunt Zhou said, prepared to sneak away.
She didn’t want to be caught in the crossfire if the young master and miss started bickering again.
“Wait!” Beiming Han said.
“…”
“Give me the school bag.” Beiming Han commanded coldly.
“…”
Aunt Zhou immediately ran over and handed Gu Qingxin’s school bag over to him.
Beiming Han took Gu Qingxin’s bag, turned around, and entered the elevator again.
Back in his study, he tossed her bag onto the couch. A rattling noise came from inside the bag, causing him to pause his steps.
Why was there such noise coming from the school bag?
Beiming Han picked up her pink bag and shook it—the rattling sound was still there.
He furrowed his brows, opened the bag, and besides a few books, he found nothing else. He also opened a separate compartment in the bag and found two white medicine bottles, both without any labels on them—it seemed like they had been purposefully torn off.
What kind of medicine was the little girl taking?
Beiming Han opened one of the bottles and poured out a pill to examine it. It had no indications or letters of any kind on it.
After coming back from the wolf pen back to her own place, Gu Qingxin didn’t find her bag so she went to Aunt Zhou.
Aunt Zhou had just prepared a pot of ginseng chicken soup when Gu Qingxin entered and asked, “Aunt Zhou, where did you put my school bag?”
“The young master took it upstairs.” Aunt Zhou smiled.
“…” Gu Qingxin turned to leave, but Aunt Zhou stopped her. “Wait a moment. I made some soup. You should take it upstairs. Both you and the young master should drink some and nourish your bodies. Both of you have been losing weight recently.”
