I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History

Chapter 472

Chapter 472

472

“This is the place, right? A handkerchief shop with embroidered traditional designs from Coil Country?”

The man started to make fun of the store.

Next to him, a woman wearing thick makeup snickered.

Neither of them were young people. They were adults. And yet, they were talking in such an agitating manner.

It was embarrassing to watch.

“Yes, it is. We make them with designs from Coil Country.”

The owner said this in a calm tone, undaunted by the rude customer.

Gilles stared at the man and woman next to him.

Of course. They were the type of people Gilles hated the most.

But then again, it was designed in Coil Country. So that’s why I thought it was so unique.

It was a wonderful opportunity to experience the culture of a country different from my own.

“So you’re saying it’s just a patchwork.”

Did this man visit this store just to make fun of it?

The way he spoke so arrogantly irritated me a little as well.

“No.”

“Isabella.”

Just as the girl was about to protest, the owner called her name and stopped her.

I guess that means the owner dealt with rude customers like this.

“I am impressed by their beautiful culture, and I have embraced it.”

“Oh? With whose permission did you get to decide that?”

They didn’t need permission.

What’s wrong with someone who was exposed to a different culture, found it fascinating, and brought it back to the Duelkis Kingdom?

I knew it wasn’t my place to say this, but I almost shouted at them.

That’s how much their attitude annoyed me.

“These handkerchiefs of yours won’t sell in this town.”

That’s not for you to decide, you know.

I rebelled against them in my heart.

I authorize it, shopkeeper. You can beat that man to a pulp.

“Everyone in town is talking about it, you know. That there is a store that abandoned Duelkis Kingdom.”

With a sneer, he took a nearby handkerchief. It was a pale orange cloth with a strange pattern carefully embroidered in navy blue.

“I’m kind, so I came all the way here to tell you something important. …something like this.”

Saying that, he dropped the handkerchief he was holding onto the ground and stepped on it as hard as he could.

The lovely handkerchief instantly became covered in mud.

Isabella stared at the handkerchief with teary eyes. The shopkeeper also wrinkled his brow.

Gilles was about to step forward in anger, but I stopped him with my right hand in front of him.

Why didn’t she just talk back to him? Was it because of their position that they couldn’t say anything?

Didn’t they teach people in their household not to abuse their wealth and power?

If that was the case, I’d want to smack them with my fists as hard as I could, but that would not be the action of a Villainess.

I should not bare such emotions and show my temper. I must be noble.

I smiled at them, hiding my anger.

“Are you people supposed to be nobles?”
