I woke up as the Villainous Empress

Chapter 80

80 Vicious for Villains.

“Yang Ning, come to the backyard. We will talk there.” Yang Luoyang said while looking at Yang Ning with his darkened gaze. His darkened expressions and ragings gaze were enough to send shivers down one spine.

His deep voice was low and clear but his authoritative tone was showing that he wasn’t calling her to the backyard for something good or to have a conversation with her.

He was already frustrated by the fact that Yang Ning went to the brothel with Zheng Liang without anyone knowing and put his reputation in front of His Majesty at risk because of her shameless actions.

Zheng Liang’s provocation only added oil to the fire and made him realize that Yang Ning needs a good beating for her to come to her senses.

Chang Ah, who was standing behind him, could also feel the dark aura coming from Yang Luoyang.

At this moment, she was also feeling scared of him and shut her mouth at once when he raised his hand to stop her from speaking.

However, she was pleased since she was aware that the reason behind his anger is none other than Yang Ning.

‘So Yang Ning has been coming from the royal palace. Hmm! No doubt Yang Luoyang was so angry when he returned from the palace.’

‘Something must have happened at the Royal Palace.’ Chang Ah sensed that something must have happened at the royal palace that she doesn’t know about.

.....

She clasped her hands in front of her tightly in excitement and smirked slyly as she waited for Yang Ning to cry for forgiveness in front of them.

However, the moment that she was waiting for, never came. Rather than crying for Yang Luoyang’s forgiveness or showing any signs of submission in front of him, Yang Ning smiled at everyone before setting her gaze on Yang Luoyang and saying, ” Father, pardon me for my impoliteness, however, I have to deny this order for now.”

She was speaking politely but her words were bold and were showing her stance against Yang Luoyang’s authority in the household.

Yang Luoyang clenched his fists in rage to see Yang Ning’s brazen behavior. “What? What did you say?” He asked with a hint of ridiculing in his tone.

He couldn’t believe his ears that Yang Ning said ‘No’ to his order.

Did she just say that she has to ‘deny’ his order? Does she think that she has any say in it?

Since when did this girl become bold enough to speak in front of him, forget about denying his orders? He wondered.

While Yang Luoyang was wondering where he went easy on this girl for her to become like this, Yang Ning never removed her gaze from him and kept looking straight into his eyes as if challenging his authority.

She will never lose to this bastard. Never! She promised Yang Ning in her heart and continued to protect her and Yang Ning’s dignity in front of everyone.

Thanks to Yang Ning’s painful memories, she found out how disgusting Yang Luoyang can be. That man was worse than she had imagined him to be.

He not only used Yang Ning as his tool to climb up the ladder of power in the royal court, he even used to abuse her when she was young.

When she was young, even for the tiniest mistake, he used to punish her brutally and even beat her at times.

Not letting her eat anything and drink water for the whole night and day, forcing her to stay outside the house during rain and snowfall as a punishment to discipline her was a norm to him.

He is worse than Chang Ah because she is Yang Ning’s stepmother who doesn’t share a single drop of blood with her but he is Yang Ning’s father who should take care of her and pamper her and not torment her.

No doubt Yang Ning was so scared of him and never stood against his manipulations since she was living a life of fear and trauma even after she married Zheng Liang.

She followed Yang Luoyang’s instructions even after getting married to Zheng Liang and gave all of his information to her father, which only made the Crown Prince hate her even more and regard her as an ally of Yang Luoyang.

How can she not feel bad for Yang Ning even after finding out about what she went through in life? Remembering those memories was so tortuous and heartbreaking for her as if she was living the life that Yang Ning went through in her childhood.

She doesn’t know when she will be able to put everything in its place and will find her way back to her world, but before going back, she wanted to do something for Yang Ning, and standing against the power of Yang Luoyang will be the first gift of hers for her.

From the fake but vulnerable Villainess of the novel, she needs to buck up her game and become the villainess of her enemies’ lives.

To fight against her enemies who are too powerful than her, she needed to make herself determined enough to not lower herself in front of them.

