I'm Very Happy After Marrying the CEO Husband According to the Agreement

Chapter 35: She won’t like Shen Xiuran

Chapter 35

Shen Tang returned to the crew and received care and concern from everyone, including the staff, who sent her many small gifts.

In fact, when she first arrived, many people objected to her joining the cast due to her previous reputation.

Fortunately, after working together for a while, everyone's opinion of her changed after getting to know her.

Director Huo looked closely at Shen Tang's face and saw that the wound was very faint and could be covered with makeup, which made him feel relieved.

Shen Tang was a little nervous. "Don't worry, Director, the wound is no problem."

"Okay, get ready. We start shooting tonight."

"Got it!"

Shen Xiuran walked over. "Congratulations."

Shen Tang smiled. "Thank you."

Shen Tang noticed the third female lead was replaced by another girl. She was very cute with a little pear vortex on her cheek.

When the girl saw Shen Tang, her eyes shone brightly. "Sister Tangtang, can I call you that?"

"Sure."

Hearing Shen Tang agree, the girl's mouth turned up in a huge smile.

"Sister Tangtang, I'm your fan. My name is Xu Jiaojiao. Can you...sign an autograph for me?"

As she spoke, the girl took out a notebook.

Shen Tang took the pen but noticed the notebook only had blank pages so she didn't sign it right away.

She raised an eyebrow. "Don't you have any other paper?"

"No. What's wrong with this paper?"

Shen Tang looked at her steadily. Her eyes were clear and innocent as if she really didn't understand.

As a public figure, could she really not know?

Still, it was best to be cautious.

Shen Tang explained it to her and the girl's face immediately turned red.

She stuck out her tongue. "Sorry, Sister Tangtang. I don't really understand this stuff."

"It's alright. So what do you like about me anyway?"

Xu Jiaojiao whispered in a tiny voice, "Your face. I'm a fan of your looks."

Saying so, she glanced at Shen Tang's face again before lowering her reddened face.

Shen Tang thought her face was good-looking but not to the extent of charming everyone.

Still, it wasn't strange for some people to like her looks, since she also liked watching pretty young ladies.

The two quickly became familiar with each other. Jiaojiao followed Shen Tang everywhere like a stalker.

Even the crew joked that Shen Tang had gained a little fangirl.

Shen Tang neither confirmed nor denied it, while Jiaojiao would blush.

One night they were shooting a night scene and got caught in a downpour before they finished.

Shen Tang returned to her room drenched and had just finished bathing when someone knocked on her door.

Shen Tang opened it to find Jiaojiao holding a pillow.

"It's so late. What's the matter?"

Jiaojiao hesitated. "Sister Tangtang, can I sleep with you tonight?"

Seeing Shen Tang didn't react, Jiaojiao's eyes reddened slightly. "I've been scared of thunder since I was little. Here, besides you, I don't know anyone else. Never mind if it's inconvenient."

Shen Tang stepped aside. "It's no trouble. Come on in."

Seeing Jiaojiao enter, Shen Tang closed the door, her gaze slightly meaningful.

Shen Tang had wanted to see what she was up to but Jiaojiao simply went to sleep.

At some point, Shen Tang fell asleep too.

She had sweet dreams all night.

The next morning when Shen Tang woke up, Jiaojiao was no longer in the room.

There was a sticky note on the table that said, "Thanks Sister Tangtang for putting me up. I didn't know what you like to eat so I just bought some random stuff."

Shen Tang looked at the breakfast - it was quite abundant and most were foods she enjoyed.

It looked like the girl had done her homework.

Shen Tang didn't know what Jiaojiao's motives were, whether good or bad, so for now she decided to be vigilant.

When Shen Tang got to the set, Jiaojiao was in the middle of shooting a scene.

Her skills were much better than the previous third female lead, Li Xing's.

Looking at Jiaojiao's innocent face, Shen Tang couldn't help but wonder if she was overthinking things.

Soon Jiaojiao finished and came trotting over.

"Sister Tangtang, how did I do?" She held her head high like a little peacock waiting to be praised.

"Very good."

What Shen Tang said was the truth.

Jiaojiao smiled from ear to ear.

After that, Shen Tang worked overtime shooting scenes and didn't have time to think about irrelevant things.

Jiaojiao didn't do anything out of the ordinary which also caused Shen Tang to gradually lower her guard.

It was just that every time it rained, Jiaojiao would come over to sleep and hug Shen Tang tightly at night.

Shen Tang suspected the girl wanted to strangle her.

One day as Shen Tang went downstairs, she suddenly heard noisy voices.

Following the sound, she discovered a man criticizing a girl.

"Can you do your job or not? If not, get lost!"

"Do you know these clothes have to be used every day? You ruined them and still have the nerve to cry?"

"I can't believe you! All you know is cry. Can't you open your mouth and say a word?"

The girl cried piteously, her eyes red: "Sorry, sorry..."

"It really wasn't me. It was already damaged when I got here..."

Shen Tang took a look at the clothes and surprisingly it was her costume, torn with a big hole.

Judging by the edges, it looked like it was cut by something sharp.

Shen Tang couldn't help speculating - was this targeted at the girl or herself?

"Is there no surveillance nearby?"

The man sighed. "Only the hallway has cameras, not inside the rooms."

Shen Tang nodded.

She looked at the girl who was sobbing uncontrollably, pitiful as can be.

"Stop crying. It's no big deal. It can be patched up."

The girl choked out, "How to patch?"

"Let me do it. Got any needle and thread?"

"Yes!" The girl hurried to grab some.

The tear wasn't too big so with some simple stitching it should be alright.

Shen Tang's needlework skills weren't bad. She patched up the costume in no time.

"It should be passable now."

It was difficult to notice anything amiss on the black garment without scrutiny.

The girl looked timidly at the man. "Brother Chen, is this okay?"

Brother Chen waved his hand. "Should be fine. As long as filming isn't delayed."

Delaying the production schedule by one day would cost the production team a lot more money.

"Be more careful from now on. One more mistake and you can pack up and go home."

"Got it!"

After Brother Chen left, the girl breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you so much, Sister Tangtang. If not for you, I would've been fired."

"Just be careful from now on." Shen Tang didn't bother finding out who exactly damaged the clothes. After all, the tear wasn't big and it wasn't that serious an issue.

If she made a big fuss out of a small matter, it would only make her seem petty.

The girl nodded vigorously. She didn't dare make any more mistakes again. This job didn't come easy and she couldn't lose it.

Still, in the days that followed, Shen Tang paid more attention to things going on around her.

And she discovered something amusing.

Whenever she had scenes with Shen Xiuran, the look in Jiaojiao's eyes would be somewhat complicated.

Shen Tang wondered if it was possible she had a crush on Shen Xiuran!
