I like them big, do you?

Chapter 30: The Hero wants you in her guild

Chapter 30: The Hero wants you in her guild

It was odd to see both the white-haired guy and William Wannabe together.

Many players looked at them, and at least half of them clicked their tongues as these two were pretty handsome.

The players couldn't change their gender, and their looks were also just a little changed. It mainly was hair and skin color that changed... A different height would cause problems in both the game and real life.

And any other choices were similar.

Thus, Vis and Reylin had to be handsome in real life as well!

"Your stats have been on the roller coaster!" The Hero slowly ran up to Reylin, and her words revealed their party status.

Vis was a little surprised, and so were his teammates.

He glanced at Maya, whose nickname was Ferocious Bear.

However, no one would think of such a bear while looking at her. Her baby face and big black eyes made her look like a comic bear one would see during childhood...

The hero was cute; that was the truth.

He knew her abilities, but those abilities alone wouldn't make Reylin enter her party! Thus, that girl must be pretty astute or speak well.

Vis remained silent, peeking at the pyromaniac.

His teammates did the same, and this made the little gathering amusing for the outsiders. No one knew the background or the relationship between them all, but it was funny nonetheless...

"Do you see the woman with blood hair?" Reylin replied with a smile.

The Hero nodded; no more words needed! She realized Reylin had killed that woman, and she didn't ask more questions.

That small exchange made Vis nod, and he understood the relationship.

Maya said, "You still need treatment. My friend, Helpless Help, is a good healer. She was the first one to notify me about your status... Her problem is that she is a little too shy." After Maya chuckled, she brought Reylin to the hero's healer.

The healer raised her hand, and the pale green light enveloped Reylin.

She kept herself hidden behind Maya, but not for too much, as Helpless Help was the biggest girl out there!

"I am not going to bite you," Reylin said.

"I know..." Helpless Help sent a few side-glances at Reylin while tending to his wounds.

Of course, all she had to do was keep the mana flow constant and activate the skill.

It wasn't as easy as it sounded, and many new players often missed that, carelessly stopping their healing skills.

During that time, Vis inferred the situation.

The Hero's Party was quite well balanced, and she had her guild [The Hero Party] displayed next to her nickname. Every potential guild member would get scouted by them throughout their adventure.

Reylin was such a person, and Vis read that.

He smiled and looked at Maya, "You throw yourself in at the deep end, going for him... Are you from the Jolni Province or a different one? Well, it doesn't matter. Each kingdom doesn't like the guilds."

"Yes. Are you the guild master too?" Maya agreed, then asked Vis.

He shook his head, "I am not. I belong to the guild created by my older sister. It's called Common Supreme."

"You are right, though. No kingdom likes the concept of guilds. I have been looking out for more members in the beginner city, and I quickly had the guards take me away for some talk..." Maya joined her hands and swayed from side to side with a troubled expression.

That was because the experience with the royalty wasn't pleasant at all.

The King's advisor had asked her many questions, and Maya was often at a loss, replying flustered and weakly.

Those questions were too serious, all about power and status.

She was just sixteen years old, and her guild was made based on her Hero Class. All those players would soon understand that their kill count belonged to Maya, and disgust would bloom within their hearts.

The Guild would help her fix that problem.

Maya would have her guild members create the tournament to get merits and split rewards accordingly.

"The party limit is ten. I won't split rewards and exp with all those players, but the guild would fix the problem. It would make things much more exciting, wouldn't it?" She giggled, and her presence made others smile as well.

Even Reylin smiled, "The Kingdom is scared of that, however."

"Correct," Vis nodded.

"I really like this world. I will do my best to clear the dark matter across it and help its residents! Their worries are pointless..." Maya said.

"They don't know you. And anyone would prefer their own people to become the strongest, not the foreign entity. The Guild is like one big party with benefits, the chat and other functions that make the residents jealous," Reylin said.

He kept the silence for a little while others nodded in an understanding, "Well. You should aim to add the residents to your guild."

"That's not the option, unfortunately..." Maya looked down.

