Chapter 12 Ch: 12
On the day of the party, Vincent and Nathan excitedly prepared themselves for an evening of mingling and celebration.
They both dressed to impress for the evening's event. Vincent wore a tailored navy-blue suit, paired with a crisp white shirt and a subtly patterned tie. The ensemble exuded elegance and sophistication, making him feel both confident and stylish. Nathan, on the other hand, opted for a sleek black tuxedo with a black bowtie, his attire reflecting his refined taste and penchant for luxury.
As they got ready, Nathan couldn't help but notice the change in Vincent's attitude. It was as if the near-death experience had awakened a newfound zest for life in his friend. Nathan appreciated this transformation, glad to see Vincent learning to enjoy the finer things and embrace the pleasures that life had to offer.
While adjusting his cufflinks, Nathan remarked,
"You know, Vincent, it's good to see you taking pleasure in life like this. I've always wanted you to enjoy it as much as I do."
Vincent looked at his reflection in the mirror and replied,
"I guess I've realized that life is too short not to enjoy it. Thanks for showing me that, Nathan."
With a warm smile, Nathan patted Vincent on the back, pleased that his friend had embraced this new perspective on life.
As they got ready, Nathan casually mentioned, "You know, I'm really looking forward to seeing the expression on people's faces when we show up in those cars."
Vincent chuckled, "Yeah, I've got to admit, I'm pretty excited about it too. It's not every day you get to drive a supercar."
When it was time to leave, they headed down to Nathan's personal garage, where the luxurious sports cars were waiting for them. Nathan grinned at Vincent and asked, "So, have you made up your mind about which car you want to take?"

Feeling more confident than ever, Vincent chose a sleek, red Ferrari for himself and a sophisticated black Lamborghini for Nathan. He imagined the impression they would make when they arrived at the party and couldn't suppress a grin.
As they climbed into their respective cars and began driving toward the upscale venue, Vincent mused aloud into his phone.
"It's strange how much I've changed since the accident. I never used to care about stuff like this."
Nathan nodded and smiled, "Sometimes, near-death experiences can change our priorities. And I like the new you to be honest. It's more refreshing"
"Thanks, buddy " Vincent replied with sincerity.
The destination for the night was the luxurious Mandarin Oriental in Newyork, a large and opulent hotel known for hosting high-end events and gatherings. As they approached the hotel, Nathan glanced over at Vincent with a competitive smile and asked, "Hey, want to race?"
With a confident smirk, Vincent replied, "Sure, let's see what these cars can really do."
The two friends exchanged a playful glance before pressing down on their accelerators, their powerful engines roaring to life. The Ferrari and Lamborghini sped through the streets, expertly weaving in and out of traffic as they raced toward the Mandarin Oriental. The thrill of the race and the adrenaline coursing through their veins only added to their excitement for the night ahead.
Nearing the hotel, they slowed down and pulled up to the valet, both grinning from ear to ear after their exhilarating race. The valets, clearly impressed by the sleek sports cars, quickly took the keys and parked the vehicles with care.
As the two friends entered, the people around them couldn't help but be awestruck by the sight of the limited-edition sports cars. Both vehicles were incredibly rare and cost five times more than the original models, making them instantly recognizable to the affluent crowd. The unique design and exclusivity of the cars turned heads and sparked excited whispers among the attendees.
Vincent felt a surge of adrenaline as he noticed a group of beautiful women gossiping about their grand entrance while the cars were being parked. He had been Nathan's friend for a very long time, but this was his first time in this elite social circle. It was a new experience for Vincent, one that he found both exhilarating and intimidating.
As they made their way into the event, Nathan leaned over and whispered, "See? I told you it would be fun. Just relax and enjoy the attention."
Vincent felt invigorated by all the attention he was receiving, a sensation that was both thrilling and unfamiliar to him. As he looked around, he noticed several young, beautiful women casting admiring glances in his direction. Their gazes stirred a sense of arousal within him, adding to the exhilarating atmosphere of the evening.
"Hey, Nathan, who's your friend?" A beautiful woman with brown skin and hazel eyes approached them, accompanied by three other equally stunning women. She wore a seductive, body-hugging red dress that showcased her shapely figure and revealed a tantalizing glimpse of her ample cleavage, creating an irresistibly erotic aura around her.
"This is my cousin, Vincent," Nathan introduced with a smile.
"Vincent, this is Vanessa Gomez," he added.
Upon laying eyes on Vanessa, Vincent suddenly felt shy, his old habits threatening to resurface. Nathan noticed and was prepared to step in and save the situation when, unexpectedly, Vincent's demeanor shifted.
With a confident smile, Vincent smoothly replied, "I apologize for my late response. It's just that you and your friends are so beautiful that I had to let my brain process it first."
Vanessa and the other women giggled, clearly appreciating Vincent's charming remark.
"Your cousin is better at handling girls than you are, Nathan," Vanessa teased, raising her hand to shake Vincent's.
Caught off guard, Nathan stammered, "I... uh..." He was genuinely surprised by Vincent's suave reply and couldn't help but wonder if someone had taken over his best friend's body completely.
As Vincent extended his hand to greet Vanessa, he grasped hers with a firm, confident grip. The assertiveness in his touch seemed to captivate Vanessa, and she responded with a seductive, tantalizing smile. Her eyes sparkled with intrigue as they locked onto Vincent's, and the corners of her full, inviting lips curled upward, hinting at the playful mischief that lay beneath the surface.
"Dude, I had no idea you're so smooth with girls," Nathan whispered as they followed Vanessa's group to the main venue.
"I didn't know either," Vincent admitted, scratching his head in shock. "It was like my mouth moved on its own that time."
"Maybe you really did get bitten by a vampire in the ruin. Please, bite me!" Nathan exclaimed, his old habit of being overly curious resurfacing.
"Stop talking nonsense," Vincent shook his head.
"Well, people can dream, you know," Nathan replied with a disappointed look.
