Milfs: Dual Cultivation

Chapter 173 The Celestial lotus-2

The Silver Phoenix Sect. ( at early evening )

The Silver Phoenix Sect was a freaking gold rank sect and It's grand Hall stood as a testament to centuries of cultivation and wisdom, that have stood against multiple storm and thunder.

Enshrined in ethereal jade and gleaming spirit crystals, it emanated an aura of unyielding power, it was more beautiful than the woman.

At its heart, the great assembly was in session, which was a rare gathering of elders, core disciples, and emissaries from allied factions.

From a glance it was clear, they were all here to talk about celestial lotus.

The lotus-shaped dais in the center glowed faintly with spirit energy as Elder Yunhai, one of the sect's most venerated figures, addressed the room.

His robes shimmered like golden flames like those of pheonix the legendary bird, and his voice carried the authority of one who had spent three centuries carving his place in the cultivation world.

The voice was oppressing and full of aura.

"The celestial lotus will soon bloom," Yunhai began, his words clear and deliberate.

"For ten millennia, it has eluded countless sects, its secrets veiled in mystery and bloodshed. But now, the Azure Veil Valley calls once more, and the fate of our sect hinges on this moment..."

The hall buzzed with energy as disciples and elders exchanged glances knowing competing for it would be pretty hard.

Though many were outwardly calm, their hearts were restless.

The celestial lotus was a treasure of unparalleled value; its essence capable of accelerating cultivation, healing even the gravest wounds, and unlocking hidden potentials.

How can a enlightened lotus be normal?

A slender young woman, dressed in the silver-and-gold robes of the sect, stepped forward.

Her name was Lin Yue, a prodigious core disciple who had reached the first stage if Soul wondering realm at the mere age of one hundred forty two yet she looked like of age twenty eight with well-built chest, hip and small waist.

Her eyes that were sharp and calculating, swept across the room before she bowed.

"Elder Yunhai," she began, her tone respectful yet firm.

"The Radiant Moon Pavilion and the Crimson Blade Sect have already mobilized their forces. It's said that both factions are sending their elite prodigies, many of whom rival even our finest disciples. What is our strategy to counter them?"

Elder Yunhai's gaze softened as he regarded Lin Yue.

"A wise question... Hmm.. Let me think. The Radiant Moon Pavilion thrives on deception and illusions. They will seek to avoid direct conflict, waiting for others to exhaust themselves. The Crimson Blade Sect, on the other hand, will charge headfirst into battle, their bloodlust driving them to reckless aggression. We must remain balanced; neither too cautious nor too brash,"

A deep voice cut through the murmurs.

"Then we shall need strength and cunning in equal measure."

The room turned toward the speaker which happens to be Zhao Ming, another core disciple, renowned for his resilience and mastery of defensive techniques.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

This guy is known to be harder than turtle.

His broad shoulders and calm demeanor gave him the presence of an immovable mountain.

"I volunteer to lead the defensive line," Zhao Ming continued, his voice steady.

On his heart, he fond Lin Yue. And he wished his junior sister to have this lotus knowing she had endless potential and very bright future.

"While others fight for glory, I will ensure our retreat remains secure,"

Heeding this, Lin Yue shot him a skeptical glance.

"A retreat, Zhao Ming? Are you suggesting we prepare for failure?"

However, Zhao Ming's expression did not waver.

"I am suggesting that caution is not cowardice. The Azure Veil Valley is not merely a battlefield; it is a trap, and those who underestimate it will not return,"

Before Lin Yue could retort, Elder Yunhai raised a hand, silencing the room.

"Both the of you speak the truth. Zhao Ming, your steadiness will be invaluable... Lin Yue, your sharp instincts will guide our offensive strategies. You will both lead our disciples into the valley,"

They were like Yin-Yang. Zhao guy being the absolute defense while Lin miss being the attacking force.

Zhao guy mainly focus on defensive approach, waiting for other to make mistake and counter attack while Lin miss was a type to attack ruthlesslyly without using her head.

In short, she was little dumb who focused on raw battle.

Anyway,

The announcement sent ripples of surprise through the crowd.

To entrust two young prodigies with such responsibility was rare, but it was a testament to their abilities.

World is bitch, you have to stand up for yourself and move on.

"Yes, Elder," they replied in unison, bowing deeply joining their hands in martial greeting.

As the meeting continued, whispers spread among the lesser elders, outer disciples and even the gatekeepers.