She had thought about it, but the option wasn't here, and just players could become the guild members. It was like the system tried to draw a clear gap between the residents and players.

Reylin chuckled, "So create it. Create an option to invite residents to the guild, and become a strong guild leader."

Many have heard about the players who had created their own abilities.

Maya heard about them as well, so her eyes rose, and she looked at Reylin with an assertive expression.

"I will do it!" Ferocious Bear said and crossed her arms.

The Hero was already strong, so that cool appearance was meant to be menacing! Alas, Maya made others smile at her faintly, their eyes warm!

She flinched, "Why do you all look at me as if I was your granddaughter?"

"G-Granddaughter! Haha!" Vis burst out laughing, covering his lips, "Granddaughter, she said! Haha!"

Maya's lower lips went up, and she turned her eyes to Reylin, "Why is he laughing so hard? Did I say something wrong? I think it was a fair comparison."

"It's a comparison you wouldn't hear in our circle. We come from different worlds." Reylin waved his hand, not meddling with these two.

The Hero ended up threatening the spear user with her sword, but Vis kept laughing until his stomach hurt.

Vis shared valuable information for Maya to appease her a little, "I know that there will be a friendly competition soon between the guilds chosen by the kingdoms. The three kingdoms will appoint three guilds each, and they will compete. This is nothing but a show. They want to see how far you will go for the kingdom."

"That's why that man said to do a lot of city quests!" Maya's eyes twinkled, and sudden understanding blessed her.

Vis nodded, "How is your recruitment going?"

"No particular players entered my eyes..." Maya replied quietly.

"That's the wrong approach. Just spread your guild's name on the forum alongside your abilities and get as many as possible... Many people would join to have some time with you and exp... Then, you will leverage them and get money to increase your guild skills. At the end, make harsh requirements, and kick the lazy. That's more or less my sister's approach."

"Oh... I wanted to have a lot of strong people from the beginning to have a smooth start," Maya replied.

"You never know. Normal players can always turn into heroes by just finding the unique class. They also can find more quests across the map and ask the guild for help... Oh, it doesn't look like we have time for some talk."

"Yes!"

At last, the second wave's leader emerged!

That was one big bear whose dark matter stretched out from its eyes to the back! His roar swept across the battlefield, and it caressed the hairs of every player on it! They felt it with their own bodies, and tension rose up!

"The second wave is your win, Reylin," Vis said, hurting the hero's feelings a little! "It's your leader."

Maya's heart quickly healed, and she looked at the white-haired man, "Why? Why don't you want to kill the second-wave leader?"

"It's all about the kill count, isn't it? Not the damage done. You can leverage it by using players, but that is just one entity. It's pointless to exercise," Vis explained.

"I got some items from the first leader, though." Maya chuckled and whispered.

"You heard her," Reylin smiled widely, his usual crazy smile, "It would be boring, just competing with the common players. You two follow me, and let's have some fair and square challenge."

He stressed the 'fair and square', then moved toward the leader with flames howling around his hand.

Vis was forced to follow Reylin. He told his teammates to have some fun and talk with the hero's teammates.

Maya did the same, and the two followed Reylin.

"Is your name Reylin? I think Reylin Flames would sound better..." Maya said, feeling much closer with the duo.

Her speech was friendlier, and she was a lady who naturally became closer with many people.

Reylin shrugged, "It's just a nickname. I didn't waste too much time on it."

"I see! Is it fine for me to use your name?" Maya asked, and after Reylin nodded, she added another question, "You heard about the guild competition! Will you join my guild for it? I don't ask you to become a permanent member."

Vis whistled from the side, "You are playing with fire, Ferocious Bear."

"I know I can't be the perfect hero. I might as well play with the fire!" Maya replied.

"And with this, you will have me on your team," Reylin liked that quote! "Just call me whenever that competition begins. I don't think you and your guild will be the one to miss it."

"I will work hard for it. It's all entertaining, you know?" Maya smiled widely, then the trio faced the second leader!

It was already bombarded by the skills from the normal players, and it was just a matter of time before it fell.

The third wave and its leader would be the real showtime!
