Chapter 246 James Bondham
"Don't worry, Alice," Dean Bruce said with a slight smile. "How could I possibly be afraid of this?"
Faced with the overwhelming presence of James Bondham, Dean Bruce showed no signs of fear. He took a deep breath, adjusting his magical energy to its optimal state, preparing for the battle that was about to unfold.
"James Bondham, another leader of the Black Hole Organization?" Dean Bruce said coldly. "Today will be your last day."
James Bondham laughed heartily. "Dean Bruce, you really are full of yourself. You think you can defeat me with just these people? How naive!"
With that, he waved his magic staff, and a powerful dark energy immediately began to swirl around him, sweeping toward Dean Bruce and his group.
"Everyone, be careful!" Dean Bruce shouted, casting a protective spell along with the others. However, James Bondham's attack was too fierce, and their defenses were quickly shattered.
"Hmph, is that all you've got?" James Bondham sneered. "It seems I overestimated you."
Dean Bruce gritted his teeth. He knew that going head-to-head with James Bondham wasn't an option. He had to find a way to outsmart him.
"Alice, do you remember the 'Two Tigers' spell I taught you?" Dean Bruce suddenly asked.
Alice was momentarily confused, unsure why Dean Bruce would bring it up now. But she nodded and replied, "Yes, I remember, Teacher Dean."
"Good. Now, cast it and see if you can disrupt James Bondham," Dean Bruce instructed.
Though Alice was still puzzled, she followed Dean Bruce's guidance and began chanting the "Two Tigers" incantation, making the corresponding gestures.
"Two Tigers, Two Tigers, running fast, running fast, one has no eyes, one has no tail, so strange, so strange."
As she recited the incantation and performed the actions, a strange energy began to spread through the air. James Bondham's gaze grew unfocused, as if something was drawing his attention.
"What is this nonsense?" James Bondham frowned, looking at Alice with confusion.

Seeing this, Dean Bruce's heart lifted with hope. He knew that his plan had worked. He immediately waved his wand and launched an attack at James Bondham.
"Light's Judgment!" Dean Bruce shouted, and a brilliant beam of light shot out from his wand, heading straight for James Bondham.
Although James Bondham had been momentarily distracted by the "Two Tigers" spell, he quickly regained his composure. He waved his staff, and a Dark Barrier immediately formed in front of him, blocking Dean Bruce's attack.
"Hmph, is that all you've got? You think some trivial tricks can defeat me?" James Bondham sneered. "Dean Bruce, you're still too inexperienced."
Dean Bruce didn't let himself be discouraged. He knew this attack was just a test. He raised his wand once again, preparing to unleash a more powerful strike.
However, just at that moment, a familiar voice suddenly rang in his ears.
"Teacher Dean, let me help you!"
Dean Bruce turned his head and saw Prolo Hawthorne had somehow already charged to the front of James Bondham, now fiercely battling him with his magic staff.
"Prolo, be careful!" Dean Bruce shouted.
Prolo Hawthorne turned back and smiled at Dean Bruce. "Don't worry, Teacher Dean. I'll be fine."
With that, he raised his staff again, and a powerful beam of light shot toward James Bondham. James Bondham, not daring to underestimate the attack, quickly swung his staff to defend.
Seeing this, Dean Bruce seized the opportunity and launched another attack. This time, he didn't rely on a single spell but combined several magic incantations into a powerful composite magical assault.
"Lightning Storm!" Dean Bruce shouted, and the combined magic flared with dazzling light as it surged toward James Bondham.
James Bondham's expression finally became serious. He realized that Dean Bruce's attack was no trivial matter. He put all his effort into swinging his staff, attempting to block the powerful strike.
However, he had underestimated Dean Bruce's strength. The composite magical assault tore through his Dark Barrier in an instant, striking him with a tremendous force.
"Ah!" James Bondham screamed as he was sent flying backward, crashing hard into the ground.
Seeing this, Dean Bruce and the others rushed forward and surrounded James Bondham.
"James Bondham, your end has come," Dean Bruce said coldly.
James Bondham struggled to get up, his body covered in wounds, his eyes filled with disbelief and despair.
