Chapter 92: Yu Ren's Wealth, Unkillable Cockroach?

The audience was still. Is he dead?

Charlotte, who was seated in the stands with some of her friends, became worried. Her eyes welled up with tears, but she held back from crying since she was in public.

An Elder flew over to check William's condition. He didn't have to go far since William released a groan before struggling to his feet. Both of his arms were missing and there was a large gash on his chest, but William was alive!

"I can't believe it!" one of the girls next to Charlotte exclaimed. How did William survive such an attack when he didn't even have any Cultivation? It was unheard of!

Yu Ren was just as surprised as the audience. Only a few people had ever survived that attack of hers, and all of them had greater Cultivation. She had once killed a Golden Core expert with that attack! How did William survive?

William staggered for a moment while his wounds slowly healed from the Regeneration Talent. Now wasn't the time to be holding back, so William displayed his Life Element for all to see as he healed some broken ribs and the gash on his chest. Unfortunately, even the Life Element wasn't enough to heal his arms by itself. He needed more healing power.

William waited for the effects of each upgrade to take effect. The D Rank Regeneration only improved the rate at which his smaller wounds healed and helped with any internal bleeding, while the C Rank was able to stop the bleeding in his arms and help to replenish his lost blood.

Once the Regeneration Talent reached B Rank, however, the spectators were shocked to see both his arms begin to slowly regrow.

"Is that an Innate Regeneration Talent? How lucky can this guy be!" the audience tried to count how many different abilities William used.

"Not just that, but hasn't he used four Elements already? He's a Quad-Element Manamatus!"

The stands became louder with excitement while Yu Ren watched William regrow his arms. No. I shouldn't be letting him recover, even if he is weaker than me!

She wasn't going to take it easy on William, even if her Rank didn't matter. It wasn't about the Ranking Board; it was about her family's pride. With that in mind, she gathered the surrounding Mana once again and fired a pillar of light with incredible speed at William.

William was still paying attention to Yu Ren while his arms regrew. Even with the Acrobatics Talent, her attack was too fast to dodge by itself, so William imbued Mana of the Wind Element into his feet to dodge the attack by a small margin.

He used the time between Yu Ren's attacks to sprint forward, launching massive fireballs from his hands at the noble girl. Her abilities were very powerful, but it seemed to take a long time to prepare each big move.

Yu Ren backed up, not giving William a chance to come close. She could tell that his physical strength was immense given that he survived a meteor strike head on. She prepared another wall of Water to force William to dodge, then summoned a massive bolt of lightning from above when he jumped over the wave.

William was struck by a direct hit once again, but he didn't stop running forward. He used his own Lightning Mana to compete with Yu Ren's, successfully neutralizing the hostile Mana after a few seconds.

"That's five Elements! He's a Quintuple Manamatus!" someone shouted. It wasn't surprising for Yu Ren to have many Affinities, since she was from a powerful bloodline and was a triple Manamatus before she started Cultivating, but William was different.

Elder Wen and some of the other spectators even worried for William's safety, since being too high profile was often a bad thing when you didn't have a powerful background.

Yu Ren's eyes turned cold. This person had only one less Element than her!

She was running low on Mana, so she took a Mana Gathering Pill from her Space Ring and ate it, quickly replenishing her Mana reserves. She continued to dig through her Space Ring, retrieving a glittering sword with an ornate red-yellow hilt.

"She's actually using the Light Breaker! I can't believe it!" the audience cheered. This fight was much more exciting than they had anticipated, to which they could only thank William for being an unkillable cockroach.

William eyed the sword warily, but wasn't sure what Yu Ren planned to do. She was still quite a distance away from him, so right now wasn't exactly the best time to bring out a melee weapon.

Yu Ren seemed to know what was on William's mind. She smirked, calling the surrounding Mana for a third time to her position. Her sword began to grow in size, quickly expanding to five meters.

William was already moving when he saw the dense Mana particles. While healing his arms previously, William had spent two Potential Points to ask the System how Yu Ren created that meteor spell. Thankfully, the System's explanation was simple enough for him to be confident in replicating it.

William chanted the same words that Yu Ren said before, still not knowing what they meant. He then called the surrounding Mana to himself, absorbing Mana of only the Earth and Fire Elements and condensing them until the particles were tightly packed together. He willed the Mana particles to spin, forcing them together even more until the particles were successfully fused together.

-Used Mana Fusion for the first time: +25 PP

He wasn't done yet. William willed those Mana particles to disperse until they were barely visible, then reformed them high up in the sky and packed them together to their extreme limit, expending the last bit of William's Mana.

-Developed a complex new spell: +5 PP

The result was apocalyptic. Yu Ren watched with horror as a meteor almost twice the size of hers was formed in the sky, blocking out the sun with its immense size. She didn't even have time to wonder how William managed to mimic both her chant and technique, as the meteor was crashing down at great speed.

She changed the target of her now twenty-meter sword to the meteor, releasing a swift sword strike that split the meteor perfectly into two halves.

Yu Ren became even more worried. That was supposed to destroy the meteor! There's no time for anything else!

She quickly flung out dozens of artifacts that were provided by her family, releasing many stored Arrays at the Advanced and Perfect level. The meteors crashed against the Arrays, destroying most of them in an instant and even putting a crack in Yu Ren's protective amulet barrier before the meteor ran out of kinetic energy.

Yu Ren put her hands on her knees and bent over, the stress from the near-death scenario making her stomach queasy. She managed to avoid throwing up, then collected herself and returned to a calm standing position.

William was on the other end of the Arena, also exhausted. His Status displayed 3/400 Mana remaining, and he only had Mana Gathering pills, which he wasn't even sure if they could be safely consumed by him.

He looked at Yu Ren.

"How can a monster like you exist in this world? Fuck."
