Chapter 258: Boner
"Damn! I saw this Mason guy wreak havoc at the rookie admission exam. I can't believe Shye Crowley simply toyed with him!"
"H-Holy shit!! This arrogant rookie is the real f*cking deal! I want to see how he would fare against those monsters from the top 5 of this year's rookie admission exam."
"It seems that Candor's decision was correct…F*cking with this guy isn't the least bit ideal."
Naturally, a significant uproar erupted among the guild members of Raven's Blade.
The majority were present to witness the recent rookie admission exam, and even a few veterans with over five years of adventuring experience knew they'd have a hard time defeating those in the top ten.
Hence, the scene of Shye destroying the 9th-ranked Mason utterly shocked their little hearts, making a single thought resonate in their minds:
'This rookie indeed has the capital to be arrogant!'
They wanted to see him clash against the higher-ranked rookies, unfortunately, those in the top five all left for quests before Shye could return so they would probably not be able to see them fight anytime soon.
Well, no matter.
The annual Raven's Blade rookie competition is just six months away anyway.
Allowing some time for the rookies to develop was actually advantageous in determining who was the most talented among them.
Following his victory over Mason, Shye didn't spare a glance and promptly made his way directly to the desk where they placed the sack pouches containing 200,000 silver coins and their adventurer licenses, laid out for the victor to claim.

Grabbing everything on the table, Shye waved at Seira, beckoning for her to come closer before the two of them swiftly left the small arena.
Seira then claimed her 41,900 silver coin winnings from the betting station, returning to Shye's side promptly after.
"Here, 6570 silver coins," Shye said, handing over a huge sum of money equivalent to the earnings of around three solo quests as though it was nothing.
Well, it was nothing to him—right now, at least.
Taking the money from Shye's hands, Seira's expression turned from a lost to a happy one.
The realization of what had actually occurred finally sank in deep within her heart.
"H-Holy Crap! Boss Big Brother Shye! You're really strong, aren't you? Even I don't believe I can defeat you," Seira confessed, her eyes devoid of any hint of flattery, expressing only pure honesty. "How could you be so strong at duels?"
"HAHAHAHAHAHA! You finally acknowledge my strength now? Well then, let's turn our quest in shall we?"
"Oh, crap! I forgot about that! Let's go."

"All set, Sir Crowley, Miss Ramah. Once again, thank you very much for contributing to the guild!"
"Thank you, Miss Shauna"
"Thanks, Shauna."
After successfully receiving their rewards for the quest, the two of them parted ways.
Seira went to chill in the lobby and talk to her friends while Shye left the branch headquarters under the respectful gazes of his guildmates.
Now, they know that Shye wasn't a guy one should f*ck with.
With a contented stroll along the bustling street, Shye opted to treat himself to another delightful dinner, relishing the attention from onlookers who pointed fingers and whispered about his victory over Mason in their duel as he walked towards the seafood restaurant.
Another lovely day for Shye the show-off.
Enjoying the subtle night lights and the gentle evening hubbub of the city's residents, it took Shye around twenty minutes before he arrived at the seafood restaurant and enjoyed another generous serving of delectable seafood, delicately assaulting his taste buds and his olfactory senses as he chewed and swallowed with an expression of utter bliss.
Once he was full, he paid the four hundred silver coin bill and left a tip of fifty silver coins for the waiter who remembered him and took the initiative to serve him again today.
He was slowly becoming a regular.
'Ahhhh…great food as always!' Shye inwardly complimented the seafood restaurant, taking his time as he looked around for a fairly high-quality inn to sleep in for the night.
While in search of a good place to sleep, Shye remembered that two weeks had already passed since their batch graduated.
'Shirley has probably settled down in Nookbury City by now…I'll drop by the post office tomorrow…'
A few minutes later, his gaze was captured by a towering pavilion, resembling an inn with a distinct theme.
'Oh? Should I try sleeping here?' thought Shye, ultimately deciding to try the place out.
It looked luxurious after all.
Humming a merry tune as he headed inside, Shye was greeted by subtle red lights illuminating the vast marble lobby and giving it a…spicy vibe.
'Hmm…well, the red lights are quite strange but…it must be part of the theme.'
He had a few doubts, however, he simply shrugged it off and headed towards the opulent granite countertop manned by a disastrously beautiful receptionist with an ample bosom.
Although one couldn't see her behind from the counter, one could be sure that it was just as blessed as her front.
…
"Thank you, young master, for booking a premium room! Along with your accommodation, you're entitled to unlimited drinks from the bar on the left, just around this corner."
"I see, thank you."
Having successfully booked a room, Shye suddenly felt the urge to enjoy a few alcoholic drinks at the bar, hence, he turned the corner and headed in its direction.
However, upon arriving, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
In front of the bar was a medium-sized circular stage where three attractive women danced seductively while wearing minimal clothing, entertaining the mature crowd who in turn tossed gold coins on the stage, pleased at the women's performance.
Unexpectedly seeing what he shouldn't Shye's little brother woke up.
Fortunately, before a waiter could arrive by his side, he managed to regather his wits, allowing him to sprint out of the unholy area, straight to the room he booked.
"Darn it! I didn't realize this was that kind of establishment!" he cursed to himself as he locked the door, silently promising to stick to renting rooms in traditional inns.
That specific night, Shye wasn't able to have a great night's sleep as his little brother kept bugging him.
