A few minutes later the two sisters stopped arguing and Thasinia turned to John before saying. 

"So, you're the one who got himself poisoned are you?" 

"With all due respect I did not do anything, I was given a poisonous access band instead of a regular one." 

"Oh, and why did you not know the difference, did they never teach you what the MK VI looks like and to never touch it if you saw one?" 

"No, they didn't." John replied simply. 

"Huh?" Thasinia said looking confused before turning to her sister. 

"What's Alexia playing at in her Empire?" 

Tanelia sighed before explaining about the whole situation, for the second time in ten minutes. 

"What the fuck, seriously are those humans that stupid?" Thasinia asked, looking bewildered. 

"Apparently." Tanelia said. 

"So, I suppose you brought the MK VI with you then?" Thasinia asked, turning back to John. 

"I did," John said, taking the MK VI which was still wrapped in the cloth out of his pocket. 

"Good, let's take a look, go place it over there on that table." Thasinia said before going to grab a pair of tweezers. 

After John placed the access band on the table Thasinia carefully unwrapped it before picking it up with the tweezers and placing it on a machine, after this she pressed a button, and the machine came to life as a light seemed to go back and forth over the access band. 

"Ok that will take a few minutes to scan so let's get you set up, take off your shirt for me." Thasinia instructed. 

"Err pardon." 

"I'm not speaking in Elvish Kido, take off your shirt so we can scan you." 

"istan quetë Eldarin" (Translations: I can speak Elvish) John replied as he took off his shirt. 

"OH? not bad." Thasinia nodded. 

After taking his shirt off John was directed over to a medical bed to lie down on, what he did not notice was that all four elves were actually checking out his chest. 

"He has way more muscles than elf men get." Elmyra said in a whisper causing Tanelia and Alea to nod in agreement.

"Ok just need to attach these pads and then start the scan, try not to move around too much." Thasinia instructed while she stuck some sensors to John's chest before moving away and pressing a button. 

Just like with the access band, a light started to move around John's body as he lay on the bed. 

While he was being scanned a noise came from the machine scanning the MK VI and Thasinia went over to look at the results. 

"Hmm," she said. 

"How is it?" Tanelia asked. 

"Not the highest concentration of poison we have seen on a MK VI, probably because of its age, however it is still way into the danger zone, we need to wait on his test results." 

A moment later the scanner finished scanning John with a ding and Thasinia went to read the results there. 

"Ok so good news or bad news, which do you want first?" She asked, looking at John. 

"The bad news." 

"Ok you're poisoned." Thasinia said simply. 

"Auntie, can't you show a little more tact?" Alea asked with a sigh. 

"Calm down little one, this is where the good news comes in." 

"It's not life threatening, while you need a few treatments to eliminate the cause it should not take long." 

John nodded before saying. 

"annad" (Translation: Thanks) 

"No problem." Thasinia said with a smile. 

"That's great John, it just means you will have to wait a bit before we can properly test your magical capabilities." Alea said with a smile. 

"Oh, can you use magic?" Thasinia asked. 

"Not sure as my school never gave me the test, I did apparently see Yggdrasil earlier when Alea used magic though." 

"Hmm not bad kid, you're pretty lucky." Thasinia said. 

"Lucky really? Not so sure about that." John said as he put his shirt back on.

"Thasinia you really have no tact." Tanelia said before turning to John. 

"John forgive my sister, she has never been any good with tact and always just says what comes into her mind." 

"It's fine I understand, I actually quite like people who say whatever they're thinking like Miss Thasinia." John replied. 

"Oh, why kiddo?" Thasinia asked. 

"Because you're the type of person that makes terrible liars." John said simply. 

Thasinia burst out laughing before saying. 

"haha, very true, I suck at games where I have to be deceitful." 

"You're alright Kido, I would be happy to handle your recovery treatment and help with your magic capability test in the future." Thasinia said with a smile. 

"I don't want to put you out, you said yourself you have important experiments going on in Genesis." John said. 

"It's fine, don't worry about it, besides there is no one better than me to give you your treatment and test." 

"Aunt Thasinia is right John, she may just say whatever she thinks of without thinking it through first, but she is also a genius doctor and scientist." Alea added. 

"Very well then thank you in advance." John said. 

"No problem, no problem, now how about we get your access band update sorted." Thasinia said as she went to a cabinet and rummaged around a bit until she said, "ah ha here it is." 

After which she came back with a jet-black access band. 

"Thasinia what's that?" Tanelia asked. 

"Are you going senile in your old age, it's an access band obviously." 

"I can see that, what I mean is why is it jet black? That's not the latest model." 

"Your right its better." Thasinia said with a large smile. 

"Better how?" 

"Secret." Thasinia said with a smug smile before continuing. 

"I know what you're going to say but don't worry, I already asked Tia to do a full check on it and make sure it's compatible with Genesis and is safe." 

"Then why have you not used it before?" Alea asked with a suspicious look. 

"Because I am too powerful." 

"Excuse me?" Tanelia said. 

"This access band which I call MK 0 is special in that it can only be used on an individual who has yet to enter Genesis for the first time." 

"You see the MK 0 is designed to grow with its user."
