Chapter 82: Dog, Raja, Stars and Void

Chapter 82: Dog, Raja, Stars and Void

It came off as a shock to the knights and disciples when the leader of those monsters shook the hand of the legendary serial killer and simply...Left. So did his subordinates, and everyone was left to think of what had just happened.

Given how the man-eater was still reeling from what the man had told her, that hand shake carried a lot more meaning than everyone thought. However there was someone who successfully guessed what had just happened. He pulled apart the disciples of his sect and whispered to them.

"I think the man-eater signed off a deal with those monsters !"

His fellow disciples looked at him like he had grown a second head, until they realized that it made sense. The fight was brutal and the two fought like old enemies, but the fight ended so...Softly. As though they weren't even fighting to begin with.

Biyu was standing still, looking at her palm as a new symbol appeared. The one on her forehead had disappeared when the leader shook her hand, but she hadn't even noticed it. She was too focused on that new symbol. It looked like a symbol she had seen a little much in her life. Three clawed paws, except this tattoo had an H in it. She figured it stood for Honorary since she wasn't technically a real agent of their organisation, whatever it may be.

She didn't know why she accepted, she didn't even know what she was supposed to do. The man simply left when she accepted his proposition and said she would hear from her new partners really soon. He also said her decision would greatly benefit Jian, but she couldn't figure out why the man had said that.

The leader had pointed out that Jian wouldn't come to know about this deal, so how could this benefit him ? Would they help him in the shadows in exchange for her favours ?

At least the man had been sensible enough to leave her with a name, his name...Or rather his codename. Agent Rafflesia. What an odd name. He had that look on his face when he said it, as if she was supposed to recognize that name, but she obviously didn't.

Maybe she should do some researches on that name. Rafflesia, it sounded like a girl's name, but from other continents. She reckoned it could be a known name from where that kid Vehr came.

But at the moment she had other things to do than to wonder what the name of the man was supposed to mean. She had to enter those tunnels. Fortunately for her, she had studied the whole mansion when she spied on her family. She didn't know all the entrances to the tunnels, but she knew some. Three of those were impossible to reach at the moment, except if she could somehow move tons of rocks.

There was one entrance however that she could reach easily. It was located in an insanely small alley behind an inn. The alley was there only for this purpose. It wasn't on any maps of the capital, just like all the secret entrances to any of the nobles' compounds.

She quickly left just in case the Su family had decided to leave in a hurry when the fight had stopped. The knights and disciples looked like they were too scared to say anything to her anyway. Then again she did show her true nature during that fight....It was a damn waste that she couldn't eat that man. He certainly tasted good.

At least that's what she thought as she licked her lips while entering the small alley. At the end of it, she was met with a metal trapdoor that lead underground. However she stopped before opening it.

"They...Gone...I think....It's risky."

She heard many people talking. Some were panicked, others were angry and one sounded overly confident. The trapdoor suddenly started to open and Biyu was about to hide, when she saw that it didn't open fully.

"Are you crazy ?!" She heard a woman yell that. If she recognized the voice, that would be her sister, Su Ai....How weird it was to think of that. She had a sister...Hell she had a whole damn family.

And actually, why was she even hiding from them ? It was maybe time for a good old....Family reunion.

Biyu steeled her nerves and stood in front of the trapdoor, waiting for it to open as droplets of sweat accumulated on her forehead. She was trying her best to appear sure of herself, but she wasn't. She still had that doubt in her mind, that maybe this actually wasn't her family.

Of course even if it was her family, they couldn't recognize her and they wouldn't believe that she is who she claims to be. She also had no proofs of her claims, no memories associated to that family. Or at least, that was the case before she met Jian.

After she saw her family that fateful day when she infiltrated their compound.....A memory came back to her. One that could perhaps convince them.

Then again, all those complicated feelings of hers didn't change the fact that she was a serial killer.

' I will force them to come with me If I have to. I am not leaving this kingdom without a family. '

The trapdoor opened and she was met with a face....A face that she never thought she would see again. A face that shouldn't be there.

