Chapter 386 - From One Bad News To The Other
He left in his car parked some distance away. Throughout the night Jackson and his employees tried to come up with a solution for the leak.
When everyone resumed work the next day, they met their boss and his newly set up team working in his office.
When Jackson thought everything was starting to stabilise another news popped out of nowhere. Within the space of two hours, the news became the most trending topic. It was even more trending more than the colour changing outfit that the N&T company announced.
"Boss have a look at this," Max who entered the room after coming back from the restroom said as he approached where his boss sits with his phone in his hands.
Jackson only needed to read the headline of the news and a few articles beneath before he send Max phone flying across the floor startling everyone.
Max lowered his gaze at his shattered phone.
Goddamn it! I just bought that phone five days ago. I didn't even use it for a week.
Max lamented but not having the guts to complain about his phone when his boss was this angry.
"Who the hell said they could drag her into this mess? How dare the idiot accuse my woman of only using me just because she wanted to help her ex-boyfriend steal the project of the colour changing outfits?" Jackson yelled angrily. After what he saw he couldn't calm down and his employees staring at him could tell the intensity of his anger.
"I want the IP address of the one who first posted the article traced. Get the media outlets to stop spreading the news. You don't need me to tell you what to say to them right?" Jackson asked with a stern expression that showed he won't take a no for an answer.
"Yes, boss," Max replied in a firm tone.
"Have the news taken down from the internet...,"
"Boss, I don't think doing that will help at all since almost everyone has seen it. And even though we manage to take it off right now people will continue to post it....," Max paused what he wanted to say when he saw his boss murderous glares directed at him.

"I will get it done right away," Max quickly hurried out of the room after picking up his shattered phone.
Although the phone was shattered badly, he was still very glad that it was still functioning.
Yesterday it was Jackson's company's entrance which was flooded with reporters but today it was Jasmine's company. Although they were still reporters gathering at the Smith International entrance it couldn't be compared to that of Jasmine.
Her company was flooded with calls from different media houses that they were left with no other option but to disconnect all the office phones.
Catherine and Jasmine even had to switch off their phones because of the numerous calls.
"Damn it! I am sure that jerk must have framed me with this to get even with me for rejecting him over and over again," Jasmine said angrily as she sink into the couch. She has been walking around trying to resolve the issue since an hour ago when she learned about the news.
"I will go over to his office right now and teach him a lesson...,"
"You know you can't do that," Catherine said as she pulled Jasmine back onto the couch.
"You know seeing him will only make everyone believe that you really betrayed Jackson to help your scumbag ex-boyfriend...,"
"But they have already believed that bullshit even without knowing the truth so why should I care about what they think?" Jasmine asked as she struggled to free herself from Catherine's grip.
"If you want to feed Jackson's head with useless thoughts then you can go ahead and meet that douchebag. If the picture of the two of you gets posted on the Internet and Jackson misunderstood your relationship with your ex then you can't blame him...,"
"Who knows what goddamn thoughts he must be having right now. Who knows if he will call me up on the phone and break up with me," Jasmine said as she stops struggling. Her mood suddenly hits rock bottom at the thoughts of Jackson.
"Right now it's not only his company which is suffering but so is his emotions. I am sure he must be suffering emotionally right now," Catherine said in a sad tone.
"I indeed went to his office on the said day to visit him but Cat, I swear I didn't touch anything or look through his files...,"
"You don't have to swear because I believe you. I am a witness of just how much you adore Jackson so how could I ever think that you will hurt him and the company he loves so much?" Catherine said as she drew closer to Jasmine.
"No matter what anyone chooses to believe I will believe in you. This is how much I trust you so stop feeling bad and let's think of ways to survive through this together," Catherine said as she embraced Jasmine. They didn't even pull out of each other's embrace when a lady called Meline barged into the office.
"I am sorry," The lady apologise at the scene she met. She turned to leave but Jasmine called her back in.
"It's ok. For you to have barged in without knocking I am sure you must have had something important to show me so come in," Jasmine said as she and Catherine sat down properly on the couch.
"You are right about that boss," Meline said as she approached where Jasmine sits. When she reached Jasmine she handed the white tablet in her hands to Jasmine.
Jasmine eyes almost bulged out of their sockets when she scrolled through the collection of pictures posted on the internet.
The curious Catherine caught the tablets before it could fall onto the floor. When her eyes met the pictures of Jasmine and Nicholas almost kissing under the rain she understood why Jasmine acted the way she did.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi darling readers, I wasn't supposed to upload another chapter today but I just recalled that I forgot to do the most important thing before the year ends.
2021 came with a lot of surprises be it good or bad. They were times I got so tired of everything including writing. The way my books were doing poorly despite all the time, effort and resources I invested in it made me lack motivation to do anything. This constant failure as an author almost made me give up on writing. The reason I wrote "MISSION XX: SEDUCING THE GREAT SEDUCER", was because my friend constantly kept encouraging me to do it despite how scared I was.
Although all these things happened I still think 2021 has been my best year as an author.
2021 brought me a lot of wonderful readers through this book and other of my books. I got to meet and befriend wonderful readers just like you. You guys might not understand how much this means to me but it's ok since I do.
Overall, 2021 was awesome and this was all because of my superb readers who showered me with their endless love and supports. The feeling that my readers will always get my back no matter what this 2021 made me so happy. It made me feel like I could fly and soar so high.
I wish 2022 will be more awesome than this. I wish all my efforts after all these years of being an author will pay off. I wish my readers will support and shower me with their love in 2022 more than they did this year 2021.
I also wish for all my readers to remain happy and healthy comes 2022.
Thank you so much, everyone, you have been more than amazing this 2021. I wish they are other ways I could show you all how grateful I am apart from writing it down.
A BIG SHOUTOUT TO ALL MY READERS!!! I LOVE YOU ❤❤❤
