Lunar Supremacy: The Original Alpha

Chapter 38 [Bonus ]CH: 38

As they hit the road, Debbie and Vincent were both thrilled about their adventure ahead. The wind blew through their hair as they cruised through the open roads. He loved the feel of the car beneath him, the purr of the engine as he pressed down on the accelerator, while Debbie enjoyed the view outside the window, taking in the picturesque landscapes of Maine.

Along the way, they passed by quaint little towns and farms, and even saw some wild animals grazing by the side of the road. The scenery was breathtaking, with tall trees lining the horizon and streams glistening in the sun.

Hours passed by and the road began to wind upwards as they approached the foot of Hamlin Peak. They could see the summit in the distance, beckoning them to climb higher.

As they parked the car at the foot of the mountain, Vincent's heart began to race with excitement. The raw beauty of nature was all around them, and it stirred something deep inside him. It was as if his inner wolf had been waiting for this moment, yearning to be back in the embrace of the wilderness. The fresh mountain air filled his lungs, and he felt a sense of freedom and liberation washing over him, like he was shedding the weight of the world from his shoulders.

"I want to run!" he exclaimed, unable to contain his excitement.

Debbie, however, quickly stops his enthusiasm. "You can do that once we're deep in the mountains," she reminded him, nodding towards a group of hikers preparing to hit the trails. "There are still people around this area."

He felt a pang of disappointment, but he knew that she was right. The last thing they wanted was to draw unwanted attention to themselves. So, with a sigh, he followed her lead and they made their way towards the trailhead

"Don't sweat it. We'll head to a spot where there won't be any hikers around. And once we get there, I hope you can give me a piggyback ride," she said with a playful wink, sensing his disappointment.

Vincent felt a surge of excitement and anticipation at her words, and he eagerly followed her as she led the way towards the base of Hamlin Peak.

As they walked deeper into the woods, the sounds of civilization faded away, replaced by the soft rustling of leaves and the chirping of birds. Vincent felt as if he were leaving the weight of the city, and he could feel his senses sharpening as he became more attuned to the natural world around him.

Little did he know, he was actually absorbing the natural energies around him, a gift unique to him.

Finally, they decided to change their course and venture into a part of the mountain that was not typically frequented by hikers. This new path presented a challenge, with steep cliffs and massive rocks that made the ascent difficult and dangerous.

But Vincent couldn't help but feel exhilarated by the challenge. The terrain was treacherous, but he was confident in his abilities.

"This place is perfect for my training," he thought to himself as he surveyed the rugged landscape. He had been limited by his surroundings in New York City, but this place was perfect for him to go all out

"Ready when you are," he called out to Debbie, his eyes glinting with excitement.

"let's go then , " Without a moment's hesitation, she took Vincent's backpack and wrapped her arms around him from behind. Despite the added weight, he barely even noticed it.

He began running on all fours, using his heightened senses to navigate the rugged terrain. He did not transform, yet it was enough to allow him to traverse the treacherous mountain terrain with the speed and agility of a wolf. His four legs were well-suited to hopping from one rock to the next, while his sharp senses helped him navigate through the dense foliage.

For Vincent, this was more than just a run. It was a chance to test his limits and explore the primal nature within him. And as he raced ahead, he knew that nothing could stop him from embracing his true self.

Debbie on the other hand clung to his back, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck as he darted through the trees and up the steep incline. Vincent's fur ruffled in the wind, and he breathed in the fresh mountain air as he ran.

"Is it just me or is he getting stronger?" Debbie muttered to herself, her lack of supernatural powers offset by a keen sensitivity to otherworldly energies. She felt Vincent's power surging with each passing moment, a scary thought that left her wondering about his true nature and how he could grow so quickly.

It was hard to believe, but if this trend continued, she had no doubt that he would eventually reach her sister's level of power. The idea was frightening, and she couldn't help feeling a sense of unease as they ran deeper into the woods.

As they reached the top of a particularly steep climb, Vincent paused to catch his breath. From their vantage point, they could see for miles around. The view was breathtaking, and they both took a moment to take it all in.

"Wow, this is amazing," Debbie said, her eyes sparkling with wonder.

Then a loud roar jolted her .

"Awooooooooooooooooooo " Vincent let out a wolfish howl, his voice echoing across the mountainside. It was exhilarating to be so free, to run wild and free like a true wolf.

"Go wild," Debbie giggled. She knew that wolves were a common sight in the area, so she didn't try to stop him from embracing his inner wolf. She understood that he had been holding back for too long and needed to let loose.
