Divine Exchanged System

Chapter 26

C26 – The Powerful Biscuits

Wang Shan appeared on the carriage with a brown-yellow cat out of nowhere.

Luckily, the five girls were fast asleep and didn’t notice his abrupt vanishing act, which would have been hard for him to explain.

He took another look at the brown-yellow cat before him.

It seemed quite ordinary, but as a descendant of the white cat, it likely possessed some unique abilities.

“I’m in need of a Combat Pet, so you’ll stay with me.”

Wang Shan named the cat Wangcai, a name that matched his own fondness for wealth.

Now that Wangcai was his responsibility, he needed to get some cat food.

But they had just left Twilight Cloud Town and were now traversing the Desolate Land, where markets would be scarce for some time.

Wangcai was docile while asleep.

Yet upon awakening, it would lash out at Wang Shan.

With no other choice, Wang Shan resorted to freezing the cat.

“Young Master, this cat is adorable. I’d love to look after her,” Jiaxia said. She had a history of caring for many stray cats at the Chu Mansion, and they naturally gravitated towards her.

Once in Jiaxia’s arms, Wangcai calmed down instantly.

“Young Master, let me care for this cat from now on,” Jiaxia offered with a smile, as the other four girls played with Wangcai. Surprisingly, the cat showed no resistance to the five stunning women.

It appeared that no creature could resist the allure of beauty.

Two hours later, Wang Shan and his companions had delved deeper into the Desolate Land.

As Mr. Wang had told them, crossing this barren expanse would lead them to White Light Town.

A bustling hub teeming with formidable figures and numerous beauties awaited them.

But first, they needed to give their horses a break to regain strength.

When the carriage halted, Jiaxia noticed the area was abundant with cat grass, a favorite among felines.

An idea struck Wang Shan: he wondered what treasures he could get through a System Exchange with cat grass.

He began harvesting the plant, and the system quickly offered a response.

[One pound of cat grass can be exchanged for ten pounds of cat training cookies, which, when fed to cats over time, can increase their affection, loyalty, and combat prowess, as well as awaken their talents! Would you like to make the exchange?]

“System Exchange.”

Wang Shan swiftly received ten pounds of cat training cookies.

“Jiaxia, let Wangcai go,” Wang Shan commanded.

Jiaxia shook her head, “Young Master, he’s very scared of you. What if he bites you?”

Wang Shan didn’t bother to explain and promptly produced a cat training cookie.

At the scent of the cookie, Wangcai leaped from Jiaxia’s embrace and approached Wang Shan.

Once Wangcai had finished the cookie, he warmed up to Wang Shan, no longer fearful even when Wang Shan patted his head.

The five women were utterly amazed.

Had the Young Master really tamed Wangcai in such a brief span?

Clearly, the young master possessed an exceptional gift for taming beasts!

“Little buddy, if you want more tasty treats, you’ll need to behave,” Wang Shan said with a smile to Wangcai.

Wangcai, as if he understood perfectly, meowed softly and affectionately nuzzled Wang Shan’s legs.

Meanwhile, five shadowy figures lurking nearby were closely watching every move Wang Shan and his companions made. Their eyes lit up at the sight of Wang Shan with a brown-yellow cat, imagining a windfall of cash before them.

“Anyone who can keep a Combat Pet is definitely wealthy. We’ve struck it rich!” The five figures stealthily encircled Wang Shan’s carriage.
