Chapter 14: – Knight’s Journey Program [1]
The meeting with Biozone Entertainment was scheduled for 9 A.M.
There were 2 hours left to reach New Eden City and arrive at Biozone Entertainment's headquarters to meet the person responsible for giving Max the details about the event program.
Normally, it was impossible, even with a modern car, to reach New Eden City, which was located two cities away from Lime City, in under two hours.
However, the story was different with Sky Rail.
As its name suggested, it was a train that used a rail built in the sky between the buildings for easier access to other cities.
The train used electricity and could reach more than 500 KM/h at full speed. And because the ticket Max got was for a VIP Sky Rail that didn't stop at any station and went straight for the station located near Biozone Entertainment's headquarters, it didn't even take 2 hours to reach his destination.
"Is this New Eden City?"
Max muttered as he walked downstairs from the floating station. He wore his best clothes: a white shirt and a tidy blue jacket with matching white and blue pants.
Unfortunately, as an orphan who had just graduated from high school, Max had no suit or a formal suit. He just picked the best outfit he had that looked presentable.
'Well, I am a streamer and not a businessman. Though I hope they won't get offended by my outfit. More importantly...' He raised his head and smiled wryly. 'I didn't arrive at the wrong place, right?'
The building in front of him stood tall, its sleek silhouette soaring into the sky. Its exterior was shimmering glass with a touch of futuristic features glistening against the sunlight.
Atop the skyscraper, proudly adorning its uppermost reaches, the Biozone Entertainment logo, a red bird around a green globe, gleamed. Max didn't arrive at the wrong building. The one in front of him was Biozone Entertainment's headquarters.
Max looked at his smartwatch, which showed 8:40 A.M. There were still 20 minutes before the appointment.

At first, he planned to show up on time.
If he showed up faster than scheduled, it would show his sincerity and show them that he was desperate for this deal. That would get him a smaller cut in negotiation. He also couldn't arrive late because they might think he looked down on them.
But that was now impossible because Sky Rail had a pretty strict departure and arrival schedule.
'Well, let's just show up first. I am still a newbie, after all. Showing my sincerity to Biozone Entertainment wouldn't really hurt me, as I only want that exposure from the program. The monetary contract they offer will only be a bonus. A big, fat bonus.'
Max walked toward the building with confidence. He had prepared the invitation email as proof of his identity. If he needed to, he could open it anytime.
The entrance door opened automatically when he got close. When he entered, he was greeted by a vast lobby with many places to relax.
He looked around for a little moment before approaching the receptionist's desk.
In the email, he was instructed to contact the receptionist so she could call the person responsible for the invitation.
"Excuse me."
Max called out to the beautiful receptionist behind the desk. She was wearing a neat suit and had an attractive appearance, with her dark hair tied into a bun.
"Yes. How can I help you?" The receptionist asked with a professional smile, charming, and she had a soft voice.
Not used to many girls in his life, due to his condition, Max got slightly fluttered for a second. But he calmed himself soon and coughed into his palm.
"I am here to meet Mr. Taka. I have got an invitation to discuss a program at 9 o'clock. Ah, my name is Breeze." He introduced himself calmly, trying to appear as professional as possible by using his streaming name instead of the real one.
But that might be too much, seeing the receptionist trying to hold back a giggle. She pretended to look at the screen before her and hid it with a smile.
"I have confirmed your appointment, Mr. Breeze. Please wait near that area." The receptionist lady pointed at the café connected to the lobby, "You can order a drink first. Of course, it's free. Mr. Taka will meet you soon."
"Thank you." Max smiled at the receptionist and went to the café.
'Everything is free, huh?' He thought as he arrived at the machine to take his order.
Before coming here, he had no breakfast because he needed to catch on the Sky Rail. And because the drink in this café was free, Max planned to use this chance to fill his stomach.
Unfortunately, there was no hard meal, which disappointed him slightly.
'This Hot Chocolate with Oats seems to be filling. I can probably eat this for breakfast and go by without food until evening.' He thought as he decided on his order and went to a corner with comfy seats.
The cheap thinking he gained after transmigrating made him smile just by thinking about free food.
It didn't take 3 minutes before what Max ordered was brought to him by a waiter—a steaming hot chocolate with oats floating inside. He didn't know whether it was because he was hungry or never had anything good before, but the smell had him salivating.
Max smiled at his choice. This cup of wonderful chocolate would definitely fill his stomach in the morning. But before he could even take a sip, a middle-aged man with glasses approached him.
"Are you Mr. Breeze, by any chance?"
The man asked with a friendly tone as he stretched his hand.
Max stood up and nodded, taking the handshake. He hid his disappointment for not being able to try the hot chocolate before meeting him with a friendly smile.
"That's correct, I am Breeze. And you're Mr. Taka, I assume?"
"Hahahaha, yes." Mr. Taka laughed and released Max's hand. He sat on the chair across from him and gestured, "Let's sit and talk about the invitation. I believe you have read about the plan, yes?"
Max sat down and nodded once again, "I have. I believe I am chosen as a candidate for one of the three newbie streamers."
The email only mentioned the plan and that Biozone Entertainment had planned to make the event. No formal contract or anything in the email said that Breeze would be chosen as one of the lucky streamers to join the program.
In other words, Max was here as a candidate and should understand his place.
Mr. Taka was happy that Max understood that. He nodded twice before opening a screen above the table.
"Indeed, Mr. Breeze." His grin widened after knowing that the streamer in front of him was young but not stupid. He chose the correct person. "Let's discuss the program and the deal, shall we?"
"Of course. I am thrilled to discuss this program with you, Mr. Taka." Max replied politely with a meaningful smile that hid his intention.