"What was that magic you just used?" James Bondham asked, his tone full of curiosity. "I've never heard of it before."
His voice was laced with confusion and reluctance. He stared hard at Dean Bruce, trying to find an answer in his expression.
Dean Bruce smiled slightly, a glint of mockery flashing in his eyes. "James, sometimes the truth can be even more surprising than magic itself. But since you want to know, I'll tell you."
He paused for a moment, drawing out the suspense, before slowly continuing, "That spell, actually, I made it up."
"What?" James Bondham froze, unable to believe his ears. "You... you made it up?"
Dean Bruce nodded. "That's right, I made it up. But, I have to admit, it seems to have worked pretty well, don't you think?"
The surrounding students and Magicians couldn't help but smile at the unexpected turn of events. They hadn't imagined that Dean Bruce would take such an unconventional approach to deal with such a powerful enemy.
James Bondham's face turned ashen with fury. Grinding his teeth, he snarled, "Dean Bruce, how dare you mock me!"
"So what?" Dean Bruce sneered. "You've done far too many evil deeds. Today, this is your end."
With that, he raised his staff once again, preparing for his final strike. But at that moment, a mysterious voice suddenly rang out.
"Stop!"
Everyone turned toward the voice, and they saw a figure in a black robe who had mysteriously appeared on the battlefield. The figure radiated an overwhelming aura, one that made everyone present feel an immense pressure.
"Who are you?" Dean Bruce asked warily.
The mysterious figure slowly removed his hood, revealing an old, imposing face. It was none other than the president of the Magic Guild—Tia Nars.
"Dean, stop," Tia Nars said calmly. "James Bondham has already been cornered. There's no need to finish him off."
Dean Bruce frowned. "President, he is one of the leaders of the Black Hole Organization. We can't just let him go."
Tia Nars shook his head. "The Black Hole Organization has already fallen. James Bondham has lost all his power. Killing him now would benefit us in no way. In fact, if we capture him alive, we might gain more intelligence about the Black Hole Organization from him."
Dean Bruce hesitated. He knew Tia Nars was right, but thinking about the evil deeds James Bondham had committed made him want to see him wiped out completely.
"But..." Dean Bruce began to protest, only to be interrupted by Tia Nars.
"No buts, Dean," Tia Nars said firmly. "We are Magicians, not executioners. We are meant to use wisdom and power to protect this world, not to solve problems with violence."
Dean Bruce paused for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, President, I'll follow your lead."
With that, he lowered his staff, signaling for the others to cease their attacks. James Bondham, seeing this, felt a fleeting sense of relief, thinking he had escaped death. However, when he met Tia Nars's cold gaze, a shiver ran down his spine.
"Take him away," Tia Nars ordered his subordinates. "We need to interrogate him properly and see what more he can reveal about the Black Hole Organization."
The subordinates nodded in unison, moving forward to apprehend James Bondham. Dean Bruce watched them take James Bondham away, deep in thought about the plans that lay ahead.
"Dean, what should we do next?" Prolo Hawthorne walked over and asked.
Dean Bruce thought for a moment before responding, "Although the primary threat from the Black Hole Organization has been eliminated, we must not let our guard down. Our next steps should be to strengthen the academy's defenses and remain vigilant, while continuing to investigate any remaining factions that might be out there."
"Understood, Dean," Prolo Hawthorne replied, then began making arrangements for the necessary tasks.
Dean Bruce then turned to Alice. "Alice, you've worked hard. It's thanks to you revealing the truth to me in time that we were able to defeat James Bondham so smoothly."
Alice lowered her head, feeling a little embarrassed. "Dean, I should be the one thanking you. If you hadn't believed in me and given me a chance, I might have already been under Elvis Donimo's control."
Dean Bruce smiled and patted Alice on the shoulder. "Don't say that, Alice. You're a talented Magician, and I believe you will become one of the best in the magical world in the future."
Upon hearing that, Alice's eyes sparkled with determination. "Thank you, Dean. I will work hard and make sure I don't let you down."
Dean Bruce smiled and nodded, his gaze sweeping over everyone present, feeling a surge of emotion. After all the battles and trials they had faced, they hadn't just defeated the remnants of the Black Hole Organization, but had become even more united and stronger.
