Chapter 27: Xin Yan's Secret! (Edited)
"I am sorry I was not a good son to you, I am sorry I let my Insecurities get in the way of us. Even when you wanted to look after me I purposely distanced myself from you. I deeply regret ignoring your care and love for me." Long Tian sighed and continued. "At first I thought I took over the body of an innocent child and I did not deserve the love you were giving me."
The revelation shocked Xin Yan to the core. 'What does he mean by that?'
"But later I realized that I was just reincarnated as a child, I was your real child. I was so happy that day and rushed to find you but that day he decided to leave!"
Xin Yan realized he was talking about her father and her eyes turned cold as well.
"Our lives turned worse from that day and I had to distance myself from you once again so that they do not target you thinking you are my weakness but I regret it now. I am dying and I can not say thank you to you for always putting up with me and for always loving me."
The illusion was starting to get more transparent.
"Tian, No!! Don't leave me again Tian!" Xin Yan started crying on her knees in front of the illusion.
" Please do not cry at my death, mother and please keep on living for me, because I will come back. I do not know when and how but I will be back! I Long Tian Promise you that!! And The man who will take over my body is a good guy, do not try to kill him!!"
Xin Yan was too shocked to hear those words and she saw the figure of her son grew more transparent with each passing second and now it was almost about to disappear.
"One more thing. Leave that man, You deserve better. "
"HUH!!! You brat!" Before she could say anything her son had already disappeared from her sight and she saw her boy again to be precise the body that was being controlled by someone else. She saw him coughing blood while he knelt on the ground. His face was pale and traces of sweat rolled down his face.
Noah coughed up a mouthful of blood and cracks appeared on his bodies and the cracks seemed to glow light golden in color, scaring Xin Yan to core.
"What happened to you?" She hurriedly helped him up and asked with concern. Even though she had many questions inside her mind, she waited as she saw his condition.
Sitting on the bed with a pale face Noah mumbled with disdain. "Tch, I keep forgetting that I am back in a mortal body and it can not even perform a mere Tier 7 magic. "

"Magic?" Xin Yan asked in confusion.
"Oh, it's the energy we used back on my planet. Let me fix the body first. " Noah shrugged as looked at the broken energy channels of the body.
Closing his eyes a sudden gust appeared around his body and he started to glow in golden light. The cracks seemed to close by themselves, a sight that shocked Xin Yan.
Within a few minutes, the body was in its peak condition.
"Was that magic too?" Xin Yan asked in astonishment, she was surprised to see him heal the body without the use of any pills and that too in a matter of minutes.
Nodding Noah asked back a question of his own. "Do you want to know anything?"
"Can you tell me about his past life?" From her son's words she came to the conclusion that he had the memories of his past life.
"I do know about it but I can not tell you, not for now." He knew, although she became more stable after talking to her son, she still needed time to adjust to reality. Xin Yan bit her lips hearing his words and her eyes moistened.
"What about this when you meet your son again, you can ask him yourself." looking at her dejected face he offered her a solution.
Hearing it her face lit up as she remembered that Long Tian promised her he would come back.
"I wonder how he will come back."
Not for a second she doubted her son's words, the will to life that had gone extinguished inside of her lit back up more brighter than ever.
...
Xin Yan had a complex look on her face as she looked at Noah, Someone who she did not know until yesterday now living in her son's body.
Taking a deep breath, she decided to confirm something that had been on her mind for quite a long time.
" What will you do with my son's body, if I let you have it? isn't there a way for you to live without his body?"
Noah sighed hearing her question and decided to come clean.
" Sigh! If the boy was an orphan or had bad karma on him, I would have used his body as a sacrifice to create a new one for me through the ritual."
Xin Yan remained silent and listened to him calmly this time. She did not judge him instantly but waited for him to finish.
" If his family members never really cared about him, I would have used his body to cultivate and then used different materials as a sacrifice for creating a new body. I would have buried the body properly after use."
She was intrigued to hear his options. 'Even though he was so powerful, His morals are still better than most of the people in the world who are mere mortals.'
"But to my luck, which has not been good for quite some time. The boy turned out to have not only such a beautiful mother who cares for him but also is ready to sacrifice everything for him. I dropped all those options and now here I am standing in front of you."
A small chuckle escaped his lips as he saw a small red hue appear on Xin Yan's cheeks.
She focused her mind on the options he had told her about.
Looking deep in her eyes Noah waited for her to gather her thoughts, after a few moments of thinking she approached him with determination.
Stopping in front of him, she drew her sword from her thin air and slammed it in the ground, in front of Noah.
Noah, still calm as ever, waited for her to explain herself.
" As long as you don't dishonor my son's body, I can allow you to have it since even my son allowed you to have it. I will put my faith in you so don't betray me."
Xin Yan's eyes glistened with a sharp hue as she looked back deep in his eyes. Noah chuckled and replied.
" If that's the case I won't allow you to take revenge."
An intense killing Intent filled the room causing Noah to raise his eyebrows, he brushed the pressure off casually and added.
"You have sealed your Cultivation, right? If I had to guess you don't want someone to know your location. Why? you seem to be running from something or someone, maybe your family."
Realization dawned on her, she looked around in panic, her eyes widened as she saw the unscathed state of the room.
"Don't worry I have already placed some seals, since yesterday when we started talking otherwise this whole town would have been a mess by now."