Never.

___

Yang Luoyang gritted his teeth when rather than trembling in fear and lowering her eyes in front of him, Yang Ning was looking straight into his eyes as if challenging him.

” Xing Bao, come and drag the Young Lady to the Backyard. Also, get the thing that I asked you to bring from the storage.” Rather than giving empty threats, Yang Luoyang ordered Xing Bao to drag Yang Ning to the backyard as if she is reluctant to walk there herself.

If she doesn’t want to obey him, then he has his ways to make her obey him.

“Yes, My Lord.” Xing Bao merrily answered him and stepped forward to drag Yang Ning to the backyard.

Since His Highness is not here, why would she fear Yang Ning anymore?

Yang Ning didn’t flinch at Yang Luoyang’s words but Xiaowei was scared for her lady’s safety.

Her lady is already hurt and if she were to get punished in this state, she was worried that her condition would only become worse.

“My Lord, I beg in front of you. Please forgive My Lady. She didn’t do anything wrong.” Xiaowei went on her knees and begged him to pardon her lady and punish her instead.

“If someone should be punished, it should be me. I was the one at fault for bringing my lady out of the household. Please punish me instead, My lord.” Xiaowei wept miserably but Yang Luoyang chortled at her pleading to him for Yang Ning’s sake and kicked Xiaowei who was kneeling on the ground.

” Do you think you will be spared from getting punished? Along with your lady, you will be punished tonight as well. A servant like you should stay within her limits, how dare you speak up for your lady in front of me?”

Yang Ning, who was standing there calmly, clenched her fists in fury when Yang Luoyang kicked Xiaowei and she fell to the ground.

Her smiling eyes were now filled with rage and fury. He shouldn’t have touched Xiaowei. He shouldn’t have done that.

” Lady Yang Ning, Please don’t make things difficult for me and walk to the backyard yourself. Otherwise, I will have to ask the Guards for help.” Xing Bao said as she stepped forward to take Yang Ning to the backyard for her to get her punishment.

Yang Ning gritted her teeth and looked at Xing Bao, who approached her to drag her to the backyard with a frown. Before Xing Bai’s hands could touch her, Yang Ning grabbed her hand and snapped her wrist and stayed like this for a few moments.

Xing Bao was caught off guard by Yang Ning’s attack and yelped in pain, ” Ahh! Are you crazy? What are you doing?”

” You bitch! Leave my hand.” Xing Bao shrieked in pain, forgetting all titles and courtesies when her hand was on the verge of breaking.

Yang Luoyang was surprised when Yang Ning suddenly twisted Xing Bao’s wrist, meanwhile, Chang Ah was panicking to see her maid crying out like a mad woman and swearing at Yang Ning in front of everyone.

She was furious at Yang Ning’s unexpected attack, but she was also troubled that Yang Ning might use this behavior of Xing Bao against her later on.

” Yang Ning! What are you doing? Leave her hand right away. Are you trying to pick a fight with me?” Yang Luoyang bellowed at his brazen daughter who was acting like a maniac.

Yang Ning smirked at everyone panicking and chuckled at the way Xing Bao was wiggling in pain and crying hysterically while struggling to release her wrist from her grip.

” Aiya, I am so sorry. I was so scared that rather than holding onto your hand, I mistakenly twisted it. Are you alright?” She finally released her grip over Xing Bao’s wrist and showed her fake concern.

Xing Bao stepped a few steps away from Yang Ning as she was worried that she might attack her again.

Those few seconds were the most agonizing seconds of her life. It felt as if she almost broke her wrist.

While Xing Bao was checking if her hand was alright or not, Yang Luoyang glared at Yang Ning and roared at her, ” Do you think you can avoid getting punished tonight by doing this? Guards! Come and grab her.” Yang Luoyang ordered the guards to take Yang Ning away.

If she isn’t listening to him like this, then he will have to use harsh ways to teach her a lesson. The guards moved in action and as they were about to come close to Yang Ning, an unfamiliar voice interrupted them in action.

“Lady Yang Ning, is there something wrong?”
