Chapter 34
C34 – Kill the Assassin
“I’ve been an assassin for twelve years, and I’ve never encountered anyone as brazen as you,” the Eldest Brother said with a sneer.
He regarded Mo Changyou with disdain, as if he were nothing more than a fool.
The Eldest Brother, at Energy Condensation Level 8, gave Mo Changyou a malevolent glance.
Meanwhile, Tang Nuolan, carried on Mo Changyou’s back, was filled with confusion.
“Has Mo Changyou lost his mind?” she wondered to herself.
“Have you lost your mind? Why on earth did you come back?” Tang Nuolan was frantic, unable to comprehend why the usually composed Mo Changyou would act so recklessly.
It was beyond belief.
“Eldest Brother, she’s stunning,” remarked the pudgy Second Brother, ogling Tang Nuolan with his sleazy eyes.
“Let’s just kill him and get it over with,” the Eldest Brother grunted.
In all of Black Rock City, Tang Nuolan was renowned for her beauty, surpassing even Mo Yunyun of the Mo family.
Yet, Mo Changyou showed no interest in her.
“Your end is near,” Mo Changyou declared, his clear eyes flickering with a trace of murderous intent.
No one had ever dared to speak to him in such a way.
“It’s you who’s closer to death,” the Second Brother guffawed, pointing at Mo Changyou.
“Prepare to die!”

But as his words fell, Mo Changyou sprang into action.
“Dragon Fist!”
With a punch that burst forth in an instant, he unleashed a third of his body’s energy, pushing the Battle Symbol Spell to its extreme.
“Kill!”
Mo Changyou roared as he surged forward, a golden dragon spiraling around his arm. His immense Spirit Energy furiously surged through his meridians. Thanks to his Vajra Sacred Body, he could harness an abundance of Spirit Energy and unleash it with tremendous force.
In that moment, a third of his body’s liquefied Spirit Energy was expended.
His straightforward punch resounded with the roar of a dragon.
The dragon’s formidable power crashed into the fatty’s face, shattering his head in an instant.
He was up against a practitioner at Energy Condensation Level 7, yet it took Mo Changyou only one punch.
As Mo Changyou delivered the fatal blow, despair washed over Tang Nuolan’s face. In the span of a single breath, the Level 7 Energy Condensation fatty was dead.
“Can a practitioner at Energy Condensation Level 5 really do this?” Tang Nuolan was utterly astonished, finding it hard to believe what she was witnessing.
The man who was just killed, a cultivator at Energy Condensation Level 7, should have been considerably powerful. Yet, he was defeated with a single punch by Mo Changyou, who was only at Energy Condensation Level 5.
“How on earth did Mo Changyou manage that?” Tang Nuolan wondered to herself, thoroughly baffled.
Mo Changyou clenched his fist tighter, turning his attention to the remaining assassin.
“Do you have any last words?” he asked coolly.
“You killed my brother!” The assassin’s complexion went deathly pale. He was consumed with madness, fear, and rage, his intent to kill palpable.
His own brother had been slain in the blink of an eye.
“Today, you will join my brother in death! White Tiger Heavenly Art, third form, shatter!” The assassin channeled his Spirit Energy and launched a ferocious punch.
His speed was incredible. The White Tiger Heavenly Art had a formidable legacy.
“This is the Sovereign Stage technique that was lost to history, now in the hands of this man.” Mo Changyou might not recognize the technique, but Tang Nuolan did.
Mastering the White Tiger Heavenly Art to Great Completion allowed one to battle beyond their level.
Tang Nuolan’s concern for Mo Changyou grew. His current level was Energy Condensation Level 4, while the assassin was at Energy Condensation Level 8.
Even someone at Energy Condensation Level 9 would struggle against this foe.
“Get out of here quickly. His Spirit Energy is running low. You can still make it out,” Tang Nuolan urged.
She was being carried by Mo Changyou, and if he were to fail, she knew her fate would be far grimmer than death.
“Tiger Fist!”
Unruffled, Mo Changyou executed the Dragon Tiger Fist. As the roar of the White Tiger echoed, their fists met in a mighty clash.
Mo Changyou was hurled several meters back, but he steadied himself and roared defiantly.
“Today, you will surely die alongside my brother!” The assassin pushed the White Tiger Heavenly Art to its extreme, a sinister smile on his face. He fixed his gaze on Mo Changyou and launched another punch, sending Mo Changyou flying with the force of his blow.
“Quick, we need to run. This person’s body is running low on Spirit Energy. We can make it out in time,” Tang Nuolan urged. Her anxiety was palpable; the last thing she wanted was to be defiled or to meet her end in this place.
