Journey Towards Greatness

Chapter 1379: Frozen

Professor Krane wonders whose Pokemon is doing all this because he can't think of anyone he knows that has pokemons capable of doing this.

To answer his question, Gengar suddenly materializes in front of Professor Krane.

Krane's eyes widen while Naps scream in fear at Gengar's sudden appearance.

Krane "Exceptional, I have never seen a Gengar this big in my life. Who is your trainer? Do I know him?"

Though Professor Krane is grateful for his rescue, he still doesn't know who has come to rescue him.

Gengar looks at Krane and signals him to follow as he floats out of the room. Krane looks at Gengar's back and follows him.

As for Naps, he is smart enough to not stop Gengar. He is just a young teenager; he doesn't want to do anything with Cipher or this big-ass Gengar.

Julian looks down into his pocket and sees Crystal deep asleep. Even that minuscule amount of energy has put Crystal in a deep slumber. He doesn't know when Crystal will wake up, but he is sure that Crystal will be stronger than ever when it does.

As Julian continues his way deeper down the lab, he encounters more and more Cipher members who try to attack him immediately but his Vikavolt and Golisopod counter before they can even make a move.

Their speed and swiftness are out of the world and their teamwork allows them to take out opponents with incredible efficiency.

Every cipher member that came his way was taken care of with ease until two very big dudes confronted him.

Both of them stand at least seven feet tall with huge muscles, wearing Cipher gear that looks a lot different from your regular member.

"Intruder, surrender now or face the consequence," one of them yells while pointing a dark pokeball at Julian. His partner also gets ready and takes out his own dark pokeball.

Julian "Move away and you won't have to suffer," Julian retaliates back.

"You asked for this," the big cipher member says and sends out his pokemon. His partner too doesn't waste words and sends his pokemon out as well.

Two massive shadow pokemons now block Julian's path. A Shadow Conkeldurr and a Shadow Machamp.

Julian looks at these two pokemons and feels pity for them. They are elite-level pokemons who could have led a great life in the wild or with a trainer, but now they suffer because of Cipher.

Now that these two elite-level pokemons are shadowfied, Julian's Vikavolt and Golisopod are no match for them.

Julian 'I should end this quick,'

Knowing his pokemons are outmatched and them being shadow pokemons, he knows this battle will be needlessly dragged.

Julian gives it some thought and sends out Kyurem

The two massive brutes couldn't believe their eyes as they looked at the pokemon standing in front of them.

"Tell me I am not the only one seeing this?" One brute asks.

"I don't think so, I am also seeing it," the other brute answers.

"This is clearly a fake Pokemon right?" the first brute asks

"I don't know, it doesn't look like one," the other brute replies.

"There is only one way to find out. Let's attack it. Maybe it's just an illusion. You know like a Zoroark," the first one comes up with a theory and his theory is actually not bad. The likelihood of them encountering a trainer who is walking around with a legendary Pokemon in their pocket is extremely minuscule. Ɍ

They are more likely to come across a Zoroark pretending to be a Kyurem than an actual Kyurem itself.

"Conkeldurr, use Hammer Arm"

"Machamp, use Cross Chop"

Both order their shadow pokemons to use their respective moves, trying to take down this Kyurem which they believe is an illusion.

Julian "Freeze them"

Julian doesn't need to say much with Kyurem fighting his battles.

Kyurem roars as his eyes flash with freezing glint. Suddenly a burst of coldness envelops everything, freezing everything in its wake.

Ice crystals form in thin air, the walls get covered in a thin layer of ice and the two pokemons trying to attack Kyurem are now encased inside large boulders of ice.

The burly cipher members watch all this happen in bewilderment. They didn't expect their shadow pokemons to get incapacitated in such a way. Sure, they can handle all kinds of physical damage, but what are they gonna do once trapped inside ice?

And this is not any normal ice. This ice is made by Kyurem, the molecules in it are packed tighter than any metal. There is no way these two pokemons are ever breaking out of it.

They then look at Julian and wonder who he is. Why is this man walking around with a living, breathing legendary Pokemon?

Julian "So you two want to continue?"

Julian asks the two men stopping his way.

The men stare at Julian, look at each other, and then look back at Julian. As the image of their pokemons getting frozen in an instant plays in their head, they aggressively shake their head, denying their intention to stop Julian.

They turn their back to Julian and make a run for their life. Little do they know they have no choice. As soon as they turned their back, they too got frozen on the spot.

Julian "Make sure they don't die in their,"

Kyurem manipulates the ice in such a way that they can breathe inside and not freeze to death.

Julian then continues onward making his way down the lab.

With one more floor to go, Julian sees a girl with long pink pigtail-styled hair running towards him.

He looks at the clothes she is wearing and immediately guesses her identity.
