I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 301: The Twilight War

Chapter 301: The Twilight War

George fell to his knees and finally collasped in exhaustion. He had a wide smile on his face, slowly letting himself fall unconscious as his body laid on top of the fainted bodies of his opponents.

He eliminated eleven Champions all in all. The others that Hope didn't get to catch fought amongst themselves and then was taken as a target by George. To say that it was a match was a lie.

It was a one sided massacre all in the favor of George.

His movements inside the bubble were hands down one of the best they saw in the history of Bubble Mania. He could control his bubble without excess use of his hands or any part of his body.

"That man is crazy," Hope whispered to himself. The HP on George's bubble had run out by how hard he was smashing his bubble against his opponents. Like how Gina popped her bubble with her axe, George popped his by fighting too much.

Hope's bubble was popped by the staff not long after.

While he enjoyed his freedom, the unconscious Champions were taken to the infirmary where the healers did their jobs to replenish their HP and mana. Even when they were inside a what's supposed to be a protective bubble, the impact of the clashes would hit their heads hard, taking their HP down.

Hope was sitting on the chair beside George's bed in the infirmary. The rounds of the day had ended, and he was sent to watch over his unconscious partner. He sighed and waited for their guild mates to come so they could discharge George.

"These siblings are crazy," Ethan suddenly said behind Hope that made him jolt in surprise. "George and Gina. Different fathers, same craziness."

"So, they are siblings," Hope said. He glanced at the large woman sleeping a few beds away. "I just thought they have the same weird vibes. Turns out, they were related in blood. Weird."

"They're sick in the head," Ethan chuckled. "But they're all things except bad."

"Yeah. Mr. George is really kind," Hope agreed. "Though, sometimes he scares me because of his words. He sometimes sound like he wants to be hurt. Why would he want to be hurt? And when he does get hurt, he would smile and moan."

"You're too young," Ethan chuckled. "I'll wake him up. The others are going ahead first."

Hope pursed his lips at this. He looked around the room to see where the others are, realizing it was only Ethan who came. "Where is everybody?"

"They're going back to the inn first," Ethan said. "Miranda has new information for us to use, so we can't miss that. We'll come and follow them right now. Let's go."

"Yeah, let's go," Hope smiled and nodded.

"Tomorrow will be Connor's match, and in the final round, Elliot will be our participant," Frederick said to his team. While they waited for Miranda, he was discussing their tactics. "I don't know what they're going to do tomorrow for the round, but I'm sure Elliot will be in the final one."

"People wants to see the ones with the highest potential in each team fight against each other," Luck said. "The judges know this, and they will maximize their chances to gain more crowd using this."

"Yes, indeed. The final round will consist of the strongest ones in the team. Elliot, Kinglsey, Robert, and all the others," Frederick sighed. "But since we're going to have to deal with the Twilight Bless that same day, the judges will make amendments with the Champions."

"What kind of amendments?" Elliot scrunched his forehead and asked.

"They're going to delay the fight."

Everyone snapped their heads to Mirand who just walked inside the inn. She looked at everyone, glancing at the gems at every corner of the building and nodding in satisfaction. "Good quality gems. The one who fortified this building knows her stuff."

"But it's not really safe for phasing magic," Connor deadpannded after seeing Jameson pass through a wall. "We can block enemies from outside, but if they get inside, they're going to be as free as a bird."

"The purpose of these gems are to block the enemies from outside, what did you expect?" Miranda scoffed. "Anyway, here's what I have to say. We have received intel regarding the dark organization, Oracion Alma."

The boys had stopped talking and stared at the police woman, waiting for her to continue. "The Soul Traders seemed to have ceased to exist. There hasn't been any case of Soul Trading for the past week, something that's not really that surprising."

"Why isn't it surprising?" Elliot asked. "Is this the shortest one they're getting inactive?"

"No," Miranda sighed. She walked in front of them and placed both her hands on the wooden table. "They stopped the Soul Trading and is currently preparing for the Twilight War."

Miranda took a scroll from her backpack and laid it on the floor. "This is a recent copy of the scroll, but it's the most accurate one so far. This was given to Polschk by a mysterious man he met on Spice Islands not long ago."

"Polschk came to Spice Islands?" Elliot asked. "How come he didn't tell us?"

"He was the one who personally brought that prince here, of course he went there for a short amount of time," Miranda replied. "Anyway, this was the record or more like artwork."

Miranda opened the scroll and revealed a drawing inside. It was a drawing of three hands reaching out for a sphere that sat on top of a large stone coliseum. Inside it were six butterflies, flying inside the sphere in area of the sphere.

Perhaps it was because Elliot knew about the existence of the seventh Wing that he knows all too well that the scroll was unfinished. The space on the other side of the sphere had a small paint stain on it, meaning there was supposed to be something drawn there but they stopped.

Polschk was still hiding the seventh Wing, fully knowing that it would turn the tides agaisnt them. If his allies would know, they would panic and it will affect the performance of their task. And if the enemies would know, it would become harder for them.

When that happens, they would lose their main focus on just securing the Bless, but also avoid letting the enemies get the final one. Elliot had to keep this on his own. Another little secret for them to win in the end game.

"You probably know what this painting means," Miranda uttered. "The hands are our side, Oracion Alma, and the Fallen Angels. The butterflies are obviously the Twilight Wings, and the black vines and curves that reached up to the sphere are still unidentified."

"It's probably just for design," Frederick said. "But, what's up with this painting? We already know everything here."

"In the original scroll, the hands would shift from time to time," Miranda said. "We have determined that the right hand is for the Fallen Angels, the right one is for us, and the middle is for the Oracion Alma."

"What do you mean shift?" Frederick narrowed his eyes. "The painting would move?"

"Yes," Miranda answered plainly. "It's an ancient magic that would determine which group is getting closer to the Twilight Bless is."

"And we have the lead, right?" Frederick continued narrowing his eyes. "The lead from the other groups? We have the Twilight Wings, and we know about them and their every move."

"That's the reason why we're all stressing right now," Miranda said. "Yes, we have the lead considering we have more than them, but our lead isn't that far."

The door swung open with Hope, George, and Ethan walking inside. Miranda sighed in relief, nodding to herself and walked to the door. She lets the boys inside before she slammed the door shut and placed a sticky paper on it.

"Shh," Miranda shushed everyone that was about to say something. "This is an Eastern seal that will drive away the unwanted guests. If they want, they can send spying spying wards here. Powerful ones. But this Eastern protection seal will take off those spells."

Just when they were about to speak, Miranda continued, "You would think that the seal would just let the spy inside since it doesn't recognize it, but it's the other way around. The seal will not let anything inside for a few minutes because it doesn't recognize it. Eastern seals only know Eastern wards, but foreign ones are automatically blocked, and the ones inside will be eradicated. This is why I brought it here."

"But you talked a lot about what goes on in your department," Frederick snorted. "Isn't it a bit too late for that now?"

"Nope," Miranda grinned. "Because not everything I said was true."

"Cunning b*tch," Luck laughed, making everyone roll their eyes at him.

"*sshole," everyone else chorused.

Miranda shook her head and slammed her hands on the table to get everyone's attention, "Now let me tell you everything about the upcoming Twilight War."
