Chapter 1380  Won't Go Easy

"I have a suggestion," said Cloe. "Miss Chenyan should let Raelle design an escape room for you. I have faith in my chief that it won't be easy for anyone to pass her test."

Seeing the blank look of Raelle, Xiang Wai said, "First, we'll have to explain what an escape room even is to her."

Raelle gave her sister a look, "You are really looking down on me now. I have read about it."

"Again with that read about it. Go out and try it too! I don't know why your husband also doesn't push you to go out."

"He respects my choice of staying indoors."

"But he isn't exactly an indoor person though. You should also be nice to him," said Xiang Wai.

"You're making me sound like the bad wife."

"Yes. But you are a piranha!"

"Yanyan!"

"Wai, don't say that about your sister," said Mu Chenyan. "My Elle isn't a piranha at all. She is so adorable. How can she be a piranha."

"Doesn't your conscience ever hurt saying that, Aunt?"

"It doesn't," answered Mu Chenyan. "If you are all done eating. Let's move on to our next activity."

"We have more?"

"Oh, darling. We are just getting started!"

Raelle slumped down in her chair and refused to get up. Her one arm was held by Xiang Wai and the other was held by Cloe who pulled her up and half dragged Raelle with them to the RV again. "Now, where are we going?"

"We have two options," stated Mu Chenyan. "Now, you can make a choice. First is zip-lining. The second is rock climbing. Choose one."

"Is there a third option??"

"No!"

Raelle went silent and thought about it before deciding, "Then let's go with rock climbing. It's too hot outside for zip-lining. I don't wanna try it."

"Good choice! We're gonna have a competition. Whoever wins will be deciding our next activity."

Raelle's eyes widened over this suggestion and refused, "No! That's not fair. It's my first time even trying rock climbing. Obviously, I'd be the one losing." n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Xiang Wai patted her shoulder saying, "Sister, have some faith in yourself."

"I have faith in myself but not you. This indoor rock climbing must be a joke to people like you who have gone for real rock climbing in the wild without extensive protective gear."

Xiang Wai smiled at her in response, "That's true. It is indeed a joke. Then how about this? I won't participate. Aunt will not be a part of the competition either. Only you and Cloe. You two spent your days at your desk staring at computer screens or documents. I'll give this honor to you both."

Raelle looked at Cloe and felt like with her fitness level, she could definitely pass Cloe who didn't even care about her fitness. Cloe was one who had a gym membership, a premium one but only once in a blue moon would she go to a gym. So, there was a high chance that Raelle could win so she could give this a try.

"Chief, I won't go easy on you," said Cloe.

"Try me!" was Raelle's confident response.

Cloe only laughed at her and nodded as if she took it as a joke and nothing else.

In fact, she really took it as a joke. What Raelle didn't know was that even thought Cloe didn't like going to the gym, she would always go rock climbing whenever she had some free time. It made her relax and it also allowed her to separate herself from work. It was one of the sports she not only enjoyed but was very good at too.

That's why Raelle was left far behind by Cloe who easily won even though she tried her best to slow down. She felt like she was bullying Raelle right now but thinking about how she had been bullied by this chief for years too, she felt like it was okay. Anyway, Raelle had a great mental fortitude, one loss won't hurt her ego or anything.

"You cheated!" said Raelle.

Cloe chuckled, "I never said I was not good at it."

"How come I don't know you are good at it?" asked Raelle.

Cloe shrugged, "I offered it to you many times to join me for something fun. You always refused to waste your time on fun things. I could only do it alone."

Raelle looked at Xiang Wai suspiciously, "Did you already know?"

Xiang Wai waved her hands trying to prove her innocence, "Sister, you can't be suspicious of me. I really didn't know. How can you doubt me like this? I am hurt."

"You guys have been pretty close lately," Raelle pointed out.

"Yes, I accept that we have been getting close despite our different interests but I assure you that I never knew that she was good at rock climbing. Why would I want you to lose?"

"I'll believe you this once."

Xiang Wai patted her chest and breathed a sigh of relief. Mu Chenyan looked at these girls playing and missed her best friend. Sadly, Yue Yue wasn't feeling well today so she didn't bring her out for fun. Or else, it'd be even better right now. "Okay!" Mu Chenyan clapped her hands to get their attention. She passed them the drinks she bought for them and asked, "Since Cloe won, now, she'll decide the next activity. What's on your mind, Cloe?"

"How about a photo scavenger hunt?" suggested Cloe and before Raelle could ask what that was, Cloe explained on her own. "We'll randomly pick different landmarks around the city where we have to go and click photos within a specified time. The person who completed the task first will win."

"Hey, this sounds interesting," said Xiang Wai. "I'm down for it!"

Raelle thought about it before saying, "How many places?"

"We don't have that much time so, let's go with only five. And let's limit it to within 10-20 kilometers too. If we added the whole city in the range, it'd be too large. And we are only four."

"How will we randomly pick the landmarks? And how will we get there?"

"Of course, we'll use the phone to decide the landmarks. I'll play a fast paced video and where you stop it will be your chosen location. Also, since we all used the same RV today. No one is using that to finish the task." She turned to Raelle and added, "And chief, you can't take this chance to run away too."
