His hands were shaking as if he was reading something terrifying. 'What happened?' This was what she was left wondering.

"Will he come?" Emma asked while staring at the people that Garrick had kidnapped. Eldric did not have any family. So, everyone that was kidnapped belonged to his wife's side. "He will!! He cares more about this family than this Empire." Garrick was polishing his sword. There were about 19 family members, including the grandparents. Everyone looked terrified of Garrick. Garrick paused for a second and looked at Eldric's wife. "Don't worry, I won't do any harm if your men agree to be loyal to me." Although Garrick never liked the Prime Minister, he had to admit he was the best prime minister the Empire could ever have. Replacing Eldric would be too much work. Even if he managed to find another talented individual to take over, it would probably take a long time for the new Prime Minister to adapt and adjust. 'If everything goes according to plan, then Eldric should be here soon.' Compared to Garrick, Emma wasn't that calm. After all, if one thing went wrong, then it would be the end of her. The only time that he kneeled was during an official ceremony, which happened once every 20 years or even more. Eldric hated kneeling. He felt his whole face burn just with the thought of kneeling in front of Garrick. "Garrick, don't go too far!!" Eldric roared. Seeing this, everyone was surprised, including his own family. Eldric always has been very calm but this time first time they had seen Eldric looking this angry. "It seems you don't understand your situation." Garrick made eye contact with one of his Peak 5th-order bodyguards. "Do it!!" Eldric remained stunned as he witnessed one of his family members's head being severed with a dagger.
