Chapter 179: Slaughtering Jackals

Chapter 179: Slaughtering Jackals

"Can you do anything, Rebecca?" he asked. "This place is filled with ice. There must be something you can do!"

"Boom!"

As he talked, Rebecca used her katana to smash the jackals head in and blood gust out of its head like a fountain. However before it could reach the lady it turned into small red crystals and fell to the ground as if a barrier had come in front of them.

Rebecca turned towards Ayaan and looked at him with her big round blue eyes. "I can form a path in between these jackals, and we have to escape in that specific time."

"Great!" said Ayaan. "Let's do it."

"However after that my energy will be drained completely and won't have the energy to run." At the end of the sentence, her voice weakened as if feeling ashamed of her incompetence.

Though Ayaan wanted to hug her and comfort the lady. The time wasn't very ideal so he could just say whatever was in his mind. "I will carry you."

"Bang!"

When Rebecca was distracted a jackal sneaked up on her and was about to attack her when Isobel appeared from the side and blocked the attack. Rebecca turned around in shock and looked at Isobel.

"Thank you." She said, feeling grateful.

"Is there a need of "thank you" in-between sisters?" Isobel smiled and dashed in another direction, slaughtering another beast. The more she fought the more savage she became. There was no fear in her, only a single aim, to slaughter her enemies.

Rebecca smiled when she heard Isobe's reply and didn't speak any further and resumed her fight while talking with Ayaan. "Won't that slow everyone down?" she said worriedly.

"Thud!"

Ayaan blocked the beast and lunged at it with his sabre in his hand, and separated its head with 'Puchi!' sound. Only then he turned towards the lady to answer. "It could slow us, but won't be able to block once we have a path."

"Alright!" Rebecca didn't argue any further. The time was the essence and she knew that Ayaan would never leave her behind. She felt a sweet feeling in her heart, though.

"I need one minute to prepare," she said and closed her eyes.

"Protect her!" He shouted toward his companions. Then his eyes fell upon Leafwhisk who was covered in green colour. Her soft beautiful hands had turned into two sharp wooden swords. However the wooden swords cut those beasts like knife cut butter. It looked so easy and simple that Ayaan left agape. She moved gracefully from one beast to another.

Even in such an environment that was unsuitable for her, she could slaughter these beasts like pigs. Ayaan couldn't help but be impressed by her resourcefulness. She had lots of tricks up her sleeves.

"Watch out!" as he watched her slaughter these beasts, he saw a shadow sneaking from behind her. She was completely unaware of this lurker. Leafwhisk heard Ayaan's shout and twisted his body around and slashed at the sneaking jackal.

"Puchi!"

One of his wooden swords that were formed by her hand penetrated Jackal's neck while another went in its eyes. Blood bubbled out of its wounds and sprinkled around like a shower. Though due to her green barrier the blood could not reach her. Only then Ayaan looked at the green barrier in surprise, it was so thin almost invisible he didn't know what was its use.

Leafwhisk looked at him as if knowing his thoughts but she didn't have time to explain anything on the battlefield, her hands were tight at the moment after all. She was focused on fighting with the beast. Ayaan also knew the situation and didn't ask anything and focused on protecting Rebecca with everyone else.

As they fought the time passed, their breath became haggard and blood rolled on the ice bed of the Snow Lake, freezing and mending with ice. The corpses increased and scattered all about. The jackals attacked them even more frenziedly.

One minute. The one minute was nothing, but at this moment, it looked so long that Ayaan had the urge to curse in his fury. He had slaughtered ten jackals in this period, but only thirty seconds had passed. He looked at Rebecca and she still had her eyes closed. The white fog released from her body and her figure looked so damn beautiful at the moment. Akin to the immortal fairy from the legends.

He turned towards Isobel and saw her covered in blood and gore, and she had a vicious grin on her beautiful red lips. Ayaan couldn't help but chuckle, she found her very hot this moment as her crimson hair fluttered in the snow-wind all, as she moved her beautiful buttock around when she slaughtered the monsters one by one. Her curvaceous body made Ayaan's heart tremble and had the urge to go to bed.

"Fuck! What am I thinking at such a moment?" he cursed himself, but then stole one more look of the red-haired demoness and turned towards the last girl. He saw Noor's body flickering from one place to another.

Her every attack would kill a beast. Previously she could only teleport around ten meters, however, right now she could teleport around fifteen meters. Though fifteen looked small a distance, it was very crucial in a battle. Moreover she wasn't only teleporting far, but also fast. Before anyone would realise that there was a danger she would have already done her work.

He looked at her silky silver hair and her smooth skin, and her beautiful face, he felt he had to protect her, he turned towards everyone and thought he had to protect every one of them. "Stay at one palace, don't move!" Ayaan warned the two children and continued to battle while killing the beast that tried to sneak their way at Rebecca.

"HOWL!!"

At this moment a thunderous howl filled miles of the distance of the icy lake. The howl made everyone stop their fight and attracted everyone's gaze. The group looked in front of them and saw a jackal more than three times larger than these normal beasts. They looked like kids in front of this humongous monster.
