Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

When night fell, I appeared outside. Then I began to look around my surroundings. It is a vast open field, and I am not sure if there is a human settlement nearby.

Then I remembered which direction the survivors fled. I have decided to move westward.

I'm using the flight ability to cross the area. After a few hours of continuous flying, I spotted a bunch of adventurers. It's a mixed group of level-5 and level-6 Wizards.

After confirming it, I increased my speed. In the blink of an eye, I appeared above them.

"Who are you?"

Everyone in the group is startled. They are not any low level wizards. To think someone appeared before then without them knowing. Everyone felt a cold shiver run down their spine.

The Adventurers basically spend the majority of their time outside in the wild. It is normal for them to encounter dangerous environments and hostile wizards.

The three male wizards and two female wizards stood ready to face off.

On the other hand, I could see through their thoughts.

I smiled and said, "Wait, I am not a hostile person. Just give me a map or directions to the nearest city."

The adventurers are taken aback upon hearing this. They exchanged looks. It is unusual for someone to ask for a map out of nowhere.

They began to become suspicious. If they want, they can attack the person and take his loot. Some of their eyes shine with greed.

However, a woman carrying a staff pulls out a scroll map to give.

"Here, take this one, and do not bother us," she stated calmly.

I nodded to her before accepting the map. Then I left the place.

The wizards waited until the person vanished from the location.

"What have you done, Silvia?"

"We could have killed him and looted his wealth," a dark-haired male wizard stated.

Silvia turns towards them. She watches everyone's reaction before saying, "I am not sure if you have noticed anything or not."

"The person greeted us willingly and was not afraid of us. More importantly, I could not judge his strength," she explained.

Gasp!

Others gasped with surprise. Now she is reminded them. Everyone began to recall previous conversations.

"No wonder he spoke to us in such a confident tone," A curly-haired female wizard spoke.

Even the person who misspoke earlier has realized his error. Then everyone turned to Silvia and expressed their gratitude.

On the other hand, I went to a safe place before checking the magic scroll. After receiving system confirmation, I opened the map to view it.

The first thing I noticed was the Adventurer Union symbol on top of the scroll. Seeing that, I confirmed the Adventurers' identities.

Then I began to study the map. As I suspected, it is a bright nation map with many provinces. Then I focused on the Merchant Union's information.

The map shows important landmarks. This includes the areas of the airfield. Soon, I discovered the information I sought.

The Bright Nation Merchant Union's Airfield is shown on the map. If my guess is correct, the air ship may have unloaded the goods there.

But I am unaware of my current location. I should have asked about the province's name. Then I took a wild guess before selecting a random location to visit.

An hour later,

A small town appeared in my view. My eyes flash with relief. As I approached, I noticed the name of the town on the Board.

I checked my outfit before heading there. I wore the same mask and adventurer suit. I hope this does not cause any problems.

Then I landed on the ground and began walking along the path. My eyes never left the town. The entire town is sleeping, with the exception of a few shops that have opened.

Soon, I arrived at the gate. An elderly man is working as a guard. Seeing that, I assumed it was a poor town.

"Helllo, mister. Do you need any help?" The elderly man opened his eyes before asking.

"I need a place to stay for a few hours.I am leaving early in the morning to go somewhere," I explained.

"Are you going to Arken City, as well?"

"There are a lot of adventurers who came earlier for the mega auction," the old man said without asking.

Hearing that, I smiled. I needed a reason to stay, and he provided one.

But I responded, "Is there an inn inside?"

The old man replied, "Yes, there are two inns that are open. You can go inside."

After nodding at him, I went inside. I took a casual look around while walking. There are plenty of medium-sized residential buildings.

The majority of them share a similar structure. After taking a look, I am thinking about Arken City. After I have found a room, I am going to check the map.

Shortly afterwards,

I reached the inn. The inn only has two floors. The structure was composed of stone and wood. Then I turned my gaze to the owner.

He is another elderly man taking a nap. I approached his desk and tapped the table.

"Hello, I need a room," I said.

"Another loser came to the auction," the old man muttered.

"One mid-grade mana stone per day," the old man said angrily.

Hearing that, I placed one medium-grade mana stone on the table. The old man accepted it before handing me the key.

"Second floor, first room," the elderly man stated before closing his eyes.

I was not offended by the elderly man's rude behavior. But his information caught my attention. Why is everyone talking about the auction? Was it good or bad?

I then grabbed the key before heading to the second floor.

After entering the room, I began to inspect it. There are no gadgets or magic items. I can confirm that it was a normal town.

Then I close the door before entering the Gregor Mansion.

The next morning,

After getting out of bed, I began my morning routine. My home is the Gregor Mansion. As a result, I had no reason to be concerned about assassination attempts.

Several minutes later

I chose to meditate. But my eyes flashed with confusion. Previously, there was a progression bar in Physique and Ability Stats, which allowed me to improve.

Despite reaching my limit, I was still able to improve thanks to both stats. But I am not sure if it will be the same today.

Then I decided to try it. I will not know until I try it.

I went into the hall and sat cross-legged on the ground to meditate. I closed my eyes and began practicing the mental method.

But soon after, I felt heart-wrenching pain. It was originating from the mana core. Then I immediately stopped using the mental method.

I opened my eyes the next moment, and a look of understanding washed over me. Now that all of my basic stats have reached their limit. Then, excessive practice will place a strain on the mana core.

With a thought, I called up the status panel.

Then I got up and went to take a bath.
