Leon stabbed a Wyrm with his poison dagger and looked forward. They had been going at this for close to an hour now and there seemed to be no end...contrary to what Anan was thinking, Leon wasn't trying to show them up.
He just didn't like the idea of seating around to become Wyrm food.
"Keep at it, the man with the most kills will get a reward from me!!!"
At the back, The silver death knight said with a big laugh. He looked like a middle-aged drunk enjoying a sports match or something.
He seemed to have completely forgotten why they were actually here.
Simultaneously, the rest of the cave systems were in a horrible state. Even some of the hunters in them had hurriedly escaped because of the shaking. Of those who didn't leave were three distinct groups.
The first were the ones who hadn't felt the shaking like Leon's group. The seconds were those trapped and lost, and last but not the least were the crazy ones like the commander Alaric.
"Push forward with everything you have!!! We must kill the beast, " in the eyes of the commander was a look of utter excitement. They had been on the move for a while now, and there was no sign of the blood serpent clan yet. It seemed like it was going to be another boring escapade.
But fortunately, the gods had favored him. He spotted this marvelous beast in front of him.
A jade tail swallow snake.
This was a very rare and valuable beast, If he could kill it and extract resources from it, he would be rich in no time.
However, he was certainly mistaken about whatever he thought the creature in front of him was, this creature spanned for about 2 kms and was so big that its main body was nearly touching the ceiling of the cave.
It was a powerful creature and the only reason it hadn't burrowed through the earth to attack him yet was because, it was currently being bombarded with volleys of arrows from another group of people in front.
It was being attacked from the front and back, but the difference was that the ones attacking from the front included someone who had blinded its right eye.
The matriarch of the Blood Serpent Clan, Liana.
"There's a crossroad at the front, we have to split up!!" One of the Elders of the blood serpent clan exclaimed while hanging from the side of a carriage.
The snake was actually after Liana after she blinded it, there was no reason for all of them to die because of her. It was the best idea if they went separate ways.
"Hmp!! You can go if you like, just don't come bothering me in the future!!" Liana said with annoyance, meanwhile her eyes remained glued to the crossroad in front.
The clan was always like this, they would be with you when you're powerful and would scurry away when you were in a disadvantageous situation.
"Hmm!!" The elder pulled his head back into his carriage and nodded to his counterparts. They were going to leave Liana as soon as they got to the crossroads.

And they did just that. Not surprisingly, the snake went after Liana and let them go.
"Why are you still here?" Liana looked to her side and questioned.
Beside her was a relatively fat man with a goatee looking calmly into the distance. Even though this man looked innocent and harmless, he was actually one of the most scheming people in the entire blood serpent clan.
The first elder.
Everyone left, he stayed. It was a beautiful show of loyalty.
"I want to see what you are seeing" the first elder said calmly. He didn't know Liana to be illogical at all, if she made a move, she must have thought it out thoroughly.
His underestimation of her was the reason she became clan head in the first place, he couldn't let it continue.
"Haha, I'm afraid you're mistaken this time, old bastard. I really don't have any plans. I'm just winging it" Liana said with a causal laugh. The old man had fallen into her schemes so many times that he had PTSD.
"I don't believe one word that comes out of you, let's move on" the first elder held firmly to his belief. Even if he died, he wouldn't regret, after all, he was already too old.
"Suit yourself" Liana gave a causal smile and faced what was in front of her. An empty, dark tunnel stretching for who knows how long.

"Hmmmm a crystal essence fruit. Makes sense" back at the Wyrm hole, Kilian held open a wooden box with a crystal shaped fruit inside it.
This kind of fruit was special and was for the sole purpose of evolving and strengthening the bloodlines of monsters. Even though it had no use to him, he could sell it to a beast tamer and get some good money from it.
"Eh hem" Anan coughed to call the attention of Kilian. Clearly he wanted his "reward"
"Ay yh, the reward...." Kilian nodded his head before pulling out a small pill.
"This one is good for level 1s, I figured we keep the competition between the lessers" The Silver knight said while looking at Dorian and Arian to make such they were cool with it.
"The winner is...let me think, carry the four, multiple by oh? It's the warlock boy?"
He said with a knowing smile.
"Hey that's not fair, we counted. I clearly won" Anan protested .
However, Kilian shut him down immediately.
"When he was assisting his comrades to kill as many wyrm at the beginning, what were you doing?" The silver death knight said to Anan.
He couldn't care less about Anan's disapproval. He didn't particularly like Leon either, but the rules were the rules. If anything, it was Anan who brought shame to himself.
