Chapter 39: A Prototype Transfusion

Chapter 39: A Prototype Transfusion

The sunlight pierced through the thin glass window panes, revealing the interior of the luxuriously designed bedroom, where a figure dressed in a white-colored T-shirt, with its front beautifully decorated with flowers, and wearing white fleece pants, giving the vibe of freedom and expense.

His blue hair bounced around his head, his handsome blue eyes looking at the interior of the wardrobe, when he turned his head to the side, where he could feel the sound of steps walking towards the door.

KNOCK

KNOCK

"Wake up, Sleepyhead!" The mocking roar came from none other than the familiar voice to which Hael rolled her eyes, as he appeared before the door and unlocked it.

And standing before him was none other than Captain Aelia dressed in a hoodie designed in blue and white, while donning blue male trousers, making her appear like some kind of tomboy.

"It seems you are already awake, and dressed up too.." Captain Aelia said, noticing his change in wears, as Hael walked right behind her. "Breakfast is right down below, Captain Aelia. We don't have all day..." Hael said in her bossy tone, causing Captain Aelia to snort coldly as she tightly closed the door before running after him.

"You don't tell me what to do, Kiddo. It's the other way round.."

"Hmm, that sounds unfair to me..."

"Tch, it isn't unfair until I say it is..."

Their small conversation slowly moved away from the page they had slowly felt as the sound of steps slowly dispersed into the distance...

"VROOOOOOOOM"

"VROOOOOOOOM"

The ultra high-grade supercar's engine resounded powerfully, as the gate to the mini-skyscraper slowly opened up, and Captain Aelia drove out of it, the mechanisms behind it causing it to shut itself back.

"Wear your seatbelt, I don't know how to drive like a geek!" Captain Aelia said as Hael furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he began looking around his seats, searching for a belt...

"Um, What is a seat belt?" Hael asked after failing to get what he wanted as Captain Aelia shook her head in tiredness.

"This is a seatbelt!" She said, pointing to the strange robe going round her upper body diagonally.

"Oh?" And grabbing with narrowed eyes, Hael turned to look at Captain Aelia once more, and in the next instant, he quickly wore the seatbelt properly.

"At least you have some brain in your head, and I don't have to teach a full-blown adult how to wear a seatbelt..." Captain Aelia said, her exasperated sigh holding some kind of joy.

"Does being 16 make me an adult?" Hael asked, noticing what Captain Aelia had just called him.

"Yes, of course. You're officially an adult once you're 16. Don't tell me it's not the case in that backwater fishing sector of yours..." Captain Aelia said as Hael shook his head.

"You have to be 19 to be considered an adult from where I come from. Only members of royalty would be tagged as adults once they reach 18, due to their extensive knowledge..."

"Royalty? That tiny fishing sector of yours even has a royalty?" Captain Aelia snorted in disdain.

"Just let me do the majority of the talking once we arrive there, and make sure your replies are only in Yes and No. I would have normally said, don't be disrespectful to anyone, not even the old man walking with a stick and looking helplessly weak. But at least, I can say you seem to have some simple moral common sense in your head, so you should at least be able to get from getting in trouble..." Captain Aelia said as Hael shrugged.

"Here is the transfusion process blueprint. I talked to Jennifer yesterday, and she said they would be trying a new Cybernetic Warrior class for you. It's a limited edition, a prototype of it if you may say..." Captain Aelia said as Hael furrowed his eyebrows, turning to look at the various images imprinted on the blueprint which had various images of skeletons inscribed in strange chips and wirings...

They were in various parts of the body, the eyes, upper body, especially the ribs, the hands, the legs. It covered almost every part of the body...

"Hmm, this seems more than I was described..." Hael said as Captain Aelia gave a nod, her eyes concentrated on the road...

"Yeah. You will be the first person to be undergoing this edition of Warrior transplant. It's called Voidbeaker 095." Captain Aelia said.

"Would it be less dangerous than the normal transfusion..." Hael asked with raised eyebrows, the only thing he heard from the transfusion.

"It would be harder, but also the one that carries very great potential in the Warrior Cybernetic body. Only those heirs of the big families would dream of buying a prototype of Cybernetic body..." Captain Aelia said, and Hael couldn't help but ask.

"So how did you get your hands on one, if it is only the great families with their millions of resources who would be able to afford it?" He asked as Captain Aelia shrugged.

"Jessica helped me out. She was the one who programmed it, and hearing I needed a transfusion for one of my crew members, she told me about it." That was the reply she gave as the car suddenly zoomed forward with horrifying speed, pressing Hael tightly to the back of his seat.

Turning to look at the window, he could see nothing as everything simply whizzed past with horrifying speed.

"Why the sudden rush..." Hael asked as Captain Aelia smiled.

"The road is free now, meant only for supercars. I'm not even moving at 70% of its full speed power yet!" Captain Aelia said as she rapidly moved her legs below, pressing tightly on a button at the side, and anyone who would have seen the car's speed would have thought it was nothing but an illusion.

The only sign of its existence being the large amount of flames that suddenly blew up from the ground after the car had long gone!
