Chapter 129: Worried

Ryan looked at the security camera feed, he went through the entire day and night of every single camera but didn't see anything suspicious. Master Zhun, who had just entered the room spoke, "What happened? I heard you yelling at someone so I came in to check but you just look confused and concerned Did something happen to their mission?" He said with a small frown. 

Ryan looked at Master Zhun and shook his head. He closed the video feed and stood up, "Master Zhun, can you use your abilities to track Alex?" He looked very serious. Master Zhun Looked at Ryan with more confusion but he didn't question it, Ryan would explain slowly but the work given to him at this moment was more important from the looks of it. Master Zhun nodded and sat on the floor. Ryan smiled and waited for Mater Zhun to finish his tracking.

After a few minutes, Master Zhun opened his eyes with a confused gaze. He looked at Ryan and shook his head. Ryan, Who was already confused looked at Master Zhun in horror and exclaimed, "What?! Is he head? How did he die? What did you see, Master Zhun?" 

Master ZHun shook his head and sighed, "You're getting worried for no reason. I can see that he's not dead but like before when I was checking his powers, I saw nothing. It was just pitch dark Hell, I saw something before that pitch blank when I was checking his powers but now, I just see nothing. His powers are mysterious and don't let me look into him. So I guess He's safe That's all that we can assume. I didn't feel any bad intentions from him till now and I don't believe that Alex is the type that deceives people. The best way to know that is that Hana trusts him so much even from the first second she met him. I talked to her in private about Alex last night when she came to the office to talk about Midnight and Imani. She told me how she just trusted him but didn't want to say why she did so. Her powers are also like His but seem opposite in the way that they work so there must be some form of connection between them. So I do think that we shouldn't be too worried about him doing anything bad" Master Zhun then looked at Ryan.

"We should be worried about him being taken or being manipulated You never know these times, Awakened Powers are getting so much more sophisticated. New powers that are coming up seem more powerful and tricky than the one we got initially. Maybe some tricky powers had a hand in catching Alex or manipulating him. Maybe that mind control Whatever it might be, we can't rule out the possibility We've already lost many good awakened but we can't lose Alex as well If given time, I know that he can be as powerful if not, more powerful than Hana so losing Alex is not something I'm not willing to accept without a fight. Get together a small team to investigate the entire thing. Go through everything before saying that he is lost" Master Zhen then turned to the door and walked out of the room. He seemed to have a weird angry expression on his face. 

Ryan looked at Master Zhun in awe as he thought, 'I've never seen him get so riled up about someone getting lost I thought he had lost all his emotions with age and he was just someone who wanted to give up until his life ended but Master Zhun still cares a lot for us I'll need to get to the end of this as well, Alex could be an amazing asset to our country if trained properly so I can't just lose him.' He sat down and formed a small team of familiar faces. 

Midnight and Imani walked into the room with two other c Ranked awakened. Midnight, who seemed to be sleepy and confused asked, "What's with the hurry? It's was like 6 am when you called me and the others What's with the hurry so early morning?" Ryan looked at Midnight with a serious expression and asked, "I know that you like to sleep for a long time after a mission Especially a mission where you had to see such a horrid scene but did you notice something when getting out of the hotel when I called you?" 

Midnight thought back and nodded, "Well, I did see that Rachel was acting kind of odd I also expected to see Alex but I guess he took the break and slept without training early morning. Is there a problem?" She was curious. Remembering Back, Midnight saw Rachel act very worried about something but she didn't have time to ask her why Rachel was acting in such a way. 

Ryan nodded and turned to Imani, " After you informed me of what happened, Did your guards notice anything new? Anything that was weird? I told you to ask them about anything weird happening from last night till now so, did they find any lead? Even the minor things are good answers." Ryan asked with his stern expression. 

Imani nodded and answered," After being informed of the abnormalities and checking out the top floor myself, I went through the videotapes and the body cameras from the guards myself and found nothing" She seemed slightly worried as she spoke. 

Midnight looked at Imani with a worried expression and asked, "Alex is missing?!" Imani looked at Midnight and sighed, "We still don't know how or when it happened but It looks like Alex is missing. I wasn't mentally able to do anything because of the mission yesterday so I rested all night, I only heard the news when Rachel Called me to inform me that Alex wasn't training like normal. I thought it was weird at first but I had to check and I was equally shocked when I heard my guards tell me that Alex was missing"
