Chapter 33 Can We Buy You as Our Daddy? 1
33 Can We Buy You as Our Daddy? 1
The rain was pouring heavily in Shenzhen tonight, trapping its residents in their homes. She didn't think that the storm would pass anytime soon and would rather stay here in a stranger's house than place her children's lives in danger.
While she was busy pondering her next plans to save Tang Enterprise from bankruptcy, her children were already tucked in Feng Tianyi's massive bed, waiting for their Uncle Ji to join them.
When Feng Tianyi entered his bedroom after taking a quick shower, he found the twins conversing in low voices.
"What are you two talking about? Can Uncle Ji join?" He lifted himself from his wheelchair and felt the pressure and tension on his arms as he moved to the bed.
It had been five years since he lost his ability to walk and wondered if there would be a day he would be able to walk and move around like a normal person again. His leg muscles had lost its strength and although there was a high probability of him walking again if he agreed for therapy, his pride wasn't allowing him to suffer such humiliation, having to rely on another person and learning how to walk from start again.
"Uncle, can we buy you as our daddy?" Little Star said without batting an eyelid, then she counted using her dainty fingers. "Yu Gege and I are willing to pay you."
Feng Tianyi raised a brow then let out a laugh. There they were again. Why were they insisting to make a deal with him anyway?
First, they offered Tang Moyu as a bargaining chip to pay for damages, now, they were thinking to bargain again, thinking they could afford him with money.
"Didn't your Mommy tell you it's illegal to buy a person? If you really want a daddy, shouldn't you be asking your Mommy, where he is?" He asked back.

The moment he saw their faces fell after his question made him feel guilty. Did he cross the line by asking a sensitive question?
To be honest, he initially thought that these little buns were from his half-brother, Feng Tianhua, but the evidence and events have proven that they weren't. Five years ago, there was no man who was close enough to Tang Moyu to have an affair with her.
"Your mother didn't tell you anything?" He asked again.
Xiao Bao shook his head and sighed.
"We did ask her once but…" he hesitated but Feng Tianyi remained patient. He held Xiao Bao's hand and nodded his reassurance. "Mommy said she didn't know who our father was. We're not sure how it is even possible."
A cold shiver ran down his spine at the thought. That was possible in his opinion. Someone must have schemed against Tang Moyu before. Someone deliberately ruined the empress's reputation and got rid of her.
Now, the next question would be, who could that person be?
Feng Tianyi could only assume. Tang Moyu might have several enemies during her reign as the empress of the business world, and it wouldn't be impossible that they'd want to bring harm to her.
Was it Feng Tianhua or his lover Xing Yiyue? Both were the two people who would greatly benefit from Tang Moyu's fall and now that she was back, the possibility of her enemies turning their heads to her would increase.
"Alright, go to sleep. You had a long day earlier." He told the twins. It didn't take long for him to wait as the two little buns were out like a light bulb in under fifteen minutes.
Feng Tianyi wheeled himself back to his living area to check on Tang Moyu. She was sitting on his couch with her laptop, her spectacles hanging on the bridge of her nose.
"Coffee?" He asked, trying to get her attention.
Tang Moyu lifted her gaze and saw him wheeling towards the kitchen.
"I would love one," she replied. "Do you need help?" She offered.
"No thanks," Feng Tianyi politely declined. "But if you want some dessert, I made some tiramisu earlier. I would like to hear your opinion on it."
And just like that, Tang Moyu left her laptop on the coffee table and went to the fridge. She pulled out a glass tray and placed it on the counter while Feng Tianyi brewed their coffee.
"Looks good!" She commented. She heard a low laugh from Feng Tianyi.
"Feel free to take a slice. This would take some time."
Tang Moyu did what she'd been told to and sat at the dining table waiting for Feng Tianyi to join her.
"Have you been crying earlier?" His question caught her off guard. Was she really that obvious? Her little buns didn't notice it, right?
She brought her fork down and looked down on the slice of her tiramisu that was already half eaten. This was already her third slice.
When she didn't say anything, Feng Tianyi apologized.
"Sorry. I noticed your eyes were a little rimmed red. I didn't mean to imply anything." He said as he pushed the cup of coffee towards Tang Moyu.
"It's fine. I should've known not to expect anything from my family." She mumbled to herself, but enough for Feng Tianyi to hear.
