Chapter 633: Chapter 633 - Spore Strike and Wraith’s Cloak

[Using Blacksmith's Soul Engrave on Invincible Paragon Gloves]

[Epic-grade Sporeclaw Bear Lv. 220 will be consumed for this process]

[Do you wish to proceed?]

Broken had been putting this off for quite some time, unsure of which Monster Soul Stones to use on which equipment.

Monster Soul Stones were rare, valuable, and incredibly hard to come by. Not only could they be used to enhance equipment, but they could also serve as food for spirit beasts, helping to upgrade their power.

These functionalities made them even more precious, and Broken had been hesitant to use them recklessly.

Over the past few months, however, he had managed to collect a significant number of Monster Soul Stones. He had deliberately delayed using them, unsure of how to maximize their potential.

Now, the moment had finally come. Broken decided to take the plunge and use them all, betting on the hope of obtaining skills that would complement his equipment.

At the very least, he hoped for a skill that would enhance his Invincible Paragon set, his main armor set.

As he prepared to channel the stones into his gear, he steeled himself for whatever outcome awaited him.

[Integrating the monster soul, the elements from both objects, and compatible skills.]

[Skills:]

[Spore Strike: 20% chance to release spores on impact, slowing enemy movement speed by 30% for 5 seconds.]

Not... bad?!

Broken furrowed his brow as he read the description of the new skill he had just unlocked. 20% chance to slow down enemies!

The probability was impressive, but the effect was even better-a massive 30% reduction in movement speed!

"Okay, this is a good skill," he muttered to himself, his initial hesitation giving way to satisfaction.

The added utility was a significant upgrade, especially now that the Gloves had also evolved into a Growth-Type item.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Feeling a surge of confidence, Broken wasted no time and moved on to enhance another three pieces of his Invincible Paragon set.

[+15 Invincible Paragon Helmet - Bloodblossom Serpent Lv. 218 (Growth Type)]

[Grade: Epic]

[Health +870

Mana +1450]

[...]

[Toxic Resilience: Reduces all poison damage received by 30%.]

The new skill he unlocked for his Helmet... good... very good!

Poison damage reduced by 30%.

It was undeniably useful-though only in specific situations against poison-type enemies. While not overly versatile, it wasn't a bad addition either.

Still, Broken couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment. He had hoped for something more impactful, like Life-Leech Aura: Recover 2% of damage dealt as Health.

This time, luck didn't seem to be entirely on his side. But he shrugged it off, knowing the upgrades were still valuable in the right circumstances.

[+15 Invincible Paragon Armor (Chest) - Nightshade Wraith Lv. 221 (Growth Type)]

[Grade: Unique]

[Health +1450

Defense +870

Stamina +79]

[...]

[Wraith's Cloak: Reduces damage taken from ranged attacks by 15%.]

This upgrade... was extraordinary!

While the Invincible Paragon armor set was already tailored for battling multiple opponents at once, the addition of the Wraith's Cloak skill made it even more formidable.

Reduces physical damage from ranged attackers by 15%.

This was no small number-15% was substantial, especially in large-scale battles. Against 10 or 20 enemies attacking from a distance, this reduction could mean the difference between survival and defeat. The cumulative effect was incredibly impactful.

"Jackpot!" He thought.

[+15 Invincible Paragon Armor (Pants) - Fungal Gargantuan Lv. 215 (Growth Type)]

[Grade: Unique]

[Health +9425

Defense +580

Stamina +290]

[Fungal Resilience: Reduces the duration of crowd-control effects by 30%.]

And the final upgrade... Fungal Resilience.

This one was nothing short of phenomenal!

30% reduction to crowd control effects.

This was incredibly overpowered!

The significant reduction would allow him to break free from stuns, snares, and other debilitating effects much faster, giving him a major edge in chaotic battles.

Satisfied with the results, he stored everything in his Inventory. While part of him was tempted to do more-particularly upgrades for his Woodland Ranger set-he decided to hold off. He hadn't yet found Soul Stones with skill sets that felt like the right fit for it.

"Are you satisfied with the results?" Aerin, seated beside him.

"Yes, Aerin," Broken replied. "I'll upgrade your equipment too."

"Oh, really?" Aerin asked with a soft chuckle. "Do I need to provide five Monster Soul Stones

for it?"

"Yes," Broken said with a nod. "But if you don't have enough, I can share mine."

"Don't worry, I have more than enough Monster Soul Stones for that."

Broken smiled faintly at her response before turning his focus back to his task.

Upgrading his weapon was the next logical step, and Broken began searching through his

inventory for high-grade Soul Stones.

His eyes landed on something exceptional: Gremory's Soul Stone.

A Soul Stone from a Named Demon. This was no ordinary resource-it was rare and immensely powerful. If used correctly, it could elevate the chosen weapon or beast to entirely

new heights.

Broken mulled over his options carefully:

Vampiric Command Card: It could be a decent match, considering its affinity for dark magic, but it wasn't an item he relied on often enough to justify such a high-tier upgrade. The Scorchslayer Sword: A strong weapon, but with its Fire element, it wasn't compatible with Gremory's elements. The combination would clash rather than synergize. Pawpaw: Pawpaw shared an elemental affinity with Gremory's, making this a tempting option. However, Pawpaw had already absorbed some of Gremory's essence in the past. Further stacking the same source might lead to diminishing returns or wasted potential. The Abyssbreaker Greatsword: This was the most logical choice. It shared the Shadow element with Gremory's Soul Stone, making the combination a perfect fit.

Should I go through with this?

However, in reality, Broken rarely used the Abyssbreaker Greatsword, so he hesitated to

commit Gremory's Soul Stone to it. It felt like a waste to use such a valuable resource on something he didn't frequently rely on.

Alright, I'll hold onto it for now, he decided, storing the Soul Stone carefully for future use.

With his own upgrades complete, Broken turned his attention to helping Aerin choose Soul Stones for her Invincible Paragon armor set.

Aerin brought out her collection of Soul Stones-eight in total, and impressively, every one of

them was at least Epic-grade.

They worked through the upgrades, selecting the best combinations to enhance her armor. And soon her Invincible Paragon armor set was fully upgraded to Growth Type.

The timing felt perfect. From the start, these two sets had been crafted together by him. Now, both sets had evolved to their Growth Type.

Alright, next on the agenda. Broken decided to make the most of his rare free time in the game -something that didn't come around often-by experimenting with his Unique-grade Elemental Forger class, specifically its Golem Creation advanced class.

It had been nearly five months since he unlocked this class during his battle with Gremory.

Now, however, it was time to delve deeper. He opened the class details and reviewed its features. While he had analyzed them briefly before, he had never truly utilized the class yet. What truly caught Broken's attention was the sheer variety of skills available within the class. For a single class, it offered 7 skills.