Some voiced their doubts about the sect's readiness, while others expressed confidence in their leaders.

At the edge of the hall, Wen Xian, an elder specializing in reconnaissance, leaned toward his longtime rival, Elder Huo Feng, a fire elemental cultivator who had something called Lava-dick domain.

Since it's a dual cultivation world few of the people have a 'Dick' domain.

...

"You seem unusually quiet, Huo Feng," Wen Xian remarked, his tone light but probing.

"Are you not eager to test your blazing techniques against the Crimson Blade Sect?"

Huo Feng's fiery eyes narrowed.

"And risk playing into their hands? No, Wen Xian. I'm more concerned about the Radiant Moon Pavilion. Their illusions could turn even our strongest minds against us,"

That's true, it is said that their illusion technique is an immortal rank technique that even powerful domains can't break it.

"Perhaps," Wen Xian replied, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

"But I have heard rumors that they've lost many of their elders in recent years. Their strength may not be as it once was,"

"Rumors," Huo Feng scoffed. "I trust my blade more than idle words."

Their conversation was interrupted by the entrance of a messenger, his robes soaked in sweat.

He knelt before Elder Yunhai, his voice trembling.

"Elder Yunhai, I bring urgent news. Scouts report unusual movements from the Midnight Shadow Sect. They've been spotted near the valley's borders, but their intentions remain unclear,"

The mention of the Midnight Shadow Sect sent a chill through the room.

Known for their ASSASSINS and spies, they were a wildcard in any conflict.

Their motives were as shadowy as their techniques, and their involvement often spelled chaos.

Elder Yunhai's expression darkened, "The Midnight Shadow Sect... They may seek to disrupt the balance. Send word to our scouts to maintain vigilance. Do not engage unless necessary."

"Yes, Elder!" the messenger replied, bowing before retreating.

After the meeting adjourned, Lin Yue and Zhao Ming convened in the sect's training grounds.

The moonlight cast a silvery glow over the space, reflecting off Lin Yue's sword as she practiced swift, fluid strikes.

"You seemed eager to challenge me in the hall," Zhao Ming remarked, his tone calm but laced with amusement. "Care to settle it here?"

Lin Yue paused mid-strike, turning to face him with a smirk. "I don't need to prove myself to you, Zhao Ming. But if you insist..."

Swish!

Before he could respond, she lunged, her sword a blur of silver light.

Zhao Ming barely had time to raise his arm, his defensive Qi forming a translucent barrier.

Clash!

Baaam!

The clash sent a shockwave rippling through the training grounds.

"Impressive," Zhao Ming admitted, lowering his guard.

"But remember, Lin Yue, battles aren't won by speed alone. Endurance is just as important..."

"And yet, speed can end a fight before it begins," Lin Yue countered, sheathing her sword.

"Don't worry, Zhao Ming. I'll make sure you survive long enough to retreat,"

It was clear this bitch didn't loved him because why would she even love him? She already has a Dao partner.

Zhao was just a simp trash, who focused more on this woman rather than his own wives.

He chuckled, shaking his head. "I look forward to seeing your strategy in action,"

Their banter, though light-hearted, carried an undercurrent of tension.

Both knew the stakes of the upcoming mission, and neither could afford to fail.

At worst, they can even die because another sect also would be sending genius among geniuses.

Those genius of the moon sect and shadow sect have the upper hand with their powerful spiritual art technique, and it is rumored that the holy son of the shadow sect has a highly powerful domain that can even fight and win against elders.

Her cultivation base of mere soul wondering wasn't much because her domain wasn't powerful type but utility type which focused on a 1v1 battle.

As the night deepened, Elder Yunhai stood alone in the Grand Hall, gazing at the ancient mural that adorned its walls.

It depicted a phoenix rising from flames, its wings stretching toward the heavens.

"The celestial lotus," he murmured to himself, his voice tinged with both hope and trepidation.

"It will either elevate us to new heights or plunge us into ruin."

A soft voice interrupted his thoughts. "Elder Yunhai, do you truly believe we can claim it?"

He turned to see Elder Mei Ling, a graceful woman whose mastery of healing arts had saved countless lives, sadly she couldn't progress any further because she is a widow.

"Belief alone is not enough, Mei Ling," Yunhai replied. "We must be prepared to sacrifice everything."

Mei Ling's expression softened. "Even so, let us hope the cost is not too great,"

Yunhai nodded.
