The necromancer tried to split Ethan into several pieces by firing ice spears after ice spears. Eventually, he learned that it was impossible that he would take Ethan off-guard. Still, as long as he breaks his sword, the victory will be his. What he didn't know was that Ethan was using Neutral Enchantment whenever he blocked the projectiles and thus preventing his weapon from suffering too much damage. Even so, that wasn't Ethan's true intention.
"Big sis," Ethan whispered. "Can you block those spears?"
"Of course, he isn't taking us seriously yet, after all," Hannah replied. "What are you planning?"
"It is time to scare him a little bit," Ethan replied. "I won't block the fifth ice spear and will attack him. Be careful."
Hannah nodded. Although Ethan was a bit overprotective, she could see where he was coming from. After all, even Hannah lost plenty of comrades while she was fighting in the past. Regardless, just as he had said, Ethan didn't block the fifty projectiles. Instead, he moved to the side and then charged toward the necromancer at a speed that made him look like a blur. Meanwhile, Hannah just pointed her hands toward the ice spear, and the projectile turned into water immediately.
The necromancer clicked his tongue when he saw that one of his biggest spells was easily countered like that. Still, he had other things to worry about, like Ethan's charge. The necromancer pointed his staff at him when Ethan was just ten meters away. However, that didn't make Ethan stop. Even at that distance, Ethan was confident that he would be able to react on time and block any projectiles that might be thrown at him. However, not even when the distance between them was halved a projectile appeared. Something was off…. Still, Ethan couldn't just stop his charge.
When Ethan was just ten meters away from the necromancer, he swung his sword downward to split him in two. However, before his sword could land, something appeared and blocked the attacked… no, it didn't block. It forcefully stopped Ethan's movements. Ethan clicked his tongue in annoyance when he saw the electric barrier appearing out of nowhere. Usually, the weight behind the attack would still make the sword land on the enemy. Still, since he was being electrocuted and had no intention of letting his sword go, Ethan's attack was stopped. Without any other choice, he jumped backward.

Both of his hands were numb, but despite that, Ethan didn't let his sword go. He was used to that kind of annoying effect, so he knew what he had to do in order to keep the weapon where it should be. Regardless, attacking the necromancer directly might pose a problem since he was relatively good at using thunder spells, and Ethan's resistances against that would take time to grow… that usually would be the case, but there was something Ethan could do and ignore that.
In the blink of an eye, Ethan leveled up his Shock Resistance up to level twenty-one and then prepared his next attack. The electric barrier was still up, so the necromancer couldn't help but smirk at that crazy act. However, the smirk disappeared when the sword didn't slow down this time. The electric current still was passing through the sword and hitting Ethan, but he couldn't be stopped this time.

Even Hannah was having a hard time understanding what was going on. Still, she eventually learned that it was just Ethan being Ethan, and he was just ignoring the pain as usual. Still, the bastard sword didn't cut the necromancer in two. At some point, even though that wasn't supposed to happen, a thin, but powerful ice barrier appeared and enveloped his whole body. Ethan had attacked with all his might, but he didn't leave a single mark on the barrier. Without any other choice, Ethan retreated again.
"You big idiot!" Hannah shouted when she approached and saw the burn marks on Ethan's arms. "Do you want to lose your arms?"
"I don't think I will," Ethan said and the felt shivers when he felt Hannah's hand touching his arms. "Don't touch it!"
You received 2500 experience points.
However, it was too late. Hannah touched Ethan's arms just for a single moment, but that had been enough for her to get her mana absorbed, and she felt her spirit being absorbed by something insanely powerful. If Ethan had reacted on time, all her mana would have been sucked, and then her memories would be next to disappear.
Hannah looked at Ethan with her mouth hanging open. She had faced creatures that could drain her mana before, but not even the most powerful could have drained so much mana so fast. Ethan's power was more fearsome than she thought.
"Sorry, I was careless…" Hannah said and then began to heal Ethan's arm without touching them.
"Good grief…" Ethan sighed and then began to watch the necromancer.
Even their foes noticed that something was off. The previous attack shocked him, but their reactions to a single moment of touching others puzzled him even more. Maybe he could use that…
"Don't even think about it, mate," Ethan said. "If you try to use what you don't understand, you won't even have the chance to regret it."
That warning was different from the previous one. Thanks to it, the necromancer thought that Ethan was just bluffing or trying to hide some kind of weakness. Ethan sighed when he saw that. It was obvious that the necromancer was thinking because he wasn't the first one who tried something as stupid as that. Ethan wanted to keep that power in check, but fools would be fools no matter what. So, he could easily imagine how things were going to end.
