Limits
I analysed the sentence again and though 'The word Ki means "do" or "does" this would depend on the pronoun used before or after it. The word Kiq should mean something like "do"... maybe it's the opposite of "do" which would be "don't". It would make sense because the construct is the same. In human language we would add "not" to the word "do" in order to create "don't". If this is the same logic and the Ancient Language is based on similar rules, then if I add letter "r" at the end, it means opposite'.
If my thought were correct then the sentence would be "No, Don't or Doesn't". 'This would make sense, the dark figure said it wouldn't repeat what I did and perhaps added something like "Don't be cocky" at the end of it. Maybe the dark figure said "Doesn't matter" or something like that'.
The next words the dark figure spoke were Thes Therak Reles. 'I have no clue as to what the 1st word could mean. The 2nd word was used before, I don't know what it means but it must refer to a person or to something related with a person. The 3rd word sounds a bit like "rules" but then what sense would it make?'.
My thoughts continued 'If "rules" is at the end then the sentence would look like this "No, don't/doesn't Thes Therak rules". Then what can I use to replace the untranslated words… something like "No, don't break my rules"? but I didn't break any rules so it doesn't make sense'.
I tried a couple of different possibilities but it didn't make sense. 'Maybe I'm wrong and the word Reles is not translated as "rules". Just because one word could be similar in human language like Trevak, it doesn't mean that Reles would be the same' I thought.
I needed to study the language more, It was hard to find a meaning when the words used could mean many things. Even when I got such short replies, I could only decipher one or two words. I was getting closer but at the same time, I knew the road in front of me will be long and winding.
I stopped thinking about the Ancient Language and returned to my training. I had to improve myself as much as I could and because I was already adjusting to the weight on my back, I increased it to make things more difficult. I had to push myself to my limits in order to gain something.
Everything I did, whatever training it was, I would have a bag filled to the brim with stones. I was barely able to walk properly but I didn't give up. I needed to reach my limits, not trying to reach it incrementally but in one burst!. All the frustration, sadness and rage poured out of me. "If this is not enough to get stronger. THEN I SHALL CARRY MORE!" With a shout, I lifted a boulder that would weight about as much as a grown robust human.
The sweat was pouring from me like never before. I was at my limits but something inside me didn't allow me to drop that boulder nor the bag that was strapped to my back. I walked and walked, with sweat pouring down like rivers. My consciousness started to fade. I was about to faint when my instincts kicked in and I released an Aura. An Aura that was unyielding to anything in this world!
"Crack….Crack… BOOOM!"
The bolder in my hands crumbled and at the same time something in my body broke. I felt as if something shattered inside my body but I didn't feel pain or discomfort, no. I felt boundless amounts of strength filling me. I felt as if I unlocked my true potential. The bag that was on me started to weight less and less as the strength filled my body.
After a short while of this marvellous feeling, the strength stopped pumping through my veins but instead of dissipating, it stayed there. "What just happened?" I asked myself out loud. I felt intense hunger but I also felt that my strength became exponentially greater. For one, the bag I carried was filled to the brim with stones. Yet to me, it felt like half of it was filled. The boulder in my hands also crumbled due to the pressure I exerted on it.
I looked at my body and didn't notice much difference. My muscles were more defined and I seemed to gain some weight, I wasn't as skinny as a skeleton anymore. I was still skinny nevertheless. I had no mirror but I checked my face using my hands. There was a beard growing on it 'I forgot to actually cut my beard, It's been so long since I took care of that' I thought. Besides the beard, my face stayed pretty much the same, still skinny.
When I touched my hair they were now long enough to rest on my shoulders. I also noticed something wrong. "My hair colour was dark brown but it's completely black now!" I exclaimed out loud. I didn't know why it would suddenly change colour or perhaps it did long ago and I never noticed. I thought 'Maybe it's just dirty? but I wash myself from time to time'. Sure I wasn't washing myself everyday as the pond that I could use to wash myself was located about an hour worth of travelling away from my camp.
When I touched my hair, they didn't seem to be dirty anyway. 'So does that mean my hair colour will be black from now on?' I wondered. Not that it mattered to me that much. Besides, black colour would blend better in shadows. Then I got a crazy idea 'Did my body adapt? to be more stealthy?... Nah, that never happened to anyone. Even with my knowledge in the Art of Medicine, I never heard of such thing happening'. I dismissed the idea and just simply left it at that. Black, white, red or blue hair, what did it matter? it was just a colour.
I tried taking a step forward but instead of taking a step, I traveled about 10 steps forward. "What is this!?" I exclaimed out loud. I had so much strength in my body that I wasn't really controlling it and simply took a step forward but instead of taking a single step, I traveled almost a dozen of them. A smile appeared on my face and I bent my body a bit, then released all the strength in my legs.
"BOOOM!"
I only jumped forwards but the force behind my jump was so great that I actually traveled a great distance, before hitting a tree and breaking it. I stood up a bit confused from the impact. I felt pain but none of my bones were broken. When I looked back to the place that I stood in before, I didn't live prints, no. I left a hole on the ground and I could still see dust lingering around it. "This is my new strength?" I couldn't believe it myself. This type of increment in strength was unheard of. One second I was barely able to hold on and then the next second, everything changed. I had much more power, much more strength and speed.
I then hear my stomach grumbling. 'Right, I'm very hungry right now. I should eat something' I thought and proceeded to eat whatever I had left. It was not enough so I decided to go and hunt. Besides, I was also curious about my new strength and wanted to test it out some more.
