Chapter 80: Riding a motorbike
As soon as Noah stepped into his personal room at the boy's dormitory of Peerless Academy, he felt a sense of comfort and familiarity wash over him which was strange considering he had been here less than a month.
Shaking his head to discard any distracting thought, Noah headed straight to the immaculate bathroom attached to his room. The soothing sound of running water greeted him as he turned on the shower, adjusting the temperature to his liking. Steam filled the air, creating a serene atmosphere that melted away the stresses of the day.
Noah luxuriated in the warm water, allowing it to ease the tension from his muscles and rejuvenate his weary body. The gentle cascade of water on his skin was a blissful respite, washing away the sweat and grime of the day's activities. He took his time, relishing each moment of the refreshing bath, letting the water's embrace invigorate his senses.
After drying off and slipping into comfortable clothes, Noah made his way to the living room before taking out some freshly barked cookies he brought on his way back. The aroma of warm chocolate and buttery goodness enveloped the space, enticing Noah to indulge in the delectable treats.
With each bite of the delicious cookies, he felt like he was in heaven, to complement this feeling Noah bought some Cardamom Hot Chocolate.
''Simply wonderful!" Noah was satisfied. Once he was done he checked his gains from the Survival Test.

Out of the blue, Noah's phone chimed with a notification. Surprised, he quickly checked to see who the sender was. To his astonishment, it was Lilith, reaching out to him much sooner than he had anticipated. Intrigued, he opened the message and was taken aback by its content.
"Is this some kind of prank?" Noah wondered aloud, but there was no one around to answer his question. All he could do was chuckle to himself, mystified by the situation.

The following day,
Noah woke up on Sunday morning, feeling a mix of surprise and concern. Lilith's request to teach her how to ride a motorbike had caught him completely off guard and he almost refused. Nonetheless, Noah had recently reconnected with Lilith and didn't want to let her down, so he reluctantly agreed to teach her.
As he arrived at the designated meeting spot, he saw Lilith standing next to a sleek, black motorbike. Her expression remained as stoic as ever, giving no indication of her thoughts or emotions. Noah couldn't help but wonder why she had suddenly developed an interest in riding a motorbike.
"Good morning, Lilith," Noah greeted her, trying to hide his apprehension. "Are you sure you want to learn how to ride a motorbike? It's quite different from a bicycle."
Lilith nodded, her eyes fixed on the ground. Noah knew that her determination was unwavering, even if her emotions were hidden.
"Alright then," Noah replied, trying to sound confident. "Let's start with the basics of motorbike riding. We'll take it slow and make sure you feel comfortable."
Noah began by explaining the different parts of the motorbike and their functions. He showed Lilith how to start the engine, change gears, and brake. Lilith listened intently, absorbing the information without showing any signs of nervousness.
"Now, let's practice starting and stopping the motorbike," Noah suggested, guiding Lilith to sit on the bike.
"I'll be here to support you and ensure your safety."
Noah held onto the back of the bike as Lilith started the engine. She carefully released the clutch and began to move forward, her focus unwavering. Noah could sense her determination and couldn't help but admire her resilience.
As the morning progressed, Noah gradually let go of the bike, allowing Lilith to ride on her own. She accelerated cautiously, gaining confidence with each passing minute. Noah watched as she navigated the turns and corners, her expression remaining unchanged.
"You're doing great, Lilith!" Noah encouraged her, his voice filled with pride.
"You're a natural at this."
Lilith gave a slight nod, acknowledging his words but remaining silent. Noah couldn't help but wonder what thoughts were running through her mind, but he respected her need for privacy.
As the lesson continued, Lilith became more comfortable with the motorbike. She practiced maneuvering through different terrains, honing her skills with precision and control. Noah couldn't deny the progress she was making, despite his initial reservations.
By the end of the morning, Lilith was confidently riding the motorbike, her expression still impassive but with a hint of satisfaction. Noah couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. Teaching Lilith how to ride a motorbike had been a challenge, but it had also brought them closer together.
As they parked the motorbike and prepared to leave, Noah turned to Lilith and said,
"You've done an amazing job, Lilith. I'm proud of how far you've come."
Lilith gave a small nod, aNoah knew it was her way of expressing gratitude.
Teaching Lilith how to ride a motorbike had been an unexpected journey, one that Noah would always cherish. It had taught him the importance of stepping out of his comfort zone and embracing the unexpected. And in the process, he had gained a newfound respect for Lilith's determination and strength.
Noah and Lilith rode the motorbike back to the starting point, feeling a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction after the successful lesson. As they approached the end of their ride, Noah noticed a quaint little café on the side of the road and an idea popped into his mind.
"Hey, Lilith, how about we make a quick stop at that café? We can rest for a bit and grab something to eat or drink," Noah suggested, hoping to spend some more time with Lilith and continue their reconnection.
Lilith nodded in agreement, her expression unchanged. Noah couldn't help but smile, understanding that her nod was her way of expressing consent and appreciation for the suggestion.
He parked the motorbike and entered the cozy café. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Noah found a comfortable booth by the window and gestured for Lilith to join him.
As they sat down, Noah couldn't help but notice how relaxed Lilith seemed, despite her usual stoic demeanor. It was as if the motorbike riding lesson had brought out a different side of her, a side that Noah was grateful to witness.
A friendly waitress approached their table and handed them the menu. Noah glanced at the options and decided to order a couple of cappuccinos and a plate of freshly baked pastries to share.
As they waited for their order to arrive, Noah struck up a conversation with Lilith, wanting to know more about her thoughts and feelings after the motorbike lesson.
"So, Lilith, how did you find the motorbike riding lesson? Was it what you expected?"
Noah asked, genuinely curious about her perspective.
Lilith paused for a moment, her eyes focused on the table. Then, she looked up and met Noah's gaze, her expression softening slightly.
"It was different from what I expected," Lilith replied in her calm and measured tone. "But I enjoyed the challenge. Thank you for teaching me."
Noah felt a surge of warmth and appreciation as he listened to Lilith's words.
Their order arrived, and they savored the aromatic coffee and delicious pastries in comfortable silence. The café's ambiance provided a peaceful backdrop for their conversation, allowing them to enjoy each other's company without the need for constant words.
As they finished their refreshments, Noah couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment.
As they left the café and prepared to part ways, Noah turned to Lilith and said, "Thank you for trusting me to teach you how to ride a motorbike, Lilith. It was a pleasure but you owe me one."
Lilith nodded once again, her eyes conveying her gratitude and a newfound sense of closeness. Noah knew that their bond had strengthened, and he looked forward to the day he could claim this debt, it would be fun.
With a final nod and a small smile, Noah and Lilith bid each other farewell.