".....Master ?" She asked in shock. The man who had just opened the trapdoor, a man younger than her with auburn hair and pink eyes, appeared confused for a few seconds until he bursted into laughter.

"Hhahahah ! What did I say ?! This is a good day, how are you doing dog ?!"

(With Uma )

She couldn't believe what she was doing during those troubled times. She was once doing everything necessary to survive, she was once a true nightmare to everyone she met. And now...And now...She was no more than some sort of exotic pet the Queen was showing to people all around the immense royal palace.

At that moment, she was just like a dog. There wasn't any leash, but there might as well have been one. She was still quite happy though. Her relationship witht he Queen was so good she could consider her job done. She was supposed to get into the good graces of various nobles and now the Queen was in her pocket. Sure the whole thing with the third prince was a huge waste since he was now being healed after Biyu attacked him, but she was still happy.

Actually it wasn't even a problem, since Biyu revealed to Uma after she stole the prizes that the third prince had allowed her to take it. He had even helped her open the box that contained said prizes. When asked why he did that, Biyu simply quoted him.

" It's an investment. I might not be the smartest of the bunch. But I can be proud in my information network. Because I know that the snakes never look away from their allies when they are in need, and I think with this...I might as well be counted as one of your associates."

And he was damn right. The sons of Raja would never look away from their allies, it was already hard to get allies, so losing them was a heresy.

All in all, Uma could safely say the Peizhi Kingdom wouldn't do anything against them and they could even count of them to support....Jian's order. He really needed to find this order a name.

Even the Queen had commented on how weird it was to have an order without a name and they couldn't just call it the Crow's Order. Actually they could, but it would be bizarre....Maybe even a bit arrogant.

However the Queen already found that idea laughable so her views on the matter weren't really needed. To her, and to the many who knew who the Crow was, this was all child's play. Jian could play with his secret identity all he wanted, they knew the truth anyway. And as long as the Crow remained a secret to some people, Jian would be content, but Uma was till stressed by this ordeal.

Creating an order and managing it wasn't the same as creating a clan. An order sounded much more threatening, especially an order that wasn't affiliated to any country.

If Jian didn't want to get on some countries' black list, he needed to strenghen his order and as quick as possible. She would need to train him the next time they could see each other without something bad happening right after. When everything went back to normal, or at least when things would get calmer, she would help him cultivate. With that little soul heritage of his, things would go much faster.

He also needed to learn to master his Kishin's powers, whatever those powers even were, he couldn't look past them. They were such an advantage, Uma wondered why she had never heard of those.

Sadly this wasn't the time to think about such things.

"Uma, dear ! Why are you spacing out ?" The Queen asked as she suddenly appeared in front of Uma who jumped away like a frightened rabbit.

She was about to answer when she noticed someone was standing besides the Queen. Uma gave that person a quick look...Then another...And then she panicked.

'What the hell is he doing here ?! Does she know who he is ?! Did he come for me, or was he already there ?!' Uma thought as her breathing got heavier.

The Queen noticed that and tilted her head.

"Umm.....Is this about my new guest ? Well...This does confirm his little story. Seems like he really is someone you know. But mister...Whatever your name is, my dear Uma doesn't look that good now that she saw you? Perhaps you're not someone she wanted to see ?" The Queen said as she turned around to face the much smaller man. In fact, some people could even call him a midget, not that he would care. People could critize his height for all he cared.

However something else unsettled him, it was the Queen's eyes. When she turned around, when Uma couldn't see her face anymore, the man realized he had to speak quickly before she jumped him and started to..Burn him, eat him or whatever she wanted to do. With such a deranged look, it couldn't be anything good.

"AH, no need to worry your highness. She is only shocked because I shouldn't be there. I was in a place, a bad place to be in during such chaotic times....." The man started as he gave Uma a pleading look.

She wasn't in a state where she could help him however. And so he ended his explanation with something that he thought would get him to live, at least a little bit longer.

"I simply came to report something to my colleague here. Uma....The poisonous Raja does desperate things when it's threatened....And now that it found a way to get himself out of trouble, he attempts something truly crazy. In a few months....The Poisonous Raja will have bitten the stars before shining light upon the void."
