Chapter 26 - Sea Serpent's Secrets
"Excellent!"
After the agreement was settled, Klein Seymour offered, "How about I take Young Master Albion to fetch some proper clothes to wear? I should have some spare clothes in my accommodation room."
"I would very much appreciate that."
Albion accepted.
Shortly after, they headed back to the higher deck and reached the captain's room. There was not a wide range of spare clothes for Albion to choose from, but he was not picky.
So long as he got himself some proper pants to wear, he would be happy with it.
Klein Seymour's spare clothes were mainly all sailor clothes, and they were divided into two types: one for winter and one for summer.
Since Albion was not affected by the cold weather, he simply went with the standard white sailor pants and stripy blue singlet.
"There is also some spare underwear in this drawer if Young Master Albion is interested," Klein Seymour offered.
"Definitely not interested."
Albion's mouth twitched.
He would rather go freeballing and let the bags dangle then wear another man's used underwear.

"Hahaha…" Klein Seymour chuckled and said, "I figured that would be the case. Well then, if you will excuse me, I will go handle the business downstairs first."
"Un, by all means, go right ahead. That matter should be settled; the sooner, the better. I'll be in the wheelhouse if you need me." Albion nodded.
"Alright."
Shortly after Klein Seymour left to head back to freezer hold 2, Albion left the room and headed to the wheelhouse like he said he would.
"Y-Young Master Albion! Is there something you need here?" The pilot asked with a startling expression while steering the ship's wheel.
"No, don't mind me. I'm just here to have a look around. You can be at ease and continue to do what you need to do." Albion answered while casually observing the wheelhouse's interior.
"I see…" Said the pilot with his hands on the steering wheel, but he would sneak a glance to the side from time to time.
Albion spotted an ARPA (Automatic Radar Plotting Aid), Echo Sounder, LRTIS (Long-range tracking and identification system), Gyro Compass, and GPS Receiver, among various other navigation tools.
He shortly made his way over to the GPS Receiver and stared at the map displayed on the screen, which showed the ship's current location within the Ganymede Ocean.
'Hm? It seems we closer to land than I assumed. About 300 miles off the coast of the Asiana continent, Draco county. But how long will it take us to reach land?' Albion pondered.
"Actually, there is something you can help me with. The ship is headed for Silvercove Port, Draco county, I presumed?" He suddenly said to the pilot.
"Yes? I mean, yes." The pilot answered.
"How long will it take us to reach Silvercove Port?"
The pilot began reading the parameters on the navigation tools and did a quick mental arithmetic calculation.
Shortly after, he answered, "If we do not make any unexpected stops along the way and continue to travel at an average speed of 10 knots, we should be arriving at Silvercove Port in a little over 24 hours."
"I see, thanks." Albion thanked the pilot and went into quiet contemplation.
He heard that large ships could take up to 4 weeks to cross the Pacific Ocean in his past life. Considering the Pacific Ocean was basically the Ganymede Ocean, he was quite surprised to find out it will only take a day's time to return to land.
He figured it would take up to several days to a week at least, but that was not the case. He forgot to account for the fact that the sea serpent would not have stayed in the same location during the 25 months he was trapped inside of it.
Albion continued to stay within the wheelhouse and quietly watched the ocean waves outside through the glass windows without much thought as they brush against the cruising large factory trawler.
Sometime later, another person entered the wheelhouse.
"Captain!" The pilot immediately greeted upon noticing.
Klein Seymour nodded towards the pilot and took his steps inside. He was still the same Klein Seymour, but his aura has been changed, or rather… transformed? He appeared to be more confident.
"Congratulations on becoming a Hunter. It seems that all the EXP from the interdimensional creatures went to you, Mr. Klein. How's your hunter level?" Albion congratulated.
"Many thanks, Young Master Albion. This is all due to your kindness. I am now a Lv.3 Hunter with a bit of EXP shy from Lv.4." Klein Seymour smiled confidently. His confidence came from the rise in his strength.
Just like a person climbing up the social ladder, they will gain confidence that comes with the elevation in social status. But whether they will become great leaders or not was an entirely different matter.
However, Albion doubted what he had heard and asked, "You were only able to become a Lv.3 Hunter after all that?"
If he recalled, there were around 27 bodies of interdimensional creatures in the freezer hold along with various other large frozen mammals, reptiles, and fishes.
"Yes, that is correct. It is still nothing compared to Young Master Albion's level." Klein Seymour answered humbly.
'Goldfinger, what is going on here? If I recalled correctly, I received 100 EXP for the killing of the Lv.1 Sea Serpent. Shouldn't this person be at least Lv.12 after killing all 27 of those interdimensional creatures even if they were only Lv.1s?' Albion asked the system.
[That is incorrect, host. A Lv.1 Sea Serpent indeed gives 100 EXP, but Lv.1 interdimensional creatures only give 10 EXP apart from the 100 EXP reward for first kill achievement.]
Goldfinger answered his query.
'Why does sea serpents give so much EXP as compared to interdimensional creatures of the same level? What determines their level?'
Albion was confused.
[The calculation of EXP is based on how much energy they can provide for the host. As sea serpents are the byproduct of absorbing nuclear power, they contain much higher energy values as compared to ordinary interdimensional creatures. Levels are determined according to the average strength within the species.]
'I see, so that is how it is.' Albion nodded.
He began to understand the secrets behind the existence of sea serpents and their incredibly huge sizes. He recalled that humans used to perform numerous nuclear weapon testing underwater until the PTBT (Partial Test Ban Treaty) came into play.
The sea serpents mutated due to nuclear power exposure. Perhaps, they were only eels at some earlier point in time. He'd hate to imagine if other bigger fishes were exposed as well.
More importantly, Albion wondered if there were any side effects from absorbing the EXP of such nuclear-mutated creatures.
[The nuclear power has been refined by the system; thus, there are no side effects.]
Goldfinger stated, knowing what he was thinking.
Albion soon returned his attention to Klein Seymour and shook his head in response to the person's humbleness, "No, you are wrong. I am only a Lv.2 Hunter."
"Huh?" Klein Seymour was startled, and his eyes became wide as saucers as he asks, "How is that possible when Young Master Albion is so powerful? Are you also an ancient martial artist?"
Klein Seymour could not think of any other possibilities. After all, the gang leader was a Lv.7 Hunter but was still slapped to death by Young Master Albion.
Ancient martial artists were similar to cultivators; thus, Albion acknowledged, "That's right. I am indeed an ancient martial artist."
"That's incredible! Ancient martial arts are difficult to progress without real dedication and hard work. Young Master Albion is a real prodigy to possess such strength at a young age. Perhaps, Young Master Albion is already a Grandmaster? I wonder how you trained to become so strong."
"You want to know?" Albion gave a Klein Seymour a serious sideward glance.
Klein Seymour cupped his hands together, and humbly said, "If Young Master Albion is willing to teach, then I am most willing to learn."
"Alright, then listen up carefully." Albion began to whisper into Mr. Klein's ears, "Every day, you will need to do… 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, and run 10kms…"
Klein Seymour listened carefully, but after hearing the contents, he could only smile wryly with a shake of his head.
"....Young Master Albion sure knows how to jest."
